  2. Hope waheguru bless's you to keep your kesh. Remember your guru ji's son, your his lion brother nothing can defeat you when your with waheguru (bani). Im sure once you find your dignity & self-respect (Anakh) things will go/seem alot better. Always keep this in mind "I would rather live like a lion/tiger for 1 day, rather than a sheep for 100's of days". The issue of Khalistan is hot topic, youth in india may not think a need for Khalistan but youth in other countries such as canada and UK do. Lets not get side-tracked. And remember what happened yesterday, makes today. I wish I was there with you brother so I could help you out. Take it from me things get alot worse before they get better. I will do Ardas for you. Just hope Guru Ji gives you enough strength to grow your hair again. :TH:

  15. Yep Ive seen the pics just want to say enough love and respect and big up to the sevadars/sevadar at Ekta One keep doing the seva you already are. Top Dogg :e: I think the march was excellent, alot of the non - Sikh public that day took alot of interest of what was going and once explained to why this march/rememberance was taking place they were taken back :TH: . The turn out was very low compared to last year because I think this was partly down to the, the lasts years 1984 March being the 20th Anniversary, I probs wrong but hey. Just a few short questions I wanted to ask the sangat: How many of you where there, how many people from your area/gurudwara (What area are you from)? Also is there anyone on this forum who represents Sikh Fed...Becuase last year it seemed to be organised alot better and that open roof london double decker :TH: with that massive 1984 (Sikh fed poster) made a massive impact where was is this year?
  16. Right people, who have to say the most random-est stuff in one/two lines. Has to be really random, I just want to see what people come up with.
  17. You people are crazy, get out and play a game of hop skotch
  18. Singh your probably going to disagree. But I love my Sikhi and Punjabi Culture (positive sides). What you got to remember is Bhangra has changed dramatically over the past decade or so due to western inlfuences. I might only be 16 now yeah but I listen to a very wide variety of music, I have been listening to Bhangra since I was a kid, I still to this day listen to old skool Bhangra from the likes of Yamla Jatt, Kuldeep Manak , Surinder Shinda just to name a few. You got to understand most of the youth who listen to Bhangra dont even know what the tracks are really on about, I agree that some Bhangra tracks bring lust and crap. But look at tracks that talk about the likes of "Udham Singh" and "Bhagat Singh" I find them really inspiring. And yes doing Bhangra does keep you very fit, in fact. Im sorry to say becuase I love the Punjabi culture Bhangra just happens to flow through my blood, but I do understand when you say bhangra promotes alcholism which leads to in some cases fighting. However you got to understand the lurics where written back in the days, it dont promote caste (I understand how it can be misinterpreted to inc caste) but it just talks about Jatts etc going around their normal life, like when I was in Punjab my cousins used to do kethi da kaam (farming work) and me used to help. They used to work from 5 am - 9 pm and come home a have a peg sheg (few glasses or "session") becuase of thier hard days work I didnt because I dont drink, but hey its up to them. I listen to alot of other music that has been polluted the same way Bhangra has, due to western inlfuence just a quick example the likes of Bob Marley, Gregory Isaacs (just to name a few) wrote and sang hardcore old skool raga music (Reggae) about normal day lifes and struggles that faced them. But nowdays its been polluted and filled with lust and crap. Hope I aint gone of the point, sorry if I have offended anyone didn't mean to at all. (O Yeah, how many of you lot was at the 1984 Hyde Park march today, hope I saw you there :T: ) Wjkk Wjkf
  19. Hope you have a wicked b'day Singh, I would of given you a scientific calculator for your b'day but I only got one of those GCSE casio ones. why the hell did I say that. Anways beside that stupid point. May Waheguru bless you, and keep you in chardi kala

  21. AKAAAAAAAAAAAL, SAT SRI AKAAAAAAAAL. Bole So Nihal, Sat Sri Akaal Then you got all the slow Singhs with hearing problems who do it like 30 secs later at the end of ardasss echo-ing effect ends up being like 4 Jakareh 5 if ur lucky and one really long one which goes for ages and singhs voice is about to go. :T:
  22. Hello sis, I used to do Gatka like when I was 12/13+, about 2 years back in Slough. , But I stopped and do other things. There is an akhara in Slough, definately one/two in southall. I dont know if they one in my ends, slough still runs. I will find out for you asap, and p.m you the appropriate details. :TH:
  23. Trust me aunties are Once I happened to be skiving and went Gurudwara remembered it was a cousins Akhand Path went to eat langar LUCKILY cousins dad hadnt seen me in ages and just smiled and served me then....BANG, its like jaws corner of my eye I see one aunty who knows me that I was like NOOOOO, so I tried to walk off bare quick somehow even with her bent knees and sota she caught me and said the usual. Then she like hmmmm gehyaran bajeya tu kee etha karda (its eleven am wat u doing here) I was like I got early break so I came to gurudwara she like NO dont lie. I was like YES i have, she okay koi nai meh teri mum nou puchogai i was like NO NO NO, okay I just skived skool cos of c/w she like acha I was like yes. I thought I had been let of the hook instead she bust out with: Translated You better tell your mum or I will. I was like awwww wat a sly tactic for frail aunty. Damn I remember that day. Ended up telling my mum, aunty d/w one time when I get my car and lience I will drive in to those massive puddles so all the pani all over you. :T:
  24. In my book theres a solution for everything. If people still act mean then just laugh in there faces its rude or just listen to them do one of the following: Cut thier car's brake fluid Tell the tax-man about how cash in hand jobs they working Or just grin. Its good to smile, Releases stress and exercises the muscles in the mouth. But one thing, just remember AUNTIES (50+ pension crew) are more dangerous than double barrel shot guns.
  25. I used to lie bare, becuase I was into some real bad stuff. I dont know just used to get a kick out of doing stupid things (illegal springs to mind), as Sikh Supreme said to cover one lie you would have to tell another, tell another and so on. I used to deal with them, hmmm well - Take them in my stride so to say. lol Get into more trouble etc. Then there was phase where I became a good boy, young blood, now Im all good apprantly. Dealing with lies is different, I just used to use physical means to overcome them, or just tell the whole truth and then wait for everyone to walk out the room and not chat to me for days on end.
