There came a big flood, and the water around Bhola's house was rising steadily.. Bhola was standing on the porch, watching water rising all around him, when a man in a boat came along and called to Bhola, "Get in the boat and I'll get you out of here. Bhola replied, "No thanks, God will save me." Bhola went into the house, and the water was starting to pour in. So, he went up to the second floor. As he looked out, another man in a boat came along, and he called to Bhola, "Get in the boat and I'll get you out of here." Again, Bhola replied, "No thanks. God will save me." The water kept rising. So, Bhola got out onto the roof. A helicopter flew over, and the pilot called down to Bhola, "I'll drop you a rope,grab onto it, and I'll get you out of here." Again Bhola replied, "No thanks. God will save me." The water rose and rose, and soon nearly covered the whole house. Bhola fell in, and drowned. When he arrived in Heaven, he saw God, and asked Him, "Why didn't you save me from that terrible flood? Did I not show you my faith?" With a loving but irritated tone God replied, "What more would you have me do? I sent people in two boats and a helicopter?"

i think we have been given that order so that no one is different so that every1 can be treated the same (castesystem). becus normally the surnames are used to find out which caste the person is from. just wat i thought, bul chuk maaph

One of my friends questioned me 'if evry thing is already decided by God then why does God decide to have bad things happening?' this got me thinking. I would have answered her ques. like dis : bad things are a reflection of wat u did bad in your last life or maybe in this life (karma). but i wasn't sure that this was right or if it answered the ques. so Ive turn to you guys for help. how can i explain this?

i totally agree with wannabekaur5 this should be done. But one of the main problems in many local gurdwaras is the hygiene in the kitchens and langar halls. because all the people are voluntary workers not all of them clean properly and they only clean the same stuff again but no one bothers cleaning up properly, I always try my best to help but wat can i do single handed? in my opinion there should be a group of cleaners called in or somesort of a rotation of the cleaning to be done. in one of the gurdwaras in my area the kitchen has been closed down by the health inspectors! so yeah thats wat i think shud be done.

i have thought about that quiet a few times and then came to the same solution that they just do it so the person that donated it feels proud. i think sayin all that in ardas is not to tell guru ji who has donated what, its so the donations can be advertised to the sangat in the gurdwara at the time.
