  1. lol .. yea i agree If it's so hard to read then don't read it - no one forces you to. And speaking about ego, it's quite a big thing to claim to be Guru Ji's Sipahi? Do your words and actions reflect this self-proclaimed title? Anyways I feel it would be better to take the sechias home/gurudwara. If someone wants to read and learn from Guru Ji then they could easily use the internet - sikhitothemax site etc. Perhaps you should inform the library about this site.
  2. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh The last and final part of the story on the Dashmesh Regiment and Bhai Seetal Singh Matewal is now up on the Ikonkaar Blog. Please take the time to read about the glorious soldiers of the Khalsa: Part 4 If you've missed any of the other parts here they are again: Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

  4. Celebrating Hindu festival is part of Bipran Ki Reet. Hindu festivals are Lohri, Holi and Rakhi that Sikhs in Punjab celebrate. You guys already know the story of Prehlad (a Bhagat mentioned in Gurbani). His aunt tried to burn him but he couldn't get burnt because he was the true devotee of God. From there people started celebrating Lohri and that's why people burn woods at night and they pray to fire that Don't harm our sons either like you didn't harm Prehlad. This festival is only for men. When a boy is born people distribute food, clothes etc.. but when a girl is born they do nothing. And think that the fire couldn't burn Prehlad and he was a boy so in order to pray to fire it has to be a boy. Besides a woman is considered inferior in Hinduism. This is all Bipran Ki Reet. by Bijla Singh
  5. From: Koorr Nikhutae Naanakaa Ourakh Sach Rahee... Now that brings me nicely to the only Mukhi who was a Karajkari Mukhi (Acting Jathedar) Sant Baba Thakur Singh Jee Khalsa. For over 20 years Sant Baba Thakur Singh Jee, affectionately referred to as 'Baba Jee', led Damdami Taksal and did an immense Seva. Humility, Honesty, Calmness and Discipline were just a few of the traits that oozed from Baba Jees character. Forever under the influence of Naam and Bani, Baba Jee would constantly be either reciting or listening to the words of Akaal. In 1983 Sant Jarnail Singh Jee Khalsa Bhindranwale gave a Bachan to the Sikh Sangat that if at any stage of the Dharam Yudh Morcha they were not to be present then we must all listen to and follow to words of Baba Thakur Singh Jee. It is disappointing to know that some people for their own personal gain have decided, now that Baba Jee is no longer on this Earth they can ignore the Bachan that was given. One story that comes to mind when thinking of the great Seva Baba Jee did was one when Sant Jarnail Singh Jee had newly become the Jathedar. It was in the early hours of the morning, and from their room Sant Jee could hear a noise coming from outside. Curious as to what it was they went outside and saw someone rush inside the Jorray Ghar (Shoe house). Sant Jee went to the Jorray Ghar and saw Baba Jee doing Jorria Di Seva alone, in the dark. Sant Jee was shocked and when enquired as to what Baba Jee was doing Baba Jee said "Either join in or go back to sleep, just don't talk!" Sant Jee began to apply the dust of the Sangat's shoes to Their forehead, along with Sant Baba Thakur Singh Jee. May the memory of Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Jee, Sant Baba Gurbachan Singh jee Khalsa Bhindranwale, Sant Baba Kartar Singh jee Khalsa Bhindranwale and Sant Baba Thakur Singh Jee Khalsa stay with us forever; and may the great leader of the 20th Century - Sant Baba Jarnail Singh Jee Khalsa Bhindranwale remain in Charrdeekalaa until the time comes for them to return. For those of you who get disheartened when people begin to say stuff about Sant Jee and Baba Jee, don't worry coz Koorr Nikhutae Naanakaa Ourakh Sach Rahee - Falsehood will come to an end, O Nanak, and Truth will prevail thereafter...
  6. Say if your wife dresses as a man then straps on a weird looking object around her waist, then has her way with you does that make you a homosexual  *not speakin from experience* ...............*waits for the fanatics on the forum to come, that dont like to laugh about anything hmmm should i post it ermmm its in fun section so what the heck* But there might be homosexual Sikh kids out there , i guess i shouldn't laugh but i'll laugh at straight kids too to make it fair You have posted 683 times on this forum and as far as I can recall every single one of your posts has been filled with manmat. A benti to you, before clicking on the 'Add Reply' button, please engage the brain that Vaheguroo has blessed you with. If that doesn't stop you from spewing out such garabage, I'd recommend you seek medical help. In addition to this, how much sikhi have you learnt from this site. If you come here with your attitude I reckon you have learnt very little. So it's time to ask yourself why you are here. It seems you're just here to have 'fun'. If that's all you want to get out of your time here and in life in general then fairplay to you, but please go and do this elsewhere and not on a SIKH forum.
  7. Yes I am a fool and you are all wise! I made no offensive remarks towards the Panj Pyarey and what people like you are doing is nothing short of slanderous. Unbelievable. I can imagine that wonderous event when the Tenth Master created lions out of 5 peasants. He gave them a dress form that has a meaning 5k's.....the saffron and blue........that symbolises the Temporal and the Spiritual...........what Gold outfits have to do with that is beyond me. The only childish comments I have seen is from slanderous people like yourself. And once again our dear Randip Singh has changed his original post. Actually you know I'm not bothered if you do or don't apologise. The fact of the matter is you insulted the the five singhs who Guru Gobind Singh Ji himself resides in. Everyone can clearly see that, oh well, I suppose we all pay for what we do right? I will pay for my slanderous remarks about you insulting my beloved guru
  8. Point 1 - I never direspected anything but pointed out that Gold is not one of the Sikh colours. Point 2 - Hankaar? Hankaar is when you start accusing someone of direspecting when they have done nothing of the sort. Point 3 - You do not know whether I am an Amritdhari or not. For all you know you may have met me. Anyway....I'm going to banned so no point debating. PS In this picture it looks gold lionchild. I like how you added the following to your original post, "No offence intended against the Panj Pyarey....do people honestly think our Panj Pyarey wore Gold outfits." Why can't you just admit your mistake and apologise instead of acting like a stupid little child who thinks he is better than everyone else.
  9. Happy Birthday Chandanjit Kaur And no I don't think your the youngest here

If you are unable to see members of the opposite sex (apart from your husband or wife) as either fathers/mothers, brothers/sisters, sons/daughters then you should completely avoid them. 11. 1978 Hukamnama Source: BC Sikh Youth Blog Below is a copy of the Hukamnama from Sri Akal Takhat Sahib on June 10, 1978, instructing all of the Khalsa panth to boycott the “Nakli Nirankari” (a.k.a. Narakdhari) movement and to undertake any and all efforts to prevent the spreading of the Nakli Nirankari propaganda. This was after the Shaheedi of 13 Singhs in the Vaisakhi 1978 Massacre by Nakli Nirankaris. This copy of the hukamnama appeared on the inside cover of Western Sikh Samachar from July 1978 (Edition No. 71) and underneath there is a quote from then Jathedar Singh Sahib Sadhu Singh Bhaura (Translated from Punjabi): “This is not an appeal, this is a hukam. By not following this, even the biggest of Sikh leaders cannot escape from being repremanded.” Read more about Vasakhi 1978

Kaahe Poot jhagrat hau sang baap Jinn ke jannay badeeray tumm hau, tinn siyon jhagrat paap (O Son, why are your quarrelling with your father. It is a sin to fight with your parents who gave birth to you and nurtered you to your youth). According to Gurbani, it is wrong to fight with your parents. By the same token, if they ask you to do something anti-Gurmat, you are allowed to refuse that but politely. We have a perfect example of Satguru Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji. His father even slapped him when Guru Sahib did sacha sauda and fed 20 saadhoos. Guru Sahib kept his head low and did not oppose his father Mehta Kaaloo Ji hitting him. He did not argue back. BUT, he did not give up his Gurmat stance either. Eventually with love, Guru Sahib won over his parents. In the same way, we should keep patience and love for our parents, even if their demands are anti-Gurmat. Do more paath and ardaas. Guru Sahib will surely melt the hearts of your parents, if you stay in Gurmat, do paath, and do not disrespect your parents by yelling back at them. Don't hate your parents and don't forget what they have done for you. It is hard to pay back one night of taking care by your mother, when you were an infant. Once you stay in Gurmat, respect your parents and politely keep your Gurmat stance, Guru Sahib will hold your arm and fix all your problems. 14. If you don't put gurbani on the posters which you print why on earth do you put gurbani on the e-posters can't you just use the normal poster as a e-poster too! Some people might like to advertise this event at their Gurudwara and may print of the eposter with gurbani on it. In the future please refrain from putting Gurbani on any of your posters or e-posters.
  15. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Sikhi was and will never be about numbers. I'm sure sikh leaders stressed the importance of quality rather than quantity in line with Guru Gobind Singh Ji's bachan: SAVA LAKH SIO EK LADAUN|| TABAI GOBIND SINGH NAM KAHAUN The difference between todays population of sikhs and the population of sikhs in the 1700s-1800s is that those sikhs who were very small in numbers were pure externally and internally. The numbers of Khalsas has increased today however the majority are only pure externally. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh
  16. ....lol....das wat i was thinkin......but like da other post sed....its up to guru ji....he luvs us and he knows wats best for us.....but like ima still young, buddy.....this marraige stuff is confusing ...hehe...bhul chuk muaf.... FATEH Ofcourse it's up to Guru Sahib. But it's a common excuse most people hide under. They use the logic that it's up to Guru Sahib to justify love marriages, but then at the same time they also forget the hukam that the same Guru Sahib they are talking about has given: "Men should look at the opposite sex as mothers, sisters and daughters, (women should look at the opposite sex as fathers, brothers and sons)." (//. 29, Pauri 11, Bhai Gurdas ji)
  17. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Love marriages mean seeing someone of the opposite sex (before marriage) as something other than your father/mother, brother/sister or son/daughter. This is totally against what Guru Sahib has taught us. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh

Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Celebrating Hindu festival is part of Bipran Ki Reet. And think that the fire couldn't burn Prehlad and he was a boy so in order to pray to fire it has to be a boy. Besides a woman is considered inferior in Hinduism. This is all Bipran Ki Reet. http://www.sikhtoons.com/lohri.html Guru Gobind Singh Ji said: "Jab Lag Khalsa Rahe Niara, Tab Lag Tej Dioon Mein Sara Jab Eh Gaye Bipran Ki Reet, Mein Na Karoon In Ki Parteet" This means as long as the Khalsa follow only one path of the Gurus and follow the teaching of Guru Granth Sahib, Guru Gobind Singh Ji will always be with the Khalsa. But if the Khalsa starts following Bipran Ki Reet then Guru Ji will not help the Khalsa because a Sikh is not allowed to follow Bipars (Brahmans). So please stay away from Bipran Ki Reet and follow only Sikhi. http://www.searchsikhism.com/bipran.html Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh
  19. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh We only ever get sad or depressed or feel down when we think that we are alone. We feel that there is no one to listen to us, to hear our struggles to share our pain. But we are not alone. We will never be alone. Every footstep we take, every direction we turn our most beautiful Guru Sahib is there right next to us counting our tears, counting our frowns and holding us in his arms. Why should we be scared when we are in the arms of the king of this world and the next? So what if he makes us walk through fire, he himself will take that pain on himself on his beautiful hands just to protect us, his ungrateful children. Never ever forget that Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj, who was with you not only in this life, but also with you in the millions of ones you had before this one. He is with you now too in your hour of misery and sadness. But with such a Guru by our side how can we feel sad? That Guru who sacrificed everything for us is standing by us today as our walking stick, as our lamp in this world of darkness. He is our only support, our only true love who will always be there no matter what. Why should we get depressed when we have the king of kings carrying us? Why should we feel sad when our brothers, Dhan Dhan Sahibzada Baba Ajeet Singh Ji, Dhan Dhan Baba Jujhar Singh Ji, Dhan Dhan Baba Zorawar Singh Ji, Dhan Dhan Sahibzada Baba Ajeet Singh Ji walk hand in hand with us? And the most beautiful thing is that even when we leave this world, that beloved King of ours will still accompany us and he will still protect us no matter what because he loves us that much. May Maharaj bless us so that we may love him a fraction of the amount he loves us. You are not alone, Guru Sahib and his Ladlee Fauj are with you now and forever. When you are tired and discouraged from fruitless efforts... God knows how hard you have tried. When you've cried so long and your heart is in anguish... God has counted your tears. If you feel that your life is on hold and time has passed you by... God is waiting with you. When you're lonely and your friends are too busy even for a phone call... God is by your side. When you think you've tried everything and don't know where to turn... God has a solution. When nothing makes sense and you are confused or frustrated... God has the answer. If suddenly your outlook is brighter and you find traces of hope... God has whispered to you. When things are going well and you have much to be thankful for... God has blessed you. When something joyful happens and you are filled with awe... God has smiled upon you. When you have a purpose to fulfill and a dream to follow... God has opened your eyes and called you by name. Remember that wherever you are or whatever you are facing... GOD KNOWS!! Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh
