  1. Thanks guys. I've got 2weeks off now for Christmas so I can stay home and tie a keski most days. No pressure on ears and it might heal. If not i'll go to the doctors.
  2. You can't justify this. Its wrong like this 112 man is old enough to be her grandad. great great grandad. Just something to think about in Twilight Edward is like 100years old while Bella is 17. Thats just wrong.
  3. Well I tie first larh over ears (not covered) then a larh on top. I don't even mind the pain, I don't even notice it at times (if the lesson I'm in is fun). But the pain does come back at time and I get my baaj (silai) (metal pencil) out to push the larh further away. The thing is my ears look messed. Theres like really big black bits on my ears. I only tie a keski over my ears when I'm at home. I don't think I can uncover my ears in school. It looks wierd, feels loose and I have giant black scabs on my ears. Is there anyway I can get rid of the black marks? All my paghs are mal mal or soft cotton like material.
  4. I've had this problem for a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time. the pagh is cutting into the ears and it really hurts sometimes. I pulled off a scab on one ear and I think its healing but it hurts a lot. Any remedies or something which can stop my ear being p0wned by my pagh. Thanks.
  5. Don't give up on your A levels. Push yourself. Around 2.5 million 16-24 year olds are unemployed. Its hard to get jobs without grades. Even cleaners need to have good grades these days! If you want a good life for your parents and yourself do well at school. You must have been on work experience. I found mine really boring, doing the same routine crappy jobs every day. If Sikhi is your biggest interest do a job where Sikhi can play a large role. Maybe go to the gurdwara, help the elderly sangat, talk to them. This is good experience. Keep yourself occupied rather than bumming around all day. I think Sikhi is really pushing me to do well, motivating me. I want to go into medicine, its my aim to go to Punjab and other impoverished countries and set up medical camps etc there. Perhaps, you could do something like this. Your grades are good, carry on.
  6. wow.. That left me speechless. So glad you posted that.

Didn't Guru Gobind Singh say anyone who wears a hat will die a leper. hoie isK isr topI DrY ] swq jnm kuStI huie mrY ] hoe sikh sir ttopee dhharai || saath janam kushattee hue marai || He who as a Sikh places a hat on their head; will be reborn seven times as a leper. I mean a seli topi thing is a hat.

Muslims wear turbans in arab countries?
  10. what the hell is up with bollywoods obsession of making movies with sikhs in them? i doubt this movie will be good, they'll probably put in sterotypes (sikhs are jokes/stupid).
  11. Thanks guys for reminding me to look at which way my moustache is growing. Middle hairs are growing downwards while the hairs on the sides are growing to the sides. Moustache like this would be pretty good. One like this will also look good.

    Boxing

I wear a scrum cap when playing rugby and no one has ever said it is wrong. Just wear a small patka or keski underneath.
  13. Its awesome lil bro how you keep rehit, way better than me :D. If you feel you can do it, then amrit chakla. However, you still have lots of time to mature. Who knows 2 years down the road you may be a totally different person. This is a very serious, important thing, if you are 100% sure you can do it, then take amrit. I still think you should practise a bit longer, prove to your parents you can do it, and then take amrit. If Guru ji wants you to take amrit, it will happen. And i agree with Mehtab Singh. TELL YOUR PARENTS! Don't hide such a big thing.
  14. why not tie a small patka or keski and wear the hat on top? is there anything wrong with doing that?
  15. just be careful of random bhaiyeh (them other indians) they may try to steal from you (happens on trains). and only eat at gurdware langar is the best. didnt get ill at all, tasted awesome too. and you can pick kelas bananas off trees lolol
  16. Well we took our van straight up to Patna sahib after staying at hazoor sahib. I guess you could take a flight or train to patna and then make a trip back into the punjab.
  17. If time doesn't matter, I suggest taking a van (take all your relatives with you). It takes like 5-7days (I think) but this trip was one of the best i've ever had. The scenery, meeting people, going to other gurdware along the way you probably would never have went to. Just meeting general Sikh sangat along the way is awesome. If you want to get there quick take a train.
  18. zest. Do both to be sure.
  19. TV stations cost more to run. Besides why complain about the money? Sikh Channel has done so much, showed us whats happening in India, news, discussions...
