I have 2 questions if you can possibly ask: As a family man/woman it can be a struggle to bring up kids, take care of family and household and do anymore than 7 baniaa (even those are sometimes done while cleaning/running around). This can leave some guilt as in is one wasting his/her time stuck in these worldly tangles. I understand one can’t just walk away but some words from a mahapursh of comfort (hopefully) that this way of life will be parvaan will be great as well as their views on how someone can do more while stuck in peak of family life i.e. young children, old parents full time jobs Looking at the current world state for example, economy, on going droughts and wars where is kaljug headed? I know I have heard of other sants saying things don’t look too good and that seems to be coming true. Any views on this will be interesting Thankyou WJKK WJKF

one idea, get software like opendns, block all access to internet, then just allow exception for website u need access to to submit work, get friend/sibling/parent to manage password and make sure they dont tell it to you. guess will need to be someone nearby so they can easily come to your PC and enable/disable opendns, or you could give them access remotely via Logmein. this may be a way forward

penjee, sorry to hear about your problem. try doign regular seva i.e. joreh seva, like hear stories of singhs wanting beard adn did joreh seva and rubbed dust onf ace and gradually beard came. do some jaap too, same place, same time, with joot etc for about 1 hour each day for 2 odd months and ask maharaaj for help. he will find a way to help you.

pajee why not just go and visit gurdwareh while you there and listen to daily 'normal' diwan

some somlians etc also wear kind of keski thing too. also maybe while wearing dastaar you should also wear traditional clothes otherwise u may get mistaken with your western clothes.

your right love is the key...but maybe you need to look inwards, if you cant see love at the gurdwara then maybe your not looking with love filled eyes (the half empty half filled cup scenario) and if you are differentiating faiths i.e. Christianity then are u seeing love in all or are u trying to promote a certain 'faith' and playing the number/convert game...like u said easier said than done hey any person I have met who is somewhat more loving than the average person does not in my experiences see negativity in anything (i.e. always in chardi kala)

I think balance is the key thing, just like with anything in Sikhi. Predictions can be true and have proven to be so in many cases not just by gursikhs but by people of many other faiths and some of no faith but just have natural ability to sense things. Now the issue is of us getting obsessed with these, that is when it becomes a problem, but it also becomes a problem when we try to totally ignore them and don’t accept them at all. Just like ghosts etc, u get extremes both sides, some ppl totally saying they don’t exist and other who’s lives revolve around spirits etc i.e. black magic, exorcisms etc I think one should balance them out, gurus did say what will happen in future times and things have happened to that effect whether that be a bachan or prediction same as many saints I am sure…ie did baba Buddha jee nto say to mata ganga jee your son will crush heads of the moguls etc….well it happened so what will say to that, its all wrong? Maharaja tells us in gurbani mahaparloh comes and destroys earth and then a new jug starts..is that a prediction and is it wrong then? So it is wrong for us to totally say they are wrong and in the same way it’s wrong to obsess and stop living normal life….now I guess this has come about from previous posts of predictions for coming future….best thing is to not do too much thinking and concentrate on gurbani as ultimately unless one has been enlightened we don’t know the truth but can only go on what enlightened souls tell us.
