I look at the previous Jathedars' kirdaar and history and listen to the later ones katha and come away thinking how on Waheguru ji's great and Good Earth did this guy pass muster, where is his contributions to parchaar lehar? What has he done so far to progress sikhi ? and nothing notable has come to mind . The Taksal like the Akal Takht is above humans , we serve the institutions and the panth, not the other way round.

listen to the katha posted by Sant Kartar SIngh ji on it . What started as a festival associated with Parvati turned into a tool to allow the local mughals to peruse and kidnap girls . Nowadays no one is forcing girls but it is being made out to be something of our virsa when it has jack to do with it , much like Heer Ranja , Sassi Punu ...what our Guru Sahibans have given and what is being pedalled to our young girls ...I grew up in UK and when I went to be shown 'Punjabi customs' (literally dragged along against my will) I felt creeped out fully because you had all the village girls just roaming and singing and dancing , and groups of guys roaming at a distance tracking and watching... This was also during Kharkoo time 89/90 and they had shut down this kind of stuff . 3 girls were raped within a day of this by some village guys and kharkus told everybody to stay in , the next we heard they had been 'sorted'.

don't be deluded veer ji , they can and regularly do groom non-christians to 'join the flock' , in fact they are trained to do it from a young age, my twin sons are friends with christian twins since age 10 , both sets are strong in their individual faiths in fact, my lads asked them blatantly if they believed that being sikh meant they couldn't get into heaven, when the christians were trying to do promo of Christianity , the answer Yes, next question Are you trying to change us ? yes , no point bro we already pray and worship only the Creator. But then when asked about their Jewish forebears chances they didn't know how to answer, (family changed faith after WWII). Didn't stop them trying to get the lads over to their church even invite them to 'festival' weekend. Obviously my sons talk to me and I prewarned and armed them with sikhi knowledge , they are still good friends after 8 years and there is mutual respect because my lot could answer all the arguments and show sikhi as being more open , less condemning than Abrahamic faiths they knew.
