  1. I dont like the fact that the khanda has been reduced to a fashion symbol to many so called sikh youth who dont know the meanion of or respect its significance within the sikh faith.
  2. Gods qualities are INFINITE may the sangat please refer to 'sikhi' as Sikhi, not sikhism. cheers
  3. "gayness" was here before man, study animals especialy mamals in the wild youl see that they also partake in homosexual relationships and mating. Megas Alexandros the king of macedon inavaded punjab and his reighn stoped ther thanks to the maghda empire. depending under what context he wanted to take amrit if he was lookin for amrit to initiate himself into khalsa and to salvage himself spiritualy seems very unlikley, partly due to the fact sikhi had yet to arrive. although if he wanted to look for spiritual salvation in any form thats a good posibility, we have to rmemebrt the teachings of sikhi have always been here, although not fully realised until the coming of sikhi.
  4. Thanks for the post. One thing I realized through the years of reading and challenging on occasion, 'nitpicks', so called common contradictions and general mis truths about the Sikh faith written by Muslim 'fanatics' is that their queries and points are all either grossly misinterpreting, taking out of context or entirely fabricating sikh ideology and holy script versus! Its clear that this type propaganda is aimed at the ones who are ignorant about sikhi. I take consolation in the fact that all souls must repay the sins they've acquired through out their lives.
  5. What made you think that? if you don't mind me asking.
  6. It may be sad, but they did die as gursikhs. it was their time to go. dont be sad. its just gods will.
  7. As for Bush's stance on mesapotamia, well thats down to Oil and the End timers
  8. same Ole' Ghundh-Mundh being Re-used and peddeled by the Indian media. those who arnt gullable by nature will take this story with a pinch of salt. I like the fact they gave the names of the websites i hope people of all creeds wether indian or not visit the sites. thank you Yahoo india..
  9. Heard it all before... for over a Thousand years...
  10. a sikh dosent stay asleep when the beadbi is being commited like i said before there are very few actual sikhs in number. but then i gues its always been like that.
  11. Forget the 4Bs, sikhi survival in the sub-indian continent depends on the 2Bs... thats BANI & BANA thats all sikhs need
  12. religious plces of worship should never be used as the set of any fictional film let alone the set of 'the retarded art of bollywood'. it's a shame the panth and sikhs in general are so few in number, so much so infact ther'es a couple of nonsikhs running the commitees. it dosent take a genius to realise where these commitee-wale priorities lie.
  13. Does it reali matter. i doubt anyone in lebanon knows what a singh of the khalsa actualy is. but then again i may be mistaken. the lebanese have got more serious things to worry baout.
  14. Teaching of Gurbani and meanings of rehit is essential foryouth. its essential in oreder to be s sikh. ive noticed something on that forum i person stated that sikh dont even know what they believe in so and so, which to some extent, is true because of the lack of gurbani knowledge. apart from that they have seriously warped understanding of sikhi. and some can't even comprahend its teachings thus they may feel frustrated.
  15. I understand your point.i remember not so long ago my RE lessons and let me assure you RE lessons in the UK, pupils learn next to nothing about sikhi. my parents didnt know much about sikh history but they taught me 2 do nitnem, it got the 'ball rolling' so to speak. after reaping the rewards of reciting nitnem and having personal experiences, only then i started to take alot my interest in sikhi and sikh history. Guidance initialy comes from the parents. its crucial for the parents to teach their kids sikhi.
  16. I see "sikh" boys go out with gals from other ethnic backgrounds all the time. you dont get a big hoo-haa when that happens though. the problem lies at home. how many of todays "sikh" parents teach their kids about sikh, gurbani and rehit? in my view only a minority. what i hear time and time again was re itterated in another post about sikh parents discouraging their kids from following the path of sikhi most likley due to their own lack of knowledge regarding sikhi and plain attachment to the 5 vices, and people wonder why the sikh youth are so misguided
  17. And people wonder why alot of sikh youth are so misguided.
  18. Now Now boiz lets not get angry. ok? we dont wana hi-jack the thread now do we.
  19. We must wait untill this specific story has been put up ni full. it's to soon to judge the situation at this time. yeah what do singhs do on their side to stop this from happining. but more importantly, what do sikh parents do to stop their children from dating before marrige, geting all stary- eyed, love struck and converting to the religion of their partner? Not much, maybe a disownment or some backwards reaction like that. How many sikh punjabi parents sit down with their children at a young age and teach them gurbani? Does anyone think any of this crap you Hear ever would of happened if sikh youth where actualy taught sikhi? and not encouraged to follow backwards BS punjabi culture. singhs not being able to do anything about their fellow sisters being wooed away? well how are singhs to know when the parents would probably put a lid on it all and not tell a single soul outside of family for fear of shame being braught upon them. same goes for muslim families when one of their kids does a runner. you hear this crap all the time. it takes someone to be shot for the whole story to be unveiled. True sikhs are a minority among their community.
  20. Bani & Bana (Gurbani & Rehit) makes a true sikh Without one or the other your not a true sikh.
  21. maybe, but at the end of the day, the indian goverment intends to portray the muslims and their organisations as terrorist cells, and to turn public opinion againts them. this is nothing new. indian police and paramilitaries used to this all the time in punjab to portray khalistanis sikhs as terrorists.but the practis was done on a much larger scale even the villagers knew it.
  22. Maybe because of the fact that many youth don't have a clue about what sikhi is to begin with. The majority of the older generation sikhs i know, (that are close reletivs of mine) are non the wiser. one of the most tragic things of all, is that not many sikh youth programs that i personaly know of teaches youth or anyone for that matter. the Gurbani. Deep knowledge of the sri guru grant sahib is super essential because the sri guru grant sahib is essentially what sikhi is. if you dont have any knowledge of gurbani means u know very little about the true meaning of sikhi and its teachings. the 3 main things youth programs should aim to teach their pupils are Bana & Bani (Gurbani, Rehit) and Sikh History. most things are trivial compared to those 3 i stated.
  23. we can only educate sikhs and non-sikhs alike of the atrocities committed against followers of the sikh faith and other minorities in india, and to expose the brahmanistic empire's true colours. its essential to make people aware of the truth. apart from that, at this current time there's no need for armed insurrection against the indian government. also, its not easy to crush a force that uses guerilla style warfare and tactical espionage as its primary fighting style. why go toe 2 toe against fighter jets and gunship helos using ground to air missiles.when, if well planed and executed, you can blow them up in their hangers with a blob of C4. think about this word people: "achilles heel" you, me and many other sikhs alike. I think the sole reason the panth is in the state that it is, its because people have turned away from the divine knowledge that is the sri guru grant sahib. the first priority is to "guide the misguided", do sikhi parchaar, bring people back into the panth and ultimatley the khalsa fold.. Though we must remember, there have always been A few "tRUE SIKHS". baisakhi 1699 out of the 10s of thousands only 5 had full trust in their guru. we must aspire to be those gursikhs that are arguabley the greatest men and women that have ever walked the face of the earth. the only way to be gursikhs of such calibre is to read, recite and understand the sri guru grant sahib, whcih is sikhi in itself.
