I already know what u r saying... what i need to know is the meaning of word Aarta.. and what i have heard is tht its not same as aarti and has a totally different meaning...

WJKK WJKF I was reading this shabad and tried to lookup the meaning but it shows different meaning on sikhitothemax and sateek by Prof Sahib Singh.. here is the meaning from sikhitothemax.. gopwl qyrw Awrqw ] gopaal thaeraa aarathaa || O Lord of the world, this is Your lamp-lit worship service. in the shabad above aarta is given the same meaning as aarti.. where as prof sahib singh explains this as .. Aarta means Mangta ( lodvandh).. if this is the correct meaning thn how come this is in the aarti section of Sundar Gutka that I have.. bhul chuk muaph..

ofcourse here it is the 2nd one.. as rara has a sihari... but why is it written as har in english shouldn't it be hari... i have observed at so many places that sihari and the laan on the last letter of the word are not read and that alters the meaning a lot... :umm:
