Thursday 29th November: Sahib – Mastery (6pm to 8pm) and Langar This is the main event of the week - as part of London Sikhi week - a life changing talk looking at the accomplishments of the sovereign Sikh community through Sikh history and how the Guru has bestowed his Sikhs as masters. What does it mean today to be a Sikh and find the Sikh path? Looking at Sikhs of the past, present and future. How will Sikhs from western hemisphere affect the Panth and lead the Sikhs into future. A free langar (food) will also be served. WHERE: Chemical Engineering, Lecture Theatre 2. How to get there: SOUTH KENSINGTON TUBE STATION > Follow Subway signs to IMPERIAL COLLEGE LONDON > Turn Left out of Subway and enter into Imperial > Go to Chemical Engineering, Lecture Theatre 2. ********************************************** Friday 30th November: Rehraas Sahib and Kirtan (6pm to 8pm) End the week with the evening prayer, Rehraas Sahib and listen to the sound of beautiful Kirtan(hymns) performed by our GUEST raagi's. WHERE: SAFB How to get there: SOUTH KENSINGTON TUBE STATION > Follow Subway signs to IMPERIAL COLLEGE LONDON > Turn Left out of Subway enter into Imperial > Go straight till you see a glass building (SAFB:Sir Alexander Fleming Building)

  4. This month End of month youth Keertan Darbar is part of LONDON SIKHI MONTH 2007 and will be celebrating Avtarpurb of Siri Guru Nanak Dev Ji and Bandi Chor of Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji. In Commemoration of the 250th Shaheedi Divas (Martyrdom Day) of Baba Deep Singh Jee Saturday 24th November 2007 from 7.30pm till late Singh Sabha Gurdwara Park Avenue, Southall. this open if anyone would like to do keertan they are welcome to. so far we have Bhai Abinash Singh Bibi Harmohan Kaur Bhai Manvir Singh Bhai Vijay Singh Bibi Amrit Kaur.... and more :lol:
  5. Ustaad Bhai Uptej SIngh teaches in East London, Leyton (Sunday afternoon) and North London in New Southgate (Saturday 9am). Baba Fateh Singh Gatka Akhara have classes across London, gravesend etc. Also I belive Bhai Pritipal Singh Ji Teaches in Southall but dont know more about the classes there.
  6. your allowed to wear panj kakar I dont see why they would stop him wearing dastaar. I know someone whos in the army and even yesterday on radio he came on and said your allowed to wear all panj kakkar. are you sure you have the whole story... if its true then im sure he could take legal action...
  7. all the speakers are gupt hehe All im going to say anyone whos been to talks so far will tell you, you wont be disappointed Vahegurooooooooo oooooooo but I will tell you that Bhai Sukhvinder Singh is comming on 1st of December for Keertan Darbaar :lol: Directions station: mile end, come out of the station and turn left and walk straight....past the bridge...turn towards barclays building and walk straight into library square. Francis Bancroft Building is the one next to Bar Med. could i kindly request all the non - QM students to make sure you have a university ID on you, just in case security checks are done, but we are hoping the security will not be a problem.

  13. Tomorrow London Sikhi Month at City Uni The topic DHARAM (THE SIKH PATH) For Sikhs, the word "Dharma" means the "Path of righteousness". What is the "righteous path"? That is the question that the Gurbani (the Sikh Scriptures) answer. Why did Guru Nanak Sahib Ji come on earth? What is the need finding the 'Sat Guru' (True Guru)? Why choose to walk the Path of Sikhi? Time and Place Date: Thursday, November 8, 2007 Time: 6:00pm - 8:00pm Location: Birley Lecture Hall Station: Angel Turn left at exit of Angel station and walk straight down the road for 5 mins. At the end of the road the building is on the opposite side of the road.

Saturday 24th November will be End of Month Keertan at Singh Sabha, Southall, Park Ave. It will be part of London Sikhi month with Keertani attending from up and down uk and bit different bit of Kathaa to More info on who's coming nearer the time.... ooo the anticipation is murder. haha :nihungsmile:

  19. woohooo cant wait :cool: theres a prog on 10th nov to people need to realise theres a program at Slough Sikh School virtually every day so chardi kala, I should look at moving hehe.
