  1. I agree. Who has the most to gain from this incident? None else but anti Sikh groups that have been campaigning to bring Sikh back into hindu fold. Note: I haven't put the blame on anybody yet.
  2. Waheguru Jika Khalsa, Waheguru Jiki Fateh Most if not all serial killers have high IQ's. Which brings to a question, have you taken the psycho test in the joke sections, please do, I await eagerly to know the result. :e:
  3. Waheguru Jika Khalsa, Waheguru Jiki Fateh Is one ten and the other tenth?
  4. Waheguru Jika Khalsa, Waheguru Jiki Fateh Actually it's 5 years after green card. Best route if you don't have anybody here is through education. PM me if you have additional question.s Gurfateh
  5. Waheguru Jika Khalsa, Waheguru Jiki Fateh I don't really care how many post or replies I've made....but could somebody tell me how can I get one of thoser single digit member number?
  6. Waheguru Jika Khalsa, Waheguru Jiki Fateh Sangatji...are these the same guys who do the bhangra dance during Vaisakhi Nagar Kirtan? What is the world coming too? These are the same guys I suppose that are trying to sepearate the teachings of Guru Nanak and Guru Gobind...and trying to redefine Sikhism to fit their own outlook. Shame Shame Shame.
  7. Waheguru Jika Khalsa, Waheguru Jiki Fateh Sikhs are encouraged to read other writings, but please do so after you've read and understand Guru Granth Sahib.
  8. Waheguru Jika Khalsa, Waheguru Jiki Fateh Phanji, when one door closes another door opens. Don't close your eyes yet... Gurfateh
  9. Waheguru Jika Khalsa, Waheguru Jiki Fateh Phanji kuttas, Now I understand what my mother meant when she used to tell me stop acting like a 5 year old .....I mean how often one is reminded of that by constructive points supported by such strong statements. I'm enlightened. Anyways...I will heed to veerji Kumi's request to not fight in his thread. http://www.takhatsrihazursahib.org/takhat.htm Gurfateh
  10. Wow, what a way to go out.....stick that in your pipe and smoke it...
  11. Waheguru Jika Khalsa, Waheguru Jiki Fateh Bhai Jagtar, Why is this topic in the Jokes section...this should be on the front page!!
  12. Waheguru Jika Khalsa, Waheguru Jiki Fateh Phanji Kurta...can you please respond to threads without hurling any insults? Not only to this thread but many other threads...we're all here to learn (especially myself) ... but if you have a problem with anger management and you're looking to pick a fight..you've met the right person. You said: I responded to Kumi's thread based on vague memory : . Sri Guru Maharaj Gobind Singh Ji said that if anybody build a monument on his name, that person shall not have a heirloom in this world....but Raja Ranjit Singh went ahead and build Takhat Sachkhand Sri Hazur Sahib in Nandeed in the early 1830's...and Dulip Singh was born in 1838, I don't have the exact dates but I guess it doesn't matter, Dulip Singh's children died childless and with them the family tree of Ranjit Singh. You said: I think you've taken the whole word out of context ...It was basically Dulip Singh's lack of knowledge in Sikhi that got him converted into Christianity...and you've called me a fool for my lack of knowledge in Sikh-history....thanks for proving my point.
  13. Waheguru Jika Khalsa, Waheguru Jiki Fateh To my best knowlege, Maharaja Ranjit Singh never had a heir. I thought Duleep Singh was a cousin/relative of some sort. Btw, why are we calling Duleep Singh "Raja"?? The dude went off to UK shaved his stuff off, married a white women and converted to christianity while the brits were running his country. He sound more of a fool to me. Gurfateh
  14. Waheguru Jika Khalsa, Waheguru Jiki Fateh Sorry to say this...this is old news and I don;t know why it is being brought up here now. Also I think there is some misleading by who ever ran this survey. There are alot of foreign labors in Punjab and most of them are males, and they were all included the survey, off-course the balance is going to shift dramatically towards the male population. I have known alot of people who have a lot of daughters, my grandfather himself had 5 daughters and he was married only once. This nonsense that they are trying to spread regarding Sikh's conducting female infanticide is ridiculous to me. Sure they are a few bunch that may do that, you find folks like this all over India, but I think we need to take a closer look at the survey for I believe it is skewed. just my 2 cents.
  15. Waheguru Jika Khalsa, Waheguru Jiki Fateh The Japanese samurai, at the turn of the 19th century, realized the onslaught of the industrialization and modern material culture into the country...but they failed to stop it. However, the country have succesfully blended the spirit of the old samurai within modern living. When they were fighting in WW2, you did not see a bunch of soldiers with samurai swords attacking their enemies (though most of the officers in the army were carrying samurai swords). To keep up to modern warfare, they knew they needed mordern weapons. This martial arts stuff like shastarvidiyia, ju jitsu etc, won't help you fight against bullets and tanks; but we need them, because it reminds us who we are, where came from and it gives us martial discipline. 16. Waheguru Jika Khalsa, Waheguru Jiki Fateh In response to comment made on Bhai Niddar Singh. Saw his website...and I'm very proud to see a Gursikh who keeps his physical self in condition (besides the spiritual aspect). Having said that, I do not think there is such thing as one guy out there who can beat anybody (and I didn't see Bhai Niddar Singh claiming to that). THe Sikh martial art if I'm not mistaken, is mostly with use of arms....the unarmed stances are more for battle scenarios when your weapon is broken etc. I don't think it matters if the Nihangs need to proof what they are capable of. When you're life is on the line everything changes...the tough will stay and fight and the cowardly will run away. Enough jabbering from me. Even Bruce Lee admitted to his weakness on ground combat. Bottom line, never put yourself in a position of vulnerability...if you don't know any stances, even this is fair. Gurfateh
  17. Happy Birthday veerji! :T: :HP: :HP: :T:
  18. Waheguru Jika Khlasa, Waheguru Jiki Fateh I presume in most of the battles, the Sikhs were greatlt outnumbered by the Mughals. Do anyone have the correct figures?
  19. Waheguru Jika Khalsa, Waheguru Jiki Fateh Add to what's mention so far in thread (excellent responses btw) IMO, the best for 1 to 1 is a grappling type martial arts, and JiuJitsu tops them. Even Bruce Lee admits to his weakness to fighting on the ground...which is where most actual street fights ends up. Gurfateh
  20. Waheguru Jika Khalsa, Waheguru Jiki Fateh Why are these children still orphaned? How do we (Sikhs in west) go about adopting these kids? Anyone can help? Gurfateh
  21. Waheguru Jika Khalsa, Waheguru Jiki Fateh Interesting insight....I read this somewhere...if you accept you can die at anytime, it will never take you by surprise. Gurfateh
  22. Waheguru Jika Khalsa, Waheguru Jiki Fateh Linky to a horse been beaten to death many times over
  23. Waheguru Jika Khalsa, Waheguru Jiki Fateh Is it grass-cutting season over there, because I see alot of trimmers @
