  1. Brother Jagsaw Singh, I understand you being disheartened. But let me tell you one thing, relax and cool down, it is not worthy at all geting disturbed by these petty things. Usually we judge others with the parameters of our budhee. No 2 people are on a same consciouss level, that is why there is so much difference of opinions, hatred, and malice. Who are we to judge anybody? Are we faultless? Are we perefct? If not, then why so much dispaly of moorakhta, and point others? And all this that I am saying, I am not at all diirecting you, Jagsaw jee. You are a good, noble and a soft hearted person. Just think, the mod is also a human being, with all his plus and minus points, not forcefully he becomes better, by getting this nice sewa as a mod. It may take time to him, to grow to your level. You see, we are all learners here. We have to have the attitude of humility and being and giving a helping hand to the best of our ability, to anybody who may need it. You see, even being near and living with a mahapurukh or a gurmukh, does not guarantee, that our chit gets cleansed... So what to say of others, the rest of the world. Wahiguru is an Ocean of Daya Meher, of goodness; and, if we are ever to merge in Him, we should start right here cultivating these basic divine virtues of His, because only water can blend with water, oil with oil, so is our surtee with that Shabad. As some mahapurkh once said, apart from forgiveness and love, what else can we give to our fellow beings? They are already cursed by the Nature to an extent. So we must do good to all, maybe at some point they realize their mistake, or even if they may do not realize that, but we should have our consciousness clean, in the sense that, at least I have been sincere and given my best. You see, we have the bad habit of depending our state of peace of mind, on others opinions, which is certainly not good, neither advisable. The world is full of negativity, let them be as their manmukhta tells them to behave, sooner or later, they will have to pay. Nothing goes unnoticed by the wise Nature, howsoever we may try to give a touch of make up to our deeds, we are only cheating ourselves in the long run. And as per your question, of knowing and understanding spirituality, you are right, nobody can tell you anything, neither here, nor any other place... Why? Because, again we go to the point that, spiritual understanding is individual and something very personal, because it depends on the purity we have within us each one of us. It may happen, you see something crystal clear, and you may try to expalin it someone, but that person will never understand or accept that, on the contrary he may laugh and demean you... Spiritual understanding is not like cutting a birthday cake and sharing it with others which all can eat and taste its sweetness. This awareness, is not got by sharing or trying in giving it to others, it is something to work it out within us, with two necessary elements, 1st is His Grace, and 2nd, is the jugtee of His Simran. Does not the Bani say: Prabh ka Simran, gyan, dhyan, tat budh. From positive people we can at most get inspired, but, the gyan, the bliss, the peace, the cleansing of our dirty mind... in one word, even Wahiguru, the source of everything, can be easily got, with the repetition of His sweet Name. So brother relax, and engage some time of your day, in His bhajan bandagee, and then see the difference. Having Him with us, who else or what else do we need? Sat Sree Akal.
  2. Gurbani is not just reciting or lecturing. Gurbani is much more than all that. Gurbani is the living Amrit to be applied implicitly in our lives, in our beings, in order to achieve that purity required, to become one with Wahiguru Akal purukh. What is the use of preaching, if we do not apply it on us? Only when we apply it on us first, it will reflect out in our thoughts, in our words, in our actions.... Otherwise, it is like telling everybody, hey look there, there is a lot of food ....when the fact is we are hungry. It is indeed very good to tell everybody of the supreme importance of Gurbani, but if we ourselves do not apply it on ourselves, what good is doing that preaching? It is something to think about. Only when we experience it, can we convincingly transmit it to others. Because actions are stronger then words without contents. We are telling everybody Gurbani is so and so, but if we are moorakhs still by not following Gurbani implicitly, we are full of haume, of krodh and durmat, people may think one is a fraud, a bandalbaaz, or a dongee... Let us not demean Gurbani with our narrow mindedness, by demeaning and not seeing the goodness in others... And last, Gurbani is no theory. It is all practice of continuous truth, of continuous devotion or call it bhajan bandagee, that aso, for the only purpose of merging in Him. Sat Sree Akal.
  3. One thing is clear, the original form of the Truth is Satnam, is Shabad, is Naam. It is this one Truth, which whenever by its very own "Mauj" decides to come at our human level, it comes only in a human form in order to explain us(jeeva atmas) the higher truths and inspire us in doing the real bhakti, that also for the benefit for getting free from the Chaurasee ka chakar, and return back to our True Home, Sach Khand. Becasue if that power comes as an animal, bird or plant, we can never ever understand them, secondly, it is below the human form, which is considered the top of the creation. So you see, Wahiguru can never ever go in the sub human levels. Because, to return back to Him, only the mankind has that privilege. Once Wahiguru, finishes His particular job for that particular time, he returns back, discarding the human body covering, because there there is no gross matter, nor astral, neither causal...only true spirituality. It is not like, for example when He was embodied as Guru Nanak, then in the swaroop of Guru Angad Dev Maharaj, later Guru Amar Das...and so on with the other Guru Sahibans, that we think, each time He comes here, He goes on collecting those forms and keeps them there in Sach Khand. Plus all the shaheeds, or so many Bhagats or Gurmukhs throughout the history...all of them together there. Like in a concert or in a football match. No. That is our poor limited vision, if we think so. As said above, His True form is of Nirankar, of Shabad, of Naam. So when He goes back after completing His purpose of coming and dwelling among us, He resumes His original sawroop of Shabad. It is we people who are used to the diversity, and the more the better we think it will be. But through Sikhee, we come to know, Wahiguru is only One, and that too formless, and whosoever ever returns back there to Sach Khand, becomes one with Him without any distinctions. This is His wadeeayee, that once a dirty drop like us, gets purified by His Grace, and turns out into an infinite Ocean like Himself. But we manmukhs, not satisfied with this His Daat, we want to keep our identities even after reaching there, and that is impossible, because there we are mindless,(individual identity is due to the covering of the mind on us), thus truly one with the Shabad. Such is His Beant mahantaa... Oouch Apaar Soami, kaun jaane guna Tere. Wah Wah Sachay Patshah. Sat Sree Akal.
  4. Dhan Dhan Satguru Arjun Dev Maharaj beautifully tells us in Raag Gauri, the signs of the True Guru: The Divine Guru is the True Guru, the Supreme Lord God, the Transcendent Lord; Nanak bows in humble reverence to the Lord, the Divine Guru. Moreover, Guru Nanak Dev Maharaj referring to the True Guru, has Himself said in Sidh Ghost: Shabad Guru, Surat Dhun chela. We all know what Guru means, it means a Teacher, a Master, which we can truly apply to any of our beloved Guru Sahibans, the Gurmukhs or Bhagat Jan. Why can we do so, without making any possible mistakes? Because we also know, Guru means, dispeller of darkness, the one who takes us from the realms of darkness to the only realm of Eternal Light and bliss. And so, when we say takes us, to whom are we referring? Is it our bodies, which can go to Sach Khand? We may be mentally unbalanced if we think otherwise, because our real identity is, our souls, the jeev atma. So it is the souls, which the Guru takes to Sach Khand, the bodies are insentient, conciousless, which are left behind, just as the ones of any Guru Sahiban did also. So if the all powerfull Guru Sahibans left their bodies here, how come can we stupid manmukhs do the contrary to it? I guess many firmly believe, that if ever they have the chance of going to Sach Khand, they will see, all the Bhagats, the Gurmukhs, the Guru Sahibans sitting all together, as friends would meet here on earth in a party .... I feel pity, on how we manmukhs can limit the Bani with our poor vision... The Bani clearly says : Sach Khand vaseh Nirankar. Only the formless Lord resides in Sach Khand. It does not say, all the Guru sahibans and other so elevated souls live together there. Different thing is, that, that Formless Wahiguru assumes the human form for our benefit whenever He wishes to come at our level, but once He finishes His particular task for that time being, He returns back and assumes His natural swaroop as Nirankar(formless), thus as Alakh Purukh, as Agam Purukh, as Anami Purukh, in His True house Sach Khand. So going back to the point, of who the True Guru is, which guides the disciple back to Sach Khand, the Bani says: Nanak Nam Jahaz Hae, jin chareeya se utareeya paar. Again, we are directed to look at Naam or Shabad as the True Guru, because, only that wadbhagee soul, which grasps the strong powerful arm of the Shabad Guru, with love and devotion through His Simran, reaches safely back Home. The purpose of sikee is to make us aware of the only realty which exists, and that is Naam or Shabad alone. To this Naam or Shabad, Guru Arjun Dev Maharaj in Sukhmani Sahib, refers as the True Primal Guru: Aad Gurey nameh, I bow to the Primal Guru. Jugad Gurey nameh, I bow to the one Guru in all ages Satguru deveh nameh, I bow to that True Guru. Sree Guru deveh nameh I bow to that Divine Guru. Guru Nanak, and all the Guru Sahibans or Bhagat Janas, are all His limited projections, for the only purpose of making Himself known to us, and to teach us the way to love Him, to devote ourselves unto Him through surrender or sharnagatee, in the form of Prem Bhakti of His Simran. The path of sikhee, is for the soul, which is the true disciple, and it is this disciple, which has gone astray and lost its way of its True house, thus it is the one to be guided by the True Guru, which is none other than Shabad Guru. So in a way Wahiguru is the Aad Guru, the source of all Light, all truth and all Bliss. So much debates of, if the physical form of the Guru is their True form of Wahiguru... Let us see a bit on it. If it was so, the wicked people who tortured Guru Arjun Dev Maharaj, would have not done so. If the physical body is the Guru, then surely, Prithi Chand, having one Guru Sahiban as a Father, and another Guru Sahiban as a brother, would have not been wicked at all. It is the inner Jot of these mahapurkhs, which is the True Guru, which, when the soul has the darshan within, the mind stops all "durmat" or "manmat". Why do we say the inner form is True Guru, because that swaroop never changes, is never altered, or modified. So we may now ask, how to manifest that inner True Guru within us. To this question, Dhan Dhan Satguru Amar Das Maharaj gives us the answer in Anand Sahib: Naam jinke man vaseeya, vajeh Shabad ganere. Once we collect back our surtee within, with the jugtee of Naam Simran, we remove the rust and wax of our filthy karmas, then we gradually start to listen that sweet madhur Bani within us, and also have the Darshan of the Jot emanating from that Shabad. So it is obvious from the Bani, that all the Guru Sahibans are of course lovely and utmost sweet to us, but it is their inner reality, which is Naam or Shabad, which is the real Guru, which is not born, nor does it ever dies, but rather is a Dhara, which has emerged from Satnam Samundar, to hold and catch those wadbhagee jeevas as Dhun, and take them safely back, into the Apaar and beant Satnam Samundar, namely Wahiguru Akal Purukh. Sat Sree Akal.
  5. In my humble opinion, we are mistaking the Light with the bulb, in the sense the physical form of Guru, like Guru Nanak Dev Maharaj and Waheguru Akal Purukh. In the Aartee, we hear and read: Sabh meh Jot, Jot hae soee. The Light is present in all, and that very Light is the ultimate Truth. This makes sense, because only a ray, a soul, from that Light, can merge in that Primal Light. As we all know, when we die, our perishable bodies are left here to be buried or burnt, in those subtle planes of Spirituality, there is no gross matter at all as seen here. So it is the light(soul) that merges in that Light(Satnam). And that light, can be of 1 watts, as per ours; or it can be of 1000 watts, as per of a Gurmukh. The difference of the refulgence between the both lights, is that, while our individual soul is covered with the triguna, maya, karamas and mind; the Light of the Gurmukhs or Guru Sahibans, is totally free of any such dust or coverings, that is why they radiate so much love, so much Daya Meher...and it is this Their Pure spiritual Light which attracts us towards them as "moths", and we feel so much prem or love for them, though it maybe even their transient physical swaroop, we get the fragrance of Wahiguru from them. Waheguru is a level of Highest Consciousness, or call it Energy, which is known also as Naam, Shabad, Sachee Bani or Anhad Bani, which is beyond births, deaths, and so is changeless also. It is our love for the physical form of Nanak Dev Maharaj, due to our limited or dull spiritual vision, which does not allow us to see that Jot of Wahiguru in Him. So we cling on to that physicall form as sole reality. We do not see His reality, beyond the perception of our senses : karm indriya or gyan indriya. The physical forms of the Gurumukhs or Guru Sahibans too, are born as babies, then change into adults, even the old age comes at the due time, and finally they also leave their physical body like any of us, and this body is dissolved into the 5 elements, from which all the gross creation is made of. So if that physical form passes away, it can not be the real form of Wahiguru. Not that Wahiguru is not present fully in that form, but certainly Wahiguru is not limited to that form. The Bani says : the Lord resides in the tongue of the Sadh Janas ....the Lord resides in the hearts of the Sadh Janas. So you see, it is that power which takes seat and manifests Itself through the Gurmukhs or Guru Sahibans, for us limited human beings in order to make us understand that Primal Truth, namely Wahiguru Akal Purukh, and also to show us the path of devotion through His Naam Simran and make us leave aside all our rituals, dogmas, or in one word, "manmukhta" Wahiguru resides in that form, for a particular time , for a particular purpose, then, it passes on as per His will. If Guru Nanak Dev Maharaj´s physical form was the True form of Wahiguru, it would have descended here as such, but we also know, that it was not like that, it passed away and continued the parmarath with the form of second Patshahee, Guru Angad Dev Maharaj, and it continued so on. If Guru Nanak Dev Maharaj´s physical form, was the True form of Wahiguru, the Mool Mantar would have said: Ik Oankar, Satgur Nanak Dev Maharaj and so on.... But we know, it is not like that, rather it says: Ik Oankar, Satnam, karta Purakh, nirbav, nirvair, akal moorat , ajoonee So, that True form of Wahiguru which is beyond time, which is ajoonee, which is Saibhang ... Is none other than Satnam, or call it wahiguru Akal Purukh, and this form of Wahiguru is realized by His Grace or Gurparsad alone. It is this form of Nam, of Shabad, of Sachee Bani, from where all of us have emerged, and where we have to merge also, in order to be freed from Maya, births and deaths once and forever. We also are a particle of that Wahiguru as souls, but the difference between us manmukhs and them Gurmukhs or Guru Sahibans, is that, while we are chained with the filth of karmas, mind and vikaars thus bound into the mayavee creation, they, on the other side, Guru Sahibans come under the Hukum of Wahiguru, or we can say, Wahiguru, to make Himself visible to us limited beings, He takes a limited physical form as a Gurmukh, a Sant Jan, a Brahmgyani or call it may Guru Sahiban, and that´s it. And these Guru Sahibans, have no such karma to bind them here, they are spotless, their mind is crystal clear, they can return into Satnam, back per will, but nevertheless, they say, they do everything and live under His Hukum, such is their humility, their nimrata ... To the extent, they say, we are His servants, His priceless slaves...when in the reality, their chit is one with Wahiguru Akal Purukh. Sangat Jee, the Bani of our Guru Sahibans is utmost beautiful, utmost sweet, beyond any imagination, with a depth, that to understand it fully in the context our Guru Sahibans want us grasp their message, we need a lot of purity ...vikaars of hatred, anger, avarice, jealousy, malice, ego or haume.... have clouded our chits. For that, we need a regular daily dose of humility, simplicity, goodness, truthfulness, with the aid of Bhajan Bandagee, and to top it all, His Grace. Sat Sree Akal.
  6. LOL Kira Jee, if you go to my profile you will know about my male gender...lol I do not know how you thought of me being a benji, because I am a "Paa jee", a brother. I respect women, but if ever of anything I am proud of, is of my male gender and all that implies, as per how Wahiguru has made me. I know this may sound egoistic, but well, for good or bad, that is how I am. Earthwise It is great, to be a man, and to respect and love a woman, have children and love them. It is a blessing from Wahiguru. Clear enough Kira jee ? Sat Sree Akal.
  7. Dear posters Kira Jee; simran345, and all, nobody is perfect here, starting with this das itself. We are all struggling souls here, if we were perfect, we would have been with Him already, with all that, that divine status implies. But that does not mean ,if we see something good in others, we should not congratulate them. Just as seen here, if someone sees according to his/her distorted understanding, that something is not correct, they start firing abuses without giving a second thought, or being aware and respectful to the sangat. That too, when anything here can be dealt with politeness, it costs nothing guys. If anyone has love and faith in Wahiguru, that is very good, why should we feel insecure or jealous? Or feel, that only we know ... so we start debating, that also just for our haume ... why is it we are so complicated? where is our sense of nobility and humility? Haume blinds our budhee, our sense of discrimination and thus we become shameless moorakhs ... Once again, Kira Ji has positively surprised me with the latest posts above, which only a spiritual mature person can do. I am amazed. It seems, that with difficulties thrown on(unreasonable and hard questions), Kira surpasses all of them gracefully, with peace and calmness, without losing the posture of being so human and so humble at the same time. And this is not because of anything, but because of being truthful to the Bani and having unwavering faith and love for Wahiguru. So hats off to Kira Jee And then simran345 jee, I do not compliment anybody just like that. I just say what I perceive, not that I know anybody here, but I perceive all goodness from you and Kira jee. And as well in other members/posters, like jonny101, or jsinghz, fancy banana, Jacfsing2,and so many others, whose names do not come in my mind now(excuse me for that), but we know them all ... Each and everyone here doing the ustatee, singing the wadeeayee of Wahiguru Akal Purukh, it is just delightful. It is great to be among so many noble people, I see great spiritual potential in all. And as said before, this is what counts ... Inspite of our imperfections, we are heading towards the Light. Some prefer to look to the darkness in others, I prefer to look at the Light in everyone. God bless all. Sat Sree Akal.
  8. What a brilliant explanation Kira Ji. Just simple and few words, and you have beautifully said it. I have had the chance to listen the kathas of quite a few gyanis, and read religious scriptures as well, and I think none had said something so logical, so truthful, and in such a very nice way. But I must say, you are a noble soul, your thoughts, your posts, are the best expressions of what I am saying. Keep being like that in life, with your positive attitude, and your kindness, and you will acheive a lot with His blessings, means, you will be receptive to His grace. I also take the opportuniy here, to congratulate all the Sangat in general, as almost all are very good and helpful persons. Not to name any, but special mention to Simran345 also, who for me is a fantastic and a very good hearted person, and as always, this attitude is what counts in one´s favour. May Wahiguru bless all. Sat Sree Akal
  9. Dear Akalifauj, Following are the words of Bhagat Kabir in Raag Aasaa, where we can see, Bhagat Kabeer Jee´s answer to your question: ਰਾਮ ਨਾਮ ਲਗਿ ਉਤਰੇ ਤੀਰਾ Raam Naam Lag Outharae Theeraa राम नाम लगि उतरे तीरा One is carried across to the other side, holding fast to the Lord's Name. Raag Aasaa Bhagat Kabir Just like the Bani says: Nanak Nam jahaz hae, jin chareea se utareeya paar, He too says, one is carried across to the other side by holding on His Naam. You may very well know, everting was created from Naam, and all souls are like rays from that Naam. What to say of hindus or muslims souls, but it is the same with all the living creatures, or those bodiless ..... all souls have emerged from Him alone. It is only when the souls take birth on earth with the gross bodies, it is only then, that they are classified in the different living stages or levels of consciousness, according to their past karmas. If Wahiguru is one, the sole Creator, naturally the Path leading us towards Him, has to be one for the souls. He can not make distictions as we do, to His very own souls. Wahiguru is the same in all, or is there any other god as their origin. Devis, devtas and gods ... are worshipped by different people, but even then, their origin is Wahiguru, not those gods, godesses .... Wahiguru is the source of all lights, even of those very gods, worshipped by so many humans. Different thing is, if Wahiguru wants to keep running the creation, so He keeps those souls aloof of His reality, that is why there are so many dharams, religions, and a huge list of diversity created by Maya where manmukhs are lost... Everything is under His Hukum, not even a leaf of a tree can move without His Hukum But in any case, if ever anyone can ever reach Wahiguru, it is only by His Nam Simran, no other way. Religions here can be many, but the path leading to Him, is only one, and that is the Jahaaz of His Nam alone. That is why the Bani has clearly said: Jug chaare Nam outam, Shabad beechar. Throughout all the 4 ages, Nam is the only reality. Nam is not a word written or spoken, but a Supraconsciouss power, which has created the creation and as well as sustains it also. Different thing is that our soul disconeccts itself from the outer world, with the aid of repetition of Wahiguru for example, in order to experiment or realize that power, that Nam or Shabad within us. So it is the concentration , which transports our attention from the outer world to the inner reality. That is why second Patshahee says: seeing without eyes, hearing without ears, walking without feet .... means, the bodiless soul by itself, can see the Jot of Wahuguru and hear His Anhad Shabad. Physicall eyes and ears, can never hear or see truly Wahiguru, not even the mind, it is the soul which can alone do so. The Bani says: Anter Jot, niranter Bani, Sachay Sahib siu liv laee. Within us, is His Light and Shabad Dhun, to which when we listen and have the darshan within, then true permanent love and faith are generated in us for Him. And to know about Him, believe in Him, think or meditate upon Him, can only be possible, if He has so wriiten on our foreheads, not otherwise, or let us say if He so wishes. What others(from any religion) believe or do, has nothing to do with His hukum, because even the atheists, or any creature, are so by nature under His Hukum. After all, it is by His Hukum that one merges his/her soul in Him, not by belonging to any particular religion, as we have seen above, Naam is the only reality, be it may any yuga, be it may any number of times the cycles of yugas... Sat Sree Akal.
  10. Navi Jee, it is your negative mind, which is tormenting you. It is the duty of the mind as a faithful servant of Kal Purukh to keep the jeevas in one way or other confused and entangled in the mayavee trilokee creation. But we are no less also, we are Sikhs of the Aad Guru, Wahiguru. Howsoever mentally limited we maybe, but if we give our hand to the Guru within us(means having faith in Him), He will get hold of us and pull us out, from this lower level of ours, to His level, the land of eternal Light and bliss, Sach Khand. Be brave, fight with the mind, by telling him, listen, do as much mischief as you want, I am not going to listen anything from you. Because of doing what you wanted and made me dance to your tunes, I am wandering life after life in this mayavee chakra. Now I will follow only Gurmat, in order to wash all the durmat thrown by you on me, thus become free from your tentacles and defeat you. By His Grace, I have taken shelter at His Lotus Feet, none of your tantrums will work on me now. All the naach gaana, bhangra party, films, etc that you think you are missing... ask yourself, what is all that? Isn´t that, leaving the mind freely to run farther and farther in maya? Then what? The more we run outside, the farther we go away from Wahiguru, and the more difficult it becomes to return back. You see, the mind is fond of pleasures, of tastes , of jumping from place to other like a monkey. In this way, we can never achieve peace of mind, we are restless all the time. According to Gurmukhs, Mahapurukhs, we should take advantage of this minus point of the mind of constantly running and seeking sensual pleasures, and defeat it. And to defeat it, there is no other way, than to give it such a taste, that it will get satiated and stop running after anything. And to achieve this, we need veerta, bravery, will power, love, faith, all these virtues combined in one jugtee; which is none other than Naam Simran. Once the theif mind, tastes the rus of Naam, it sits down once and forever, and turns out to be our friend. Then it stops all its lower tendencies, and gets transformed into a higher mind, and will be helpful friend in your devotion towards Wahiguru. But to achive all that, we have to be brave first, and be real sikhs. To be a sikh is not go and fight with five people(goons) and beat and thrash them. Though that is admirable, but we must bear in mind, that our mind is our true enemy to be fought and defetated. We call mind our enemy, because it stands and blocks our way, to return to Sach Khand. The Bani says : nimakh nimakh kar sareer katave, taubee haume mel na jaave. One may cut the body even into a thousand pieces, even then, the filth from the mind can not be erased. On the other hand it says: Prabh ka Simran, man kee mael jaae. Through His Simran alone, the filth from our minds is washed away. While we moorakhs are brutes and manmukhs, our wise Guru Sahibans, give us the jugtee of discipline and devotion = Simran, so that we can change the course of our existence, and achieve the goal of our lives, and that is to merge in Him. Simran, simran and more simran, is the only true medicine, to make us strong and spiritually healthier beings. May Wahiguru´s blessings be on you, and you realize how wadbhagee are you. Sat Sree Akal.
  11. Dear Kira Jee, you are most welcome. Please, no thankings. If ever, anything you want to give, just bless me so to have more and more love for His Lotus Feet. It is an inmense pleasure to sing His glory and listen to His praises. We are all here to do Wahiguru Akal Purukh´s sifat salah. Sat Sree Akal.
  12. Sangat Jee, one more thing, the word religion comes from the latin word "religare", which means that which reunites with the origin. And so what is that, that reunites our souls with our origin Wahiguru? As per Bani, it is Naam or Shabad only. The teachings of our Guru Sahibans, in form of Bani or call it Sikhee, are the directions from Akal Purukh for we people, in order to free ourselves from this mayavee creation, and return back to Him. And this "daat" as such, of this blessing of Sikhee on us, can never ever be destroyed or erased. Firstly because we have no access to it, it is an inner path to be travelled within us, by our surtee. This path is so subtle, that not even mind can walk on it, nor any gods/godesses, nor even Kal Purukh. This path, even among all of us, only those wadbhagee jeevas whom He wishes so, will walk on it. Nobody else can do so by his/her will. So you see, the question of killing sikhee or ersaing or destroying does not arise at all. Sikhee is not like for example an outward road, where some bad people or terrorists come, bomb it and blow it. Generally speaking, we take things too literally, but Sikhee is much much more than anything we can ever imagine even. No gods, devtas or any power can ever alterate Sikhee as per the True teachings of our Guru Sahibans. We may turn our backs to Sikhee, but then we are the ones to loose. Sikhee is still there, unshakable. If we turn our faces from the Sun, that does not mean, the Sun is drowning, it is we, who have chosen to walk in the darkness. And the result of this we all know, is that we shall fall in the pitfall of "chaurasee ka chakar". Does not the Bani say: Aap japaae, japeeye so Nao; Aap gavaae, toh Har gun gaaun. From this we understand, that it is He, by His apaar kirpa, that we mediatate on Him, by the repetition of His sweet Naam. We are so full of filth, that if it was not for Him, we would never even think of Him, forget singing His glory alone. So brothers, in a way we are lucky, we are blessed, that Wahiguru has allowed us, to love Him and have an infinitessimal idea of His magnificence. And that is not by any of our merits, but because of His unbound Daya Meher upon us. So, this makes us to think a bit ; if having faith and love for Him, or walk the path of Sikhee is by His Hukum, why should we ever even laugh, taunt or get angry on those who know nothing about Wahiguru, or, they are following a different religion for any reason may it be: social, geographical, race or community.... Let us ask ourselves, what has that poor fellow/jeeva/soul done, to not be in Sikhee like any of us? What can they ever do by themselves, if the creator Wahiguru, has placed them on other dharams, for the reasons which only He knows ? Who can go against His Hukum? If anybody has a little faith, or no faith in Him, believe it, that is because of his/her destiny/karmas, it means his/her time has not come yet,so we should never ever laugh or ill treat those who do not belive in Him, rather we should feel pity on them and pray Wahiguru, to also bless them, as they are His souls as much as we are. We, by using His virtues of love, grace and mercy in us, and projecting those spiritual vibrations on others,we become divine and we get nearer/attracted to Him, as we are cultivating those virtues which have affinity with His nature. If someone says under manmat or ignorance, my dharam is superior or better than yours, let them say, we know in the depth of our being, that, that is not true, but it is because, He has chosen us to believe in Him, and he not yet ... We should thank Him baraambaar, for this His apaar kirpa on us. Bani says: we are vishtaa ke kirey, and even then, He has chosen us, to get out from the filthy creation, and merge in Him. Usually we take things for granted, but we can never even imagine how much Daya Meher has Wahiguru showered on us ... It is beyond our comprehension .... For all this Bakshish on us, we should never be proud of ourselves, but rather be humble from the bottom of our hearts, because all that we posses, or we know, is not much by our merits, but by His grace alone. I am sure, some twisted mind may say, all this said above is cowardice, we should beat all those out there, who talk rubbish about Sikhee. But let us ask ourselves, as said above, who can defeat of harm Sikhee? It is the biggest stupid thing that one can think in doing so, because it is impossible...It is their bharam. I think it needs a lot of courage and bravery to handle such unpleasant moments, it is easy to get carried away and enter into reactions, but it is the very Bani, which makes us much more mature then our opponents, to face them cheerfullly without loosing dignity, otherwise, we are at the same low level as the moorakhs. I am sorry to say, but by slandering the Sun, the sunshine does not diminish, as the heights of the Sun are unreachable by anyone. Other thing is, if someone comes to harm us, for that, yes we should do all the possible to defend ourselves. There are some nice few words, full of wisdom from Charlie Chaplin, which I would like to share here: You need power, only when you want to do something harmful, otherwise love is enoungh to get everything done. And as true sikhs, we can bring changes to an extent, by being firm in our convictions, but without getting into the chains of violence and reactions. Each and everyone here is free to do and believe what one feels like, just as I have expressed my opinions freely, but, I would say that much, I have given a touch to them, with the fragrance of Sikhee, that also, not of my own merits, but by His Grace alone. May Wahiguru bless all. Sat Sree Akal.
  13. Brother Jacfsing2, I am sorry to contradict you, but in the very first line of my post, I start with: Ik Oankar, Satgur parsad, jaap. Right ? So you see, nothing happens without His Grace, as He is nothing but an Infinte Ocaen of Love and Grace. Sat Sree Akal Jee.
  14. Good topic Bro Jsinghz, First of all, let us see what is sikhee? Sikhee is a path of discipleship. A path where a disciple firmly follows his Guru without any waverings. But then we may think, what if when we die, does that comes to an end? To understand this path of Sikhee, let us in the correct light who is a disciple or sikh and who is the Guru. The true disciple is the jeeva, the surtee, the soul, who is a particle, a drop, of that Infinte Ocean, namely Wahiguru. Because it is the subtle soul, which is of the essence of Wahiguru, and which merges in Wahiguru. All the three bodies, mind, are just coverings or wrappings on the soul, which is the reality of us. We have just seen above who or what is a true sikh. So now let us see, who is the True Guru. The Bani says: Shabad Guru, surat dhun chela. Here Guru is telling us, that Wahiguru Akal Purukh, in His Shabad swaroop, is our True Guru. Because, by catching on His that roop, we cross once and forever, from these planes of darkness, pain and sorrow, towards the the only plane of permanent Light, Joy and unlimited bliss, namely Sach Khand. This is what all Guru Sahibans tell us about in the Bani. But we stupid manmukhs, have addded a lot of other outer elements, and limited the teachings of our beloved Guru Sahibans within the 4 walls of our manmaat, so naturally, if we become weak by not following strictly Gurmat, we are destroying sikhee as per the purpose of our Guru Sahibans, which was to generate love and devotion in us for His Lotus Feet, thus carry us across the Maha Bhavsagar and reach safely Sach Khand, with the aid of Naam alone. So brother, by following anything else apart of this path drawn for us by our Guru Sahibans, is nothing but turning our backs to their priceless Gurbani, and yet we proudly say we are sikhs. Thus we are declining We are only sikhs, if we follow Gurmat implicitly, otherwise we are just cheating ourselves and declining downwards. Gurbani is high, pure, paviter, and perfect by itself, it is we, who are going astray away and away from it, the fault is with us, never with Gurbani. One way to overcome, is to read carefully each and every single word from the Bani, (not like parrots)and let it go deep within us, by His Simran, then only shall we see the difference within us, we shall come to know by ourselves, if we are true sikhs or just by lips. There is no match to Gurbani, neither in taste, neither in the goodness... Gurbani is unique and supreme. Sat Sree Akal.
  15. To answer this question, let us first see what is Truth. As the Bani says: Ik Oankar, Satnam, Satgur parsad jap. Moreover, it also says: Jug chaarey Nam ootam, Shabad beechaar. From this we come to understand, that though Gurmat as we know, started with First Patshahee Guru Nanak Dev Maharaj some 700/800 hundred years back; but the very Gurbani tells us, this Truth of Naam or Shabad, is the way to Wahiguru in all ages, for all jeevas, the path of Naam bhakti as we know through the Bani, can not be for a limited number of souls, in a particular community, caste, creed or country. The Bani says: sabna jeea ka Iko Daata. So if He is the only sole Creator of everything, and He is the only unvariably One, He can not act and discriminate as we limited moorakhs usually do, as all belong to Him as souls. We bilnd people see bodies, skin colours, castes, religions, genders ... and a big etc. While He only sees His Jot in all of us. He knows all our bodies are due to our own karmas, but inspite of that, He is present in all in equal manner, whether it is a saint, a dacoit, a goon, a mahatma, a beast or an ordinary person ... He is present in all. Other thing is, how much we have Him present in us, or make us receptive to His grace, by staying in His bhaana and loving Him from the very core of our hearts. That is what makes the difference. No cocroach or rat, by remaining in a temple, church, mosque or gurdwara becomes holy by just being there. This means, we do not become saintly, just by following rituals, be them any. But, only by His Simran, yes, we become holy, and thus accepted in His Darbar. That is why Guru Sahiban said: Prabh ka Simran sabh te oochaa, or , Nanak Naam jahaz hae, jin chareeya se utareeya paar. So if ever we find any such scripture, which tells us that in order to become one with Him, we should get hold of that one changeless reality, which is none other than Wahiguru, Satnaam, Naam or Shabad, then yes, it is equal to Gurbani, not otherwise. Because no Gurmukh ever comes to start or create any new religion, for them, Wahiguru is the only realty, thus Naam or Shabad is the only path leading to Him. Sat Sree Aakal.
  16. Going a bit further with this present topic..... whether if we get jobs of our choices or not, there is definetely something to keep in mind always, as we never know what have we got to face . And that point is mentioned in the following lines. Someone once asked a mahatma, Sir , in case of doubt, how to differentiate what is paap or punya (sin or virtue)? The answer given was: anything that takes you towards Wahiguru, is punya; and anything which takes you away from Him, is paap, and one should definetely avoid it. Now, some may believe, if I kill anybody in god´s name, I will definetely go to heaven. That is ignorance, that is fanatism, that is evil. God resides in every heart, and to just give pain or trouble someone for any reason, is an open invitation to ourselves to go direct to hell. Let nobody remain in delusion, if there is any jugtee to make us merge in Him, that according to the Bani, is first His apaar Grace, without which we can never ever think even of Him, and secondly, as the Bani says: Jin Har japeeya, se Har hoeeya. That means, only by His Simran, can we remove the filth of karmas upon us, and thus become pure paviter to merge in Him. This is Gurbani, this is Gurmat....anything apart from this, is definetely "manmukhta". We should try to remain satisfied at all times, as we have to settle our karmic debts with those which we interact. All relations of familiy, friends, foes, work, etc are are due to our karmic settlement with them, and the law of karmas is so strict that nobody can escape from it, so there we hardly have any free will. On the contrary, there are no such restrictions of any kind in doing the bhakti of Wahiguru Akal Purukh; for that is the only true wealth which we shall carry with us on our departure from this plane. So if we have even a penny of common sense, we should gather it, as much as we can, and that means to be consciouss at all times of this golden opportuniy of human birth, given to us as a blessing from Him, so that we do His devotion with all our heart and soul, and that too as said before as much as we can. Of course Maya and vices/vikaars are there, but with the aid of Bani, and by practicaly applying it in our lives as means of His devotion, we shall overcome all these obstacles in due time. Sat Sree Akal.
  17. Today I was just surfing on the web, and I found the following article interesting, which may answer the question of this thread: Said the Master to the businessman: “As the fish perishes on dry land, so you perish when you get entangled in the world. The fish must return to the water — you must return to solitude.” The businessman was aghast. “Must I give up my business and go into a monastery?” “No. no. Hold on to your business and go into your heart.” The main thing I see and understand from the article above is that, one may be in the world, as much only is required, not more, otherwise we may become entangled in it. As there is almost nothing which happens according to our wishes(for example the work we may have or do), so better attend to it as Hukum, and then do the real job of bhajan bandagee, cherish true love for Him in our hearts, and seek Him in the depth of our beings, there where He resides. Then, only when we see Him within us, shall we see Him everywhere, not otherwise round. Sat Sree Akal
  18. In my opinion, we should do any do any work available, to earn our living honestly, without compromising moral laws. There is so much worldwide crisis nowadays, that it is luxurious to have choices. But in any case, as said, work for the world, just to earn your daily bread with honest means. Not by torturing, taking advance of others or by cheating anyone, because that will be a hindrance in our spiritual life. Then, from one´s salary, one should give at least a dasvand of it, otherwise whatever we can, it will be acceptable in His eyes. We give dasvand not for expectation for rewards, but to cut our attachments with Maya to an extent, and at the same time have an humble attitude of gratitude towards Wahiguru, for allowing us to live decently, for only then can one easily concentrate on Him. See how many people have economic problems, thus they maybe spiritual oriented, but then, they find it difficult to focus on spirituality....So better to thank Him, for all His unlimited Grace upon us. Wahiguru is nowhere outside, to whom we have particular timings for meeting or appointment, He is right within us, as soon we wish to conatct Him, we just shift our thoughts towards Him, that´s it. Sat Sree Akal.
  19. To all those who slander or abuse in name of religion or dharma, and to those who are forced/ill treated by the narrow mindedness of others, for both of them, following are some soothing words of the Bani of our Guru Sahibans, where it clearly shows, we are nobody, it is all His Grace. To those who take shelter at His Feet, He will surely accept and embrace them; and to those who slander or demean others, due to their ego or narrow mindedness, even for those, we should do Ardas to Wahiguru to bless them with Gurmat, otherwise the poor, which door shall they knock for forgiveness? They should only be blessed with forgiveness from Him, for nature has already made them as untolerable as they are, due to their past sanskaras. It is a pity, in spite of having the Maha Gyan of our Guru Sahibans in the Bani, we still are so mean, and mentally unbalanced, that we sit and judge, even condemn, without even having a single gramme of humanity and compassion. With what right and authority do we judge and condemn? We profess love and devotion to Guru Jee, but we forget, that the way to Wahiguru is of love and by imbibing His virtues. If we want to merge in Him, we have to become spotless as Him...and that, has to begin right from this Earth plane. Following are the soothing words of Fourth Patshahee in Raag Soohee: jay lok salaahay taa tayree upmaa jay nindai ta chhod na jaa-ee. If people praise me, the praise is Yours. Even if they slander me, I will not leave You jay tuDh val rahai taa ko-ee kihu aakha- o If You are on my side, then anyone can say anything. tuDh visri-ai mar jaa-ee. But if I were to forget You, then I would die. Intelect and cleverness(chaturaee), are not the instruments to realize Him, it is simplicity, faith and love above all in Wahiguru to come nearer to Him and finally merge in Him, rest is all "koor", is all "fanah" Only one Wahiguru is Sach, and His Nao is Sach. Sat Sree Akal.
  20. Religious intolerance Here is a story of three different religious representatives who were traveling in an over-crowded Indian train. They were a Hindu priest, a Muslim teacher and a Christian minister. The three of them were seated on same row of seats, in the same compartment, and as each one of them believed to be superior to the others and obviously thought his own religion was greater than any other, they were rigidly trying to keep their distance and not even looking at each other. In front of them was sitting a journalist who was amused by their behaviour and was wondering how people could become so narrow-minded and dogmatic. It was late at night and sleep was overpowering the three men. When one is on threshold of sleep, the gross body becomes inactive, the subtle body becomes weak, and the causal body takes over. The three men started dozing and falling on each others, but would quickly check themselves and sit straight again. Finally they all went asleep and ended up lying with the head touching the feet of each other. The journalist, seize the rare opportunity and with his instant Polaroid camera, took a picture of the three men. Next morning, when they got up. They quickly moved away from each other and once more tried to maintain their air of superiority. The journalist quietly showed them the photograph with a smile. It is our body consciousness. Which creates so many differences. Religions based on such difference become compartmentalized, and create only divisions. People who meditate deeply, understand the spirit(Wahiguru Akal Purukh, God...) above all religions, and the inner harmonious unity(Ram Naam hae Jot Sabaee) which is present in all beings/jeevas, irrespective of colour, creed, caste or nationality. Sat Sree Akal.
  21. Brother Singh Jee, I have rewinded the posts here since yesterday that have created so much fuss and so much hatred and with loss of respect, and I have come to a conclusion, it is a pity.... So much inducing others in producing hatred in them...after all, for what...what is the need for all that? It seems people are just waiting to create problems and fights.... It is naturally wickedness .... Can´t we talk as humans without insulting each other? As rational beings, rather than as beasts? Otherwise, we loose our temper and become blind for that time being, which leaves us with a durable sensation of uneasiness. It happens with me, and I am sure it must be the same with all others as seen through their posts even after 24 hours .... All the things started with the original poster putting some information that Christ will come and kill .... To which I said, Christ could never do such things. And since then, I was fired with unbiased accusations of being a christian, or almost near to them ... or as someone said, it seemed him that my posture here was due to having met Christ..... Or that I was on drugs, someone even went to the extent, and said he was sure that I would go to hell .... or, also said, leave sikhee .... My God, so much rubbish... so much nonsense, it seems people are just waiting to fight, without seeing the situation from a better view and then giving a sound opinion.... This only brings sadness in me, of course anyone can behave as he/she wants, but then, they are responsible for their actions. Can you see, how people start or how they end, without any sense in it... I admit, I also lost my temper cause I was provoked with false accusations. I also know, I should not have got involved into their dirty games, though maybe unconscioussly started by them One just wonders, what the hell is going in their minds to behave so, but thanks to Wahiguru, I will continue my way, with the only supposrt of His Lotus Feet. I do not need the world to tell me what to do, and as for all of them, I will only pray to Akal Purukh to bless them anyhow with better understanding and a purer heart, without the vikar of hatredness. And not only that, but at the same time, if by any means, they have felt disturbed because of me, please forgive me. I am not important, as much as, peace is needed among us. I also know, I will not become less, in being true to myself by doing so, as per asking for forgiveness from each of the members here . Sat Sree Akal.
  22. S4NGh, sorry to say, you know anything about Christ, and above all you neither know what is sikhee or Gurmat. You are swimming in your own big sea of manmat. You are misinterpreting everything, Christ as a saint was not the body as you seem to believe. Suppose according to you he was fake, then he should be in the hell already and if so, how can he be the way to God? On the other side, if he was a Perfect Saint, He has merged himself in that Primal God, then too, how can He be the way now? So you see, your reasoning, has nothing sound in it .... it all your own hallucinations .... Come on man, do not be so petty. Sat Sree Akal. Sat Sree Akal
