The Dalits and Sikhs have been direct victims of Gandhi's racial and ethnic politics. Jinnah therefore had to restore to the demand of Pakistan. A mere acceptance by Gandhi of the Muslim demand would have prevented millions of people from massacres and uprooting. This Mahatma could have considered the value of humans more than a demand raised by Jinnah but alas, he cared less about Punjab for Sikhs over having a Hindu dominated India and Hindu dominated Indian parliament.
