  1. IT was a rubhab probably - or a mandolin. The instrument has been around since Guru G's time. The bibi is often der at rehnsbhaiz playing it. sounds wkdddddd
  2. contact da olda taksaali singhs with his name and whereabouts so they can approach him directly, which dey hav dun in da past
  3. 1 thing i was thinkin, its amazin how all da speeches from da past n stuff are collected and listened to ova n ova again. ppl have da speeches on der fone, listen 2 em ova n ova again but i think its jus a novelty to ppl. its like da paintings and music of artistes who became famous once dey died speeches like these need to also b spread far n wide
  4. yeah out the following Sukha Singh is safe Roop Singh Dal Singh from Cov Shivcharan Singh Harjinder Singh "Nick" from Walsall Bhai Mohinder Singh - GNNSJ
  5. Roop Singh does go on the nature of the programme when it comes to charging - so its best to contact the geeza who will give you a more accurate breakdown.
  6. I know someone who had a party there very recently. Apparently, they charge quite a bit for it. The price they put on selling out our Guru though eh? What makes it worse, which i dont understand AT ALL, is that the temporary Gurdwara used to be situated in the exact spot where they are now serving meat sharaab! People dance intoxicated over the spot where for a year (if not more) Guru Granth Sahib jee was sitting on His throne embracing the saadh sangat day in day out. And now the same Gurdwara commitee has sold out and allowed manmatt activities to continue there. R4G etc wont do anything though - because the building is not joined on to the Gurdwara - its a 30second walk away. And they use that as an excuse. And the Gurdwara are slimey - if they suspect that someone is going to cause a fuss, they will put the building into the name of one of the trustees at the Gurdwara so they can turn around and say "its in the name of an individual - not the Gurdwara sahib". Politics eh? So anyway, programmes next weekend. May Guru G bless us with His heavenly kirttan
  7. U lotz r 2 funi! Also, aint wednesfield gurduara the one where they own a hall near by serving meat and sharaab for wedding and pre-wedding parties? :s I know there was a hoo-haa not too long ago. If the jathas and programme organisers would stop organising events there, mayb dey wud get the hint that they need to shut the place down and use it wisely...?
  8. He really truly was a decent paajee... a tragic loss for us... a magnificent gain for heaven...
  9. WJKK WJKF Its with great sadness to have to announce that a Singh from down the road (West Bromwich) was involved in a motorbike accident last night and was pronounced dead in the early hours of this morning. He was well known in West Bromwich and often went to prgrammes. I believe he was about 18 years old and known as Iky. The sangat in West Brom are very shook and hurt by this terrible news. There is a programme tonight at Edward St ... 6pm - Sukhmani Sahib Paath 7pm - Keertan Darbaar I hope everyone will do Chaupee Sahib and Keertan Sohala paath for this young soul.
  10. I will see if i can buy the book that i saw it in or take a photo of it with my fone. It should be on saintsoldiers or something somewhere but too many pics to go through! If anyone else comes accross it please do help.
  11. WGKK WGKF I have a quick question... i was browsing a book in the Sikh library at our local Gurdwara and saw a photograph of Sant Jarnail Singh Jee Khalsa Bhindranwale receiving a siropa and a book entitled "Aatangvaadhi" meaning "terrorist"... how comes? ps. this is a legit query and not intended to spark any war - if someone knows the answer, please post but a benthi to all not to turn take this out of context
  12. (shhh... yeh it was but we cant talk about it because the senghs are trying to keep this covered up "for the good of the panth" )
  13. if u think its got something to do with organisations my friend, u r wrong. ive said my peace, benti parvaan kar lo ja naa, admin can close the thread now then.
  14. No 84 survivor jee, my tastes arent linked to organisations - sorry if u think otherwise. I loved SI:2 and 3 in particular. I love Jago Wale - old skoollllllllllll....!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry if u think otherwise. Rock on IP though.
  15. I had a text message asking me to attend a meeting to discuss the happenings of Sunday and to get "prepared" for this Sunday. The tone of the text was very "militant"...
  16. Beadbi - smoking, drinking, druggies, rubbish, people with uncovered heads, swearing, fighting, flirting, you got people dancing around playing bhangra tracks over Gurbani. You go and put the djs n that on a higher stage than the Guru who goes in a tent which has been hired for functions where theres been meat sharaab... but no, let the Gurdwaras and organisations carry this on because it makes em a bit of money, they get a chance to bum the politicians who come along asking to vote for them for power.............
  17. The point is, if i mentioned the organisations, no one would take on board what im sayin coz ull think its a thread just to put those organisations down. Those organisations do a fair share for Sikh youth whatever my opinion, so im not going to go down the road to cuss them. Admin, please dont let this turn into a slagging match about the orgs. Safe.
  18. I thought it was a bit dry personally. Punjabi rap made me crack up. "Im a son of a sardar" - jokaz. Son of a ... normally reminds you of a son of a <admin-profanity filter activated> so it was a bit of metaphor (is that the right word?) which didnt go to well. I did like one or two of the tracks. Cant remember the names. Satnam Waheguru was nice, have to admit. not the best installment but not that drastically bad either. Need to find some new singers now - Jago Wale have been on all 5 and best to get some singers a bit more fresh. Theres enough out there. Sorry if i put a damper on things. I like the designs of the cd's though. Good marketing.
  19. Following the recent fighting in Smethwick at a Mela where i also believe one was killed, WHY oh WHY are we still letting this continue? Handsworth Park Mela should have been STOPPED this weekend yet its going ahead. Not only is it going ahead, now there are gangs building up specifically to go and "sort it all out"... they arent going because of Guru Jee's presence, but are going because they want to be there when the trouble (if the trouble) starts. And our so-called Singhs (u know who u r) are backing them up having meetings etc beforehand. STOP THIS BEADBI. Take the example from Wolverhampton who used to have two Nagar Keertans every year - one from Sedgley Road Gurdwara and one from Council of Sikh Gurdwaraz whose included a mela on the same day! This year they merged the two so there is only one nagar keertan and a seperate mela two weeks later. I still dont agree that there should be a mela, but its still a lot better than having it on the same day and taking our Guru to a park just so people can prance around. We all know stuff will happen at Handsworth. Happens every year. Whats even worse is that u got bhangra groups and dj's at these melas like they will have at Handsworth and Wolvez. And people know this true yet the groups and organisations that should be stopping these and have influence wont stop this because they will get their publicity done via stalls or on stage. TALK ABOUT DOUBLE STANDARDS. And one more thing, before you lot come out with the typical line "what have u done?" - trust me, i done enough but these larger "panthic" (sarcasm) organisations are shadowing.
  20. Just to let all sangat know that the Vaisakhi Mela in Wolverhampton will be held at West Park on the 29th April 2007 There is no nagar keertan and there will be loads of stalls, dharmik entertainment, rides and so forth...
  21. The Wolverhampton Vaisakhi Nagar Keertan, organised by Gurdwaras around Wolverhampton, have their nagar keertan this weekend starting at GNG Sedgley St, and ending at Nanaksar Thath. Please come and participate seva. The organisers have stressed the importance of sevadars coming forward to help out and serve their Guru and please try and follow the Nagar Keertan from the start at Sedgley St until the end at Nanaksar Thath :umm: Hope to see you there.
  22. The actual new construction has been pending for MANY years. It was the original Gurdwara and divaan hall. But then for the gurdwara to obtain necessary funds etc, they built a Gurdwara community project at the side and have been saving since to get the cash to reconstruct the original foundations. All good though
