Well... i told you so. I contacted someone who i know who was involved in organising these protests asking them to hold fire until the inquiries have taken place and police can confirm for sure that the attack took place with witnesses and suspects. But the protests on that day still went on. No wonder Bollywood etc take the piss out of Sikhs for being "thick" nowadays. When self glorified Sikhs are going to humiliate us, we have no one to blame but ourselves! Yes, the lie that this one prat told was humiliating... but to add to the masaalaa of that is the humiliation that we caused ourselves with these protests. I would say to EVERYONE before going in with blazing fire... GET YOUR FACTS STRAIGHT FIRST.

VGKK VGKF I have some friends who, with Guru G's grace, are comin into Sikhi and their birthdays are approaching in January. What would be a good gift to get them? I am thinking of about £50 gifts for each of them max but I wish them to buy something that they would cherish forever and that would help them on their path... Any ideas? You have an opinion, which i respect. But I disagree with u. Sukha Singh has been of inspiration to many to start keeping kesh and following Guru G's path. I think its good that YOM has been someone from a different background. His story is inspirational. I love meeting him when i get the chance to do so. Tell me brother, have you met him?

I agree with Rupinder Singh. Also, the youths havent even been caught yet. For all we know, this could be one boys plan to cut his hair - like it was in Canada not too long ago. Not saying that he has done that, but you have to look at things from all angles. Say that it came out that it was just a plan... all this would make us look MEGA SUPA stupid. Some of you guys need to open your eyes a bit, seriously. Now, yes, there is an issue of people socialising at rehansbhais etc in the UK, dont doubt that for a fact. But theres two categories... 1. Theres people that go and matha tek, sit for 10 mins and come outside for the whole rehansbhai and talk, chat, laugh in the langar hall and just go for a doss. 2. There are those that go, sit down for MAJORITY of Rehansbhai and do go for a long break to have langar and catch up with friends. I dont see a problem with number two. I am no way at the level where i can sit cross legged at a rehansbhai for 10 hours straight. Thats me personally and i think theres a lot who are the same. So you need a break. Now, the issue of guys and girls mixing... heres two situations... 1. Guy and a girl text each other to go out of the Gurdwara around the corner to "meet up" and do some putthe kamm. 2. Guy and a girl sit in the view of sangat talking to each other. I know people who "got off" with each other at a Gurdwara in London last year at a jatha rehansbhai. I saw them with my own eyes as i was leaving the Gurdwara. Look at things realistically people and stop kidding yourselves. YOU CANT STOP GUYS AND GIRLS EXPERIMENTING WITH EMOTIONS. YOU CAN, HOWEVER, MONITOR AND CONTROL IT. Take an example of a guy and girl going out of Gurdwara to meet up. Why is that?? Because if they are seen inside Gurdwara talking to each other they will just be talked about and called "PO heads" and so forth. Ok, now you can say "dont bring that crap into the Gurdwaras full stop"... so ok, they meet up outside and do even worse stuff. if a guy and girl like each other, have honest intentions, then let them talk and get to know each other at a Gurdwara rather than have em meeting up outside and touching each other up and so forth. There are SOOO many Gursikhs finding it hard to get married due to issues like these. Its harder for GurSikhs to get wed compared to non-Gursikhs. My point is teenagers are going to go through different emotions. Their body is developing and their hormones are everywhere. Its difficult for us who are past that age to control our minds, why do we expect so much from teens that they should "control their minds"? We should stop doing chugli, nindiya of people talking in Gurdwaras and socialising together so that they stay in sight of sangat and are in the Gurdwara where, hopefully, they will have more respect towards each other.

Have to admit when allegations came out on Pathetic News' website, i wasnt surprised but it made me think - those criticising the baba now never once questionned the integrity of those documents.... Yet u come here and say "live and let live"? Baba Maan Singh was intouch with SO much sangat who all looked up to him. He drew in da crowds back in the day when he used to come to UK, only recently matched by Dadrian Wale. Its very safe to say that MOSTLY he done good for the panth. Brought people the right way. Anyone he says otherwise is a joka. Baba Maan Singh has allegations put against him... he is shunned by many after alleged "proof" is published... people ask for Akaal Takht Intervention... Akaal Takht intervene... They investigate (so they say)... Hukamnama is published from them... but people still not complaining! Even if the panj did sign the hukamnama... would all the critics still shut up? Im not a fan of Baba Maan Singh - probably far from it from my own experiences. So no one can say to me i am supporting him here. Im just being fair and honest from my point of view. This whole thing reminds me of a saying "Damned if u do.. and damned if u dont." No one can say nething against Baba Maan Singh now... Vedanti has taken all (if any) misdeeds of Baba Maan Singh on his own head.

Erm ... no. Lets see the signed hukamnama - the official word from the Akaal Takht please. Im not saying neone is lying here but if the Akaal Takht have ruled in favour of Baba Maan Singh, then they shouldnt be afraid to publicly announce that. And with the signed hukamnama it can eradicate any doubt in peoples mind
