Again this is sad how that Nikki Haley who converted to Christianity for politics in US can go to Harmandar Sahib and be treated a special guest while our own Gursikh is suffering and wants one last darshan at darbar sahib but is being kept against by the police force and intelligent agencies working against him. if at your gurdwara theres a Singh whos around your age and is a Gursikh to help you out you shouldn't be afraid to reach out and ask for help on tying a dastaar a certain way. Also old sevadaars of your gw would gladly help you out with tying a dastaar that suits you personally. On the other note, I suggest you to read more history of great sacrifices of Singhs in the past especially Shaheeds who have so much for us to enjoy the freedom we have today. i can see your point of view of keeping kesh being pointless, but if you want to be a True Sikh of the Guru you have to follow his Hukams and guru ji's kirpa will do the rest. What I really think what you need is inspiration and motivation but theres a lack of that around today but you gotta keep your head up going through tough times in life. I do suggest you to first give effort of learning more about Sikhi and learn to tie a dastar from any sevadaars and than decide what path you want to choose. But if you give no effort and straight away cut your hair because you think its meaningless and want to fit in society today then I can't respect that.

One thing bothers me is that everyone knows of tiny minority of radical Muslims make up the whole Muslim population in the world but what are the other "moderate" Muslims doing about it? There are radical imams preaching hate and violence who knows where? Do we even know how bad are some of the teachings of other religions are being taught to Muslims in Islamic Schools throughout the world? When will moderate Muslims stand up and act and speak against those who are supposedly ruining the image of Islam? What is even being "moderate" Muslim even mean? Sikhs will call out apne who are ruining the image of Sikhi within a heartbeat we will do it without fear but it seems majority population are silent in these cases.

yeah true I made a point on another thread we have to clean ourselves (as a Panth) before we reach out to other communities. But look at Khalsa Aid even though its a humanitarian aid organization look how they reach out to others who aren't Sikhs and how much of an impact it has done for others around the world. Just imagine if we have Panthic unity a lot would get done.

This is all confusing for me. Muslims who are against ISIS say they don't represent the Ummah(Muslims) and say they are misrepresenting Islam in their horrific law structure but ISIS does have Quran/Islamic Scholars there who are directly using the Quran and Sunnahs and Hadiths for their government.Then you have Islamic Scholars all over the world that condemn ISIS and send them a letter what they are practicing is wrong. Who's right? Who's wrong?

Moreover whatever view you have on Panthic issues, there is going to be people no matter what against your views even if majority support your views. It seems it been like that since past 30 years tbh. Yes of course when your part of a jathebandi you have your own set of rules/views with views that are different from other another jathebandi which can bring a conflict easily. There just needs to be panthic unity. Bhai Jugraj Singh made a good point within the low percentage of the Panth some leaders of different Jathebandis won't even go into the same room with another Jathebandi. We tend to point out differences real quick but don't take similarities and progress on with Panthic issues

I would say America cops are worse when handling civilians by a long run as you stated UK police handling tactics are different than here, but Muslims in America are more progressive I would say than those in the UK and don't make much trouble here..

Tommy Robinson is right about how not enough is being done with his example of interfaith dialogues how its just hello and goodbye most of the time. I feel UK Sikhs and along side with others need to combat this growing problem. This is sad to see such women and even girls at young age to be enslaves by these so called Muslims of Allah. Guru Nanak gave the meaning of True Muslim in the GGS.
