WAHEGURUJIKAKHALSAWAHEGURUJIKIFATEH Have you just recently began wearing a Kirpan? I'm asking this because you stated that in the last few weeks you have been having problems. And I'm surprised the police told you to conceal it, because then it is considred a 'concealed weapon'. From what i heard, in Canada we are supposed to wear our Kirpans so that they are visible (i know it sounds weird). Anothere thing Kumi Singh...the way this 'monty' began cussing the cops...thats not right. We need to educate people, not give them attitude. To wear the Kirpan we must act loving to people, and educate them about our values, not going crazy on them, because i don't think their intentions are bad. I have heard of kids in Canada who wear the Kirpan and act like a bunch of gangsters, and this is what leads to people trying to ban it. If we walked around with nimarta (humbleness) and love is just radiating from us, i don't think people will make a big deal. (i'm not saying anything directly to you Kumi Singh)...but to all the youth in general. We must act like Singhs/Singhnis...because we must remember one thing...WE ARE NOT BLACK!!! what do i mean?...we don't need to go around acting like thugs, and talking like thugs, and calling each other ni**ers. (i'm not saying all black people do this in any way) I see so many young Khalsas swearing and acting all hard, when we are actually supposed to be full of love and Nimarta. Just a humble benti.

WAHEGURUJIKAKHALSAWAHEGURUJIKIFATEH As you may know, in May of 2004, 3 Gursikhs left their bodies as a result of a car accident...Bibi Rena Kaur Ji, Bhai Charanjit Singh Ji, and Bhai Parminder Singh Ji.... If you haven't heard Bhai Sahib's Katha, here's a link to some English kathas he has done, as well as Katha of some other Gursikhs... listen to "Guru Gobind Singh Ji" -- # 10 under 'General Katha'...He talks about the greatness of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, and in the last couple of minutes (starting at about 52 minutes into the Katha), Bhai Sahib comes into Bir-rus when talking about those who don't take Amrit, drink liquor and cut hair etc...he says "I feel sorry for you" etc etc...very powerful the way he says it, and he explains why he feels sorry for them as well! (just listen for yourself---i was there live when he did this Katha, and i was shocked at the statement, but then he explained why,,,and everyone was blown away!!!) Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh I think this is disgusting...A Dastar is our crown, not some fashion statement. If they didn't wear the Khandas, i probably wouldn't be as mad (but still not happy)...look at the second picture, she is wearing the Khanda UPSIDE DOWN...and the clothing she is wearing is disgusting...not to mention the 'facepaint'. i think this makes Sikhs look bad. Although these people did horrible things, we need to give Sikhism a positive image. This will make the average person, who doesn't know about who these people are, think of Sikhs as being violent. Just my views.

WAHEGURU JI KHALSA WAHEGURU JI KI FATEH This is a HUGE smagam that happens every year at Khalsa School in Surrey, and has Sangat coming from all over the world. There are 2 Rainsbaes during the smagam...the 1st one at Dasmesh Darbar Surrey on may 14th, and the 2nd is the may 21st Ransbhai at Khalsa School...there is also Amritvela Programs everyday, and Kirtan Darbars every night at Khalsa School during the whole Smagam. I am not sure that what i have posted is 100% correct...if anyone knows of additional info, or any mistakes..please post... PS- every year this Smagam is AWESOME!!! can't wait!

WAHEGURUJIKAKHALSAWAHEGURUJIKIFATEH I think that the art that was used is getting lost. It was Shastar Vidiya which Guru Ji taught us and blessed us with....Gatka is not even an art, its the name of the soti (stick) that we typically use in fights. (the one with the handle, about 3 feet long). I think over time we just started calling it 'gatka'... Another thing is...these days we don't focus much on hand to hand combat, and that is extremely important...there have been Sakhis i've read in which Guru Gobind Singh Ji had 'silenced' people, by punching them out. ( i think one of them was when Guru Ji left Chamkaur Sahib, and some people saw him and began yelling to get the attention of the army to arrest him)... we should know how to fight (punching, moving, kicking, blocking etc)...because if someone starts fighting with you, and that person doesn't have any weapons...i wouldn't pull out my Kirpan and stab him...i'd fight him with fists. But these days there is no parchar on this kind of stuff...just wear a Kirpan, and you're set! ...of course we can't do anything without Guru Gobind Singh Ji's Kirpa. WAHEGURUJIKAKHALSAWAHEGURUJIKIFATEH what helped me was to listen to a recording over and over again...even just have it playing in the background while you are doing something...and then start trying to follow along with it... also...if you use the same Gutka Sahib everyday, try to 'take a mental picture' of the page...like see it in your head...like picture where the pauri starts on the page, and then where the next one begins (i've probably confused you)...sorry... also memorize certain similar pauris, and which order they go in (ex--Asunk Jup, Asunk Pao is first...then Asank Moorakh Und Koar is next...and then Asank Nav Asunk Tav is last)..basically memorize the order... and course....the best way to memorize gurbani...DO ARDAS AND ASK GURU JI TO DO IT FOR YOU!!!
