1. I get so HIGH TEMPERED whenever i talk about this topic... ill try to keep calm though....... First of all veerji i am guilty of this as well ... of the licence plates... Let me first say that i am FULLY AGAINST the caste systerm. I hate it whenever people have so much pride in themselves and whenever someone is about to get married and they are sikh they always ask for what caste they are .. even amritdharis !!!! I HATE IT !!! Ok.. there is a difference here though... Say if you have a last name of a caste ... but you dont believe in it (like you dont say im a jatt i am a this that all the time...) but you have (in this example) a licence plate.. it is ok ... cuz u have a licence plate not necessirily believe that u believe in caste BUT .. sadly .. 99% who do .. do believeit.. Anyway .. those are the two sides .. you can have a last name no problem .. (some say keep singh or khalsa as ur last name .. dat is fine too but u cant be dat strict on things .. last name is afterall just a name that your family goes by .. if you dont have ego in your caste than its all good..).. ... i have arguments wit my parents about caste all the time at least a couple of times in a month or so ... .. but anyway .. i got exams .. or i would love to spend more time on this and write up a whole essay on it .. haha.. 94589 Waheguru Jika Khalsa, Waheguru Jiki Fateh Bhaiji...certain small things may seem harmless but they can have greater effects than we're aware of. Take a child for example...they love candies, they could have all they want in the world if not for the restriction by their parents...because you know its not good for them...but they don't know that. When our Guru says caste's are obsoletes, they were trying to cure a disease in our society which is bigotry (perhaps more, but this comes on top IMO). Now for those who proudly display their caste name and identify themselves to a certain family group, I just have to say they have no right to complain on racism if that were to ever happened to them (which is increasingly there post 9/11). On another note....(making an unpopular statement here)....do we really want someone in Sikhi because they're getting some material benefit out of it...so we lost a bunch of family who're after material rewards rather than spiritual rewards...so what...I think this makes our Sikhi group stronger...true there is politics involved in it...but if they're leaving because of scuffle over positions, what will they do when their life is at stake.... Sikhi IMO will always be true in a minority number of followers....Forgive if I offended someone. Gurfateh
2. Waheguru Jika Khalsa, Waheguru Jiki Fateh I'll avoid describing what the word itself translates to...but upon hearing the name, the whole creation comes to mind.... Gurfateh
3. Waheguru Jika Khalsa, Waheguru Jiki Fateh Reading some of the responses here.... ok here is my thought, feel free to comment on it. Trying to find the limitation of an infinite is a futile process.....for example which is bigger infinite^2 or infinte^3 etc....we can't answer that. Now take two curves that approaches infinite at a point, but one gets there faster than the other, which is has a higher value at that point etc (I crossed my eyes thinking about this )...so in essence as its written in Gurbani, only God knows his limitations.
4. Can God create a rock so heavy that he himself can't lift it.... Waheguru Jika Khalsa, Waheguru Jiki Fateh
5. AAAHHHHHHHHHH ....I miss those college days of staying awake late nights cramming for exams and beating project deadlines. Those were the fun days...
6. How true...always stay in Chardi Kala :TH:
7. Waheguru Jika Khalsa, Waheguru Jiki Fateh, Went to Vaisakhi celebration at a Gurdwara yesterday and saw a bunch or cars with caste nname plates. Not good...... :ysad:
8. Sat Sri Akal, This is also what I know from a Gurdwara lecture along time ago. In fact, the lecturer added that the Panj-Pyare's head were stitched onto the other Pyare's body, hence each one of them were with a new body. Gurfateh
9. Christianity is Krishnamurthy (sp?) Ask any hindu.
10. Waheguru Jika Khalsa, Waheguru Jiki Fateh No one that I know has got this right -- including myself :T: A woman, while at the funeral of her own mother, met this guy whom she did not know. She thought this guy was amazing, so much her dream guy she believed him to be just that! She fell in love with him right there, but never asked for his number and could not find him. A few days later she killed her sister. Question: What is her motive in killing her sister? (Give this some thought before you answer). SCROLL DOWN. Answer: She was hoping that the guy would appear at the funeral again. If you answered this correctly, you think like a psychopath. This was a test by a famous American psychologist used to test if one has the same mentality as a killer. Many arrested serial killers took part in the test and answered the question correctly. If you didn't answer the question correctly good for you. If you got the answer correct, please let me know so I can take you off of my e-mail list, unless that will tick you off, then I'll just be extra nice to you from now on. Be sure to share the test! You may have killers on your list also.

13. I might have to "take you out" now, so you don't beat me to it! 93063 Waheguru Jika Khalsa, Waheguru Jiki Fateh You can try, but I'm up to padding my stats with a "Good stuff" " :TH: " and " " to every post in here. <_<
14. Waheguru Jika Khalsa, Waheguru Jiki Fateh, Yes, female infanticide is still happening today. But how long has these practises been there...long before Sikhi was there. Our Gurus put a stop to this but some people are still into it. Lohri is not a celebration originating from Sikhism....some of our people are still backwards that they still practise these old rituals that are supposed to have become obsolete for Sikhs. So pls pheji, the title should be "What Rights does an Indian Women have today?". I cannot stand the word Sikh being used so frequently with negative events when the Sikh religion put the end to these things in the first place. Do we ever hear about Christians having abortions? We shouldn't tie an event to a Religion that prohibits it in the first place. Waheguru Jika Khalsa, Waheguru Jiki Fateh
15. Waheguru Jika Khalsa, Waheguru Jiki Fateh I'm on my way too. :TH:
16. I have alot of respect for this Pope just for being the first to apologize to the Jews and Moslems for atrocities commited unto them by the Christians hundreds and thousands of years ago. It was not a popular act within the Church communities but the Pope went ahead and did that regardless. May God bless his Soul.
17. Hi Hello For a comparison to other religion, click on this link. Link to Sikhs.org website Hope this helps. With regards,
18. Waheguru Jika Khalsa Waheguru Jiki Fateh A short example: A good friend of mine keeps his hair and beard and wears a turban, eventhough his family use to cut his hair when he was a child. I think one should not forsaken his/her relationship to Waheguru based on lack of faith in others surrounding him/her. Gurfateh
19. Waheguru Jika Khalsa Waheguru Jiki Fateh Sorry if this has been posted before. A complete report by ENSAAF that examines Sikhs massacres in Delhi is available here: Link to ENSAAF Website Gurfateh,
