  1. The Universe is so amazing. All those secrets out there. Danger and beauty. Death and rebirth. God really is amazing. Geminid Meteor shower I really do recommend going out there with a telescope or a pair of binoculars and looking at the night sky. It is so awesome! Try it. A bigger meteor the size of half a football pitch passed Earth yesterday. It passed closer than our furthest satellite. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-21442863
  2. Gold makes the gurdwara look nice, a home fit for a king. But I don't think milk does anything. No magic cleaning powers. Milk is for drinking, not washing. -.-
  3. If you feel prepared and know you can live your life as an amritdhari Sikh then you should take amrit. Vaisakhi coming up soon, be the perfect time to take amrit. :D You can gain knowledge of Sikh history and bani after you take amrit. I'd say go for it as long as you know the rehit and can keep it.
  4. Isn't it a bit of a waste though? That milk could be given to poor people who are starving. I think guru sahib would prefer that rather than people using it to clean him.
  5. But what if the person regretted what they did? And suffered from the guilt everyday. Would they still have to work off the paap?
  6. The value of education and knowledge has been lost. People do not get educated or gain knowledge just for the sake of knowing it now. No, we do it for money. Money comes first. Even my parents are pushing me down this root of money, they say they want me to do what I want. Yet my parents worry that I will not make enough money to support myself (I want to be an astro-physicist).They want me to go into medicine, not to help others but because it has a lot of status and money. We are raising generations that look for the money in things. There is no be what you want to be and just be you.The propagation of deceptions is so deeply rooted that it becomes difficult to even know what it is to live free and just be. Its sad to see my parents and others in boring dead end jobs. My dad comes home complaining about work. But what choice does he have? He has a family to support just as millions of other people do. But the video is based on an ideal world. Where money isn't an object. Where we could live free. There isn't a happy world like that. The truth is we have to do things we don't want to do. Our parents and grandparents left their homes in search of a better life somewhere else, doing things they didn't want to do. But they had to. Because money is what makes the world go round.
  7. But the person has repented. Would you still give them a death sentance even if they truely regretted what they had done? Maybe the guilt they would live with for the rest of their lives would be a bigger punishment.
  8. What would be the punishment for the massacre of millions?
  9. I started playing Skyrim (a game for those of you who don't know) again, due to the dlc (new downloadable content) coming out. Anyway, there is a character in the game called Paarthurnax. He is a dragon. The thing is he used to be the right hand (or wing because they're dragons XD) of an evil dragon who committed terrible atrocities against mankind. I had the option to kill Paarthurnax because of what he had done. The thing is he has changed, he wants to help people. The game got me thinking if it was an evil human from history, like Hitler, if Hitler changed became good in a sense and helped people would you still kill him for what he had done or would you leave him? Does the bad still remain? Or is it wiped out by the good?
  10. Tibet, china, azerbaijan. Some claim that Guru Nanak Ji came to Egypt, Africa and maybe even Greece. People are looking for these places.
  11. LOOLLOLOLOLOLOLOL. I really do need to comb my beard, its growing in weird directions. The hairs are going backwards for some reason.......
  12. Gol pagh. OR when I am forced to I wear one like this: NOTE: Beard not to scale. I am from England.
  13. Thanks bro, I just needed to know what they were called. But those videos seem fine. :D
  14. I am in the RAF cadets. I have a uniform and I am now required to wear a badge on my turban. For parades and marches I will need a smart looking pagh. What style of pagh should I tie? I want a small one.
  15. Yes I am comapring them. Problem koi? Both Baba Deep Singh and Sant Jarnail Singh protected darbar Sahib and stood up against a tyranical government. The pictures, I don't know, I've never seen people hanging photos together like that. And the room thing, I don't know about that either, seems a bit wierd though, the akaal takht building we have now isn't the building Guru Hargobind made. The Akaal takh then was a tall thing. Something like this? There is no "room" to go into.
  16. Exactly. You described sant Bhindranwale perfectly. Many thousands of young Sikhs took amrit and became guru wale Singh. Even today Sant bhindranwale inspires thousands. But what was Guru Hargobinds message. Miri Piri. Sant siphai. No one will let you silently sit and do bhagati. No, you have to protect yourself. Look what happened to Buddhists. Once India's number one religion, now look at it. Wiped out.
  17. Actually the Singhs tried to get people out of the Darbar Sahib complex. It was the Goverment that didn't allow it. The pilgrims outside said they never heard anything that said "get out". If the government loved the pilgrims so much they wouldn't go around raping them, lining old men up and shooting them in the back. They wouldn't blow babies up with grenades. They wouldn't have smoked in the parkarma. They wanted to maximise casulties. They attacked on a religious day. Why not some other day? Or Mr. Karan, why not just snipe Sant Bhindranwale from the rooftops? He spent loads of time on rooftops. Also Sant JI was arrested by the police, he was released becuase they found NO EVIDENCE. Watch this Lt. Gen Sinha. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Idw7m7xatvU http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WnB9pp7Ys7k Ok..... The thing is Sant Ji helped many Hindu families I'll find the speech later. The Darbar sahib was attacked many times by people who wanted to finish Sikhs. Singhs always protected it. Using your view Baba Deep Singh Ji is a terrorist too, he used weapons and faught in the darbaar sahib. Joyce pettigrew says the attack was 'not to eliminate a political figure or a political movement but to suppress the culture of a people, to attack their heart, to strike a blow at their spirit and self-confidence. The army . . . went berserk and killed every Sikh man, woman and child who could be found inside the temple complex'. 'For five days the Panjab has been cut off from the rest of the world. There is a 24-hour curfew. All telephone and telex lines are cut. No foreigners are permitted . . . all journalists were expelled. There are no newspapers, no trains, no buses . . . Orders to shoot on site, were widely carried out. The whole of Panjab with its 5,000 villages and 50 major cities, was tuned into a concentration camp.'
  18. Can we trust those people who marched into gurdware, used tanks and bombs, fear and intimidation, rape and murder, to silence a nation? Can we trust those that killed 250,000 young men just because they were Sikh? Can we trust people who allowed mobs to set fire to Sikhs for three days? I don't think YOU can see what is right and wrong. Is stealing a peoples water, trying to change their history and refusing to give them rights fair? I don't think raping Sikh girls and killing young boys is right. Do you? Sant Ji did nothing wrong other than trying to gain right for the people of Punjab, which includes Sikhs, Muslims, Hindus. Please research the Anandpur resolution, this is what Sant Ji fought for, not Khalistan. If he was such a terrorist, then Hindu people wouldn't go to him asking for help. Such a terrorist right? Helping non-Sikhs. It seems that you were brainwashed by Indian media and the Indian government. Btw, how can you give a gun to some one who isn't born yet? What India did. They refuse to apolgise or even acknowledge: Just one of the thousands of cases.
  19. Microwaving food certainly does get rid of many nutrients and vitamins in the food, much more than traditional methods with fire. Research has been done on microwve safety, some have found it is dangerous other haven't. Research done by two scientists (Blanch and Hertal *I think it was these lot*) found that haemogloin levels dropped they said microwaves can change compounds and this can cause your immune system to suffer. But don't worry about that, other researchers have found nothing dangerous about microwaves. Bottom line is that you should limit microwave cooking, traditonal food cooking methods are much tastier and nutritional+we've been using fire since like for ever and cooking with fire hasn't caused cancer.
