She herself finds sikhhism far too man made and a bit of a boys club, which is really what its become even if that may not have been the original intention of its founder ??.... And if that was it's original intention, then who can blame her for wanting out and freedom from it all

No, I won't. You should be accepted on WHO you are and not WHAT you are.

The word BIAS comes to mind for some reason ??? Hmmm - Unless you have evidence that proves the contrary, then you should have presented it in a court of law. It seems apparent, you have no counter evidence, hence the term BIAS. Sometimes we want to beleive the unbeleivable and dismiss the law. When you can learn to accept your own mistakes in full honesty then you can move up the ladder of truth. -
There's nothing in the Sikh religion that mentions Quasars, quantum physics, planetary measurements. Its all fantasy !! It seems that to 'big up' your faith you have to prove the non-existant parallel. Well I ought to explain that any parallel is non-existant !

What do her parents have to do with this ? I think a person should have the freedom to choose thier partner, and just because I am white is that a problem ? Apparently the other chap seems to say one thing do something else !! As for our kids, I wouldn't force religion on them, they would be free to choose as I feel you can't be born into faiths or other rubbish. Your religion doesn't have anything to do with helping people, it seems more to be about a boys club really

go for AMD- you get a lot of performance for the price In terms of warranties and that- most companies end up giving you technical support via a phone number that will cost you te Earth to call and warranties are often only cover parts- so personally i prefer to get the computer built off somebody i know and could get to repair it at a moments notice lucky me eh? :TH: 131220[/snapback] I disagree. A fast PC isn't necessarily a reliable PC. A PC made from different bits causes more hassle in the long run especially when you consider that the O/S is probably going to be unlicensed unless you use Linux. Which takes me to Apple PowerMac G5. Good points: Fastest Computer on the Market Fantastic build quality Better operating System than Windows Can run Yellow Dog Linux as an alternative to Mac OSX Bad points: Very expensive If you want a cheap reliable PC, then go for an IBM NetVista P4

I'm relatively new to this forum but it's taken me some time to ask this question but here goes - I'm English and my girlfriend is sikh, she's 19 and wants to get married even though I'm only 24 ! We've been going out for a year! But her parents, I imagine are against this stuff!! Her parents have already found a guy for her and I asked her what he's like and she called him a pimp !! I found that strange as he's got a huge turban and a long square beard and wotnot ? She's not one for ghetto politics, but there you go ! Anyway as far as I know he's unemployed, but he's the last thing she's worried about - I was wandering whats the best solution to the problem if anyone has any advise - thanks.

The truth always comes out in the end. Whether it suits you or not, justice shall prevail in the courts. If you agree, then you havent got yer facts wrong SSM -

Water:- ie Hydrogen & Oxygen ? Life, according to scientific research (that means no superstitious assumuptions here chaps) came from amino acids embedded in debris from flying comets that arrived on Earth and possibly other planetary units from the positive evidence we have.

The BBC have made a fair point, but you need to point out from a deeper perspective that it unfarly depicts Asians as well as broadly blames all Asians. Sikhs, Hundus & Buddhists alike are part of the Asian community, as much as they dislike the term but all I can say is happy Ramadan-a-Ding-Dong

You'll find the answer here - http://www.sikhmarg.com/english/khalsa.html Guru Naanak replied to the question, as to whether God prefers hindus or muslims. Guru Naanak observed that in God's court only good deeds (the highest of which is of Naam simran) will save a person. Which religion he follows on earth, is immaterial.
