  1. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Pyare jio, that always happens at first. The more you keep tieing it more it looks better. I wear 2 keskis as mentioned. This is because I used to be a mona, and when i kept my kesh, my kesh did not grow very long. My dumalla at first looked big, but know it is fine. Sometimes make the material less wide, or less long. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!
  2. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! pyare jio, just a few points to finish up, most things seem to be covered. 1) Hazoor sahib may be a recognised Takht, but it is not run by any sikh institution. It is actually run by a board, which is run by a right-wing hindu nationalist government of maharastra. The same people who destroyed the Babri masjid, and the same people who supported the genocide in 40 days of rioting in Godhra. The maryada is neither olden, or correct. in fact it is highly incorrect, with numerous Guru Granth sahib facing in different directions, joths, and dodgy nihangs killing different animals, etc, etc. It is completely wrong to think there is anything to learn from maryada there. Instead it is a reflection of everything the Singh Sabha Movement fought to eradicate. Fortunately they succeeded in most of india. Hazoor sahib is exactly what most right wing hindus want happening in all gurdwaras, which proves to the world that sikhs are actually Hindus. So please think before we start considering it a model to emulate. 2) The SGPC in current form is highly corrupt and a stain on sikhi. This has been mainly down to 2 key players Tohra and Badal. Both can be considered as anti-sikh. But the people who actually created the SGPC were very devoted and jeevan wale sikhs. We should never forget their sacrifices. Yes, the SGPC maryada allows meat, but so does most sant maryadas, and many others. I , myself, have always been anti-meat, and more in agreement with the jatha. However I do recognise the simple fact that they only way the Panth is going to come together in under the Akal Thakht rehat maryada. This is the b ase level in sikhi. As far as an individual, I myself was not interested in the base level, and wanted sikhi to the max, which is why I went where I went, and am content. But I will always respect the Akal takht and its maryada. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!
  3. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Pyare jio, there was a Singh who took Amrit. However being a typical punjabi, even after taking Amrit he was unable to get rid of his habit of swearing. So while doing seva he would swear. "salla this and that, mother this and that, sister this and that". Many complaints came from the sangat. Eventually he was again summoned in front of the Puanj Pyares, who asked why as an amritdahree he swore so much. He explained, it was not intentional, in fact he was quite embarrased by it. It was just that growing in Punjab, being mostly illiterate, that was how he grew up speaking, and he was not articulate enough to change his speach. The Punj Pyares were caught in a dilemma. After consulting each other for some time, they came up with an amazingly simple solution. They instructed him to say the word " Ji " after everything he said. He accepted it as a blessing, and practised it. He now found it impossible to swear, because you cannot say ji, after a swear word. With time, his swearing stopped. Over time, the sangat started complimenting this Gursikh over his pyar valle speech, and the way he always say ji after everything, and to everything. The sign of a real Gursikh. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!
  4. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Pyare jio, AKJ does not distinguish between singhs and bibian. The maryada is that the parshad is given to 5 Amritdharee Gursikhs. So you give it to the first five regardless of sex or age. So if you did see that, then tell the person off for doing it. This maryada is accepted by the Akal takht, and is common place in most Gurdwaras. But as we see most Gurdwaras are more punjabi, than sikhi, which is why practices of just giving to males is adopted. Youth should try to re-introduce sikhi in to these Gurdwaras. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!
  5. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Pyare jio, there are many rehat maryadas out there. Follow the one you find most truth in. I personally appreciate the Akahand kirtani jatha, as I have found it makes more sense than most. The SGPC maryada should always be respected as that I believe it is the nearest way of uniting the Panth. Reading from the above mails, It is definately wrong of veer khalistani to write the damdami taksal maryada is original to the times of Guru Gobind Singh. This is false propoganda. Firstly taksal cannot prove this claim, neither its lineage. Secondly there have been many changes to its maryada over time. The best advice i think would be to follow a maryada which you are comfortable with, realising Amrit is about Naam, and Naam japna is the most important thing after Amrit. Then if you have any queries, then ask the Panj Pyares. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!
  6. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! pyare jio, veer ji, If we look generally, it is true to say that one man`s freedom fighter is another mans terrorist. I think this is true for most situations, especially islam, hinduism, and judaism, but not sikhi. I am not too familiar with Air India case, due to being from Uk, we do have that much media coverage of it. A terrorist is one who creates terror in innocent minds. This can be true of the campaigns of IRA, Unionists, Islamic terrorism, or even state sponsored, such as Isreal on occupied Palestine, Bosnia, Cambodia, etc. If we relate this to events around sikhi, and we look with non-bias, it should be clear that the terrorism was committed by the Ruling Congress, supported by rightwing Hindu nationalists, both of whom used the structure of the Indian Government to terrorise sikhs. Genocide, and rape during Operation Bluestar, Delhi roits, and the period up to mid 1990`s clearly demonstrates this. The sikhs in their role never had a pro-active role, but more of a re-active role. The Shaheedi of Bhai Fauja Singh and the other 12 singhs was due to the Anti Sikh activities of Nirankaris, induced by Indra Gandhi. Baba Jarnail Singhs role was a re-action to the shahedian of Bhai fauja Singh, anti-sikh activities of various factions, including Nirankaris, Lala jagat narian, rightwing hindus, and the murder of sikh youth in India. Operation Blue star was the result of a policy of indian goverment against the newly found sikh spirit created by baba Jarnail Singh. And so on and so on. Sikhs did not create terror in the minds of anyone. They just reacted to the terrorism inflicted upon them. However even this does not justify terrorism. It has no place in sikhi. Guru Tegh Bahadhur sahib clearly states, "fear no one, and create fear in no one". Sahib Siri Guru Gobind Singh ji, clearly states, "Chun Chun ke satar Humare maryee". Carefully selecting the enemies, and destroying them. This is what sikhs did after Operation Bluestar, and delhi roits. They carefully selected those responsible and killed them. The carnage in Punjab of blowing up buses and trains with innocents in them has been proved to be the work of Indian Government and their Black cats. Primarily done to give Sikhs a bad name, and to place the label of terrorists of them. But sikhs are not terrorists, they are a saint soldiers, a new breed of freedom fighters. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!
  7. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Pyare jio, as l have seen many times before the sangat is going at tangents, mainly because we are more interested in what historical texts say, or practices at different locations, etc, rather than what our Guru - shabad guru says. "Nanak Amrit Ek hai, Duja nahi koi". There is only one Amrit, which for any Guru Ablakee, male or female. Furthermore, Gurbani clearly uses the analgue many times, where it states the Creator Akal is the male, and all of us, our souls are the females. There is complete equality according to Gurbani. Notions about bibian not doing seva at certain times of the month is quite dispicable, and only the creation of some sick minds of sants, nihangs, etc, who seem to not have thier minds where they should be. Notions of a separate Amrit for Bibian is again complete against Gurmat. I am sorry to say, in recent years the more I have heard about nihangs, and silly mails of the likes of lalleshvari, narsingha, etc, the more I am glad I have the sikhi background that i have. I am daily, beginning to agree with Veer Bikramjit Singh, that sikhawareness by allowing such rubbish, is far from doing any seva for sikhi. Furthermore, the likes of lalleshavari, narsingha, are nothing more than "sharatee" youth. If they truely believe what they write, then they should put their real names to their posts and stand by what they write. These hidden identities are just demonstrating that they themselves are embarassed by their views. As far as bibian in history, the first Amritdharee sikh was Bibi Nanakee, who took Charan Pahul from Sahib Siri Guru Nanak dev ji. If I remember correctly, Guru Amar Das ji, was originally atttracted to Gurbani, after listening to keertan done by Guru Anjad dev ji singhni. Amazing jeevans of the likes of Bibi Bhani ji, Bibi Rajni, Mata Gujri, and so many others. All of whom where Amritdharee. The story quoted about Mai Bhag kaur is false. She never asked Guru ji, Guru Ji gifted her with that saroop. He himself tied the keski on her. The way nihangs are distorting history to justify their dodgy thinking is quite shameful. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!
  8. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Pyare jio, the reason has already been mentioned, that one is your dastaar, and the other is a keski which always covers your hair whether or not you wear a dastaar, . i.e at home, or while sleeping. Some like myself have a third keski around our kesh, protecting them before a bun is tied. This is all up to the individual. It is essential to wear a keski, otherwise, when you take your dastaar off, your kesh are not covered at all. This is against many instructions, which clearly state, your kesh should be covered, when eating, sleeping, doing chores. Most jathebandian insist on having a keski under the dastaar. The quote from taksaal is one example of this, eventhough the actyal maryada of taksaal does not mention the keski not being a kakaar line. This seems to be added later in translation by youth. This raises the question when so many jathebandies state clearly in their maryadas that a keski should be worn, and hair should not by allowed to be open or plaited. Then why when they give Amrit, do they not implement this, and just go for numbers? The ones who have keski as a kakaar, at least it is implemented. Why not the others? Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!
  9. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Pyare jio, there is alot more to this than meets the eye. In Punjab, there is a mass movement to re-introduce Punjabi culture. They blame singers like jazzy B for ruining punjabi heritage and culture by having semi-naked girls girls dancing around on videos, his silly hairstyles, and using old punjabi songs and re-mixing them. Jazzy B sales dropped, and apparently according to the press, they even beat him up at one of his gigs. In interviews, he is often questioned about this aswell. Same is happening to other singers. As a result many singers have got older so-called Dharmic tapes. This has included many singers. Essentially this is just a media stunt. Next time people interview him and others about ruining punjabi culture, they will just respond by saying they have Dharmic tapes aswell. This is why his tape was treated quite cynically by Punjabi press. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!
  10. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Pyare jio, I have not seen alot of sites, so not exactly one to judge. But I do believe that no website has had as much impact on sikhs, their knowldge and sikhi parchaar as sikhitothemax. You just have to look at rainsbhais, youth programmes worldwide, everyone now uses that system. Also I think the best messageboard I have come across is www.tapoban.org Everytime you go there you learn something new. Although not as strict as many of the Gursikhs there, i do find the discussion informative and inspirational. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!
  11. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! pyare jio, it is easy to say sikhi is best, and all sikhs are the best. But the reality is you will often come across people from other religions and atheists, who have alot of pyaar, honesty, compassion, etc. Every person is an indivdual, and every one has their own special virtues, and I believe every human has goodness inside them. Sometimes you have to look harder, but it is there. Sahib Siri Guru Nanak dev ji found it is mass murders, cannabals, etc, and turned them into saints. "sanjh Karo Guna Kere, Shud Avgunn Chaleea" lets share virtues, collect the good, leave the bad virtues behind, and mix with everyone, and create a better humanity. The only way to compare religions is not by comparing its followers, as mentioned, because everyone as good virtues. But to compare its philosophies. I have often done this in debates with other religions. I once found a passage in the Koran which has exactly the same message as one of Bhai Gurdas jis varan. We have so much in common. But I did find Gurbani is far more simple, logic, less dogmatic and ritualistic, and far more common sense than the others. The thought is far more applicable to humanity, and answers the ills of society in a logical format. A muslim once said to me the greatest poetry ever written is the Koran. I disagreed. Althougth all gurbani is equal, nothing ever written compares to Jaap sahib. There is no description of God, which more detailed, more comprehensive, using such a variety of vocabulary, from so many different languages. Sahib Siri Guru Gobind Singh ji was the poet extraodinaire. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khal sa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!
  12. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Pyare jio, please forgive, but from recollection of all sikh history, No sikh ever used bhang to stop Pain, they used naam abyass. Please look at examples of Sahib Siri Guru Arjan Dev ji. Did he use bhang? no, he said "Tera keea Meta laagae". No one got to worse type of Shaheedi then Guru Ji. Then consider Bhai Sati das Ji, Bhai Mati das Ji, Bhai Dayala Ji, Banda Singh bahadhur and all of his Singhs, and the rest of Sikh history. When they never needed Bhang, why do modern so-called Sikhs? Is Amrit Naam not strong enough anymore, or are they just too lazy to do it. Nihangs call it Shaheedi jal, but if they read bani, Maharaj says"phela maran khabul hai, jeevan ke shad <admin-profanity filter activated>, Hoe sabna ka rainka ta aavoo hamare pass." The day you take Amrit, you leave all your "Assan and Ommedan" (ambitions and wants), and become a Banda of Guruji. You die that day, and become a saint soldier of the Guru ji. When you have the power of Amrit and the blessing of Naam, there is no need for anything else. The use of Bhang has just made nihangs into nothing more that a comedy act. The mass genocide of the last 25 years, and they fell at the feet of Indra Gandhi in 1984, and did as they were told. How can you even call them sikhs, when they lost so much self-integrity and did that. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!
  13. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Pyare jio, I originally did not wish to get into this debate as their seems to be quite a few hidden agendas here. But some points do need claifying, so if I may: 1) Baba Attar Singh was not influenced by Nirmales thought, eventhough he may have attended some schools in early childhood. Baba Ji was actually in the Panch khalsa Diwan, which was responsible for cleaning alot of wrong practices in Gurdwaras during the Gurdwara Sudar lehar. Other members included Babu Mal Singh ji, Bhai sahib Randhir Singh, and I also believe Baba Vasakha Singh etc, at various times. They were the cream of the Panth and were all considered the Tat Khalsa, deviod of Snaatan Sikhi thought. 2) Learner Singh - the article you have added on religious co-existence is good, but completely off the subject. Sikhi does believe and has demonstrated co-existence for centuries. But that has nothing to do with what Veer Bikramjit Singh and veer N30 are talking about. Similarly your shabads are also out of context, and please when putting on shabads, put the Gurmukhi on aswell. Translations do have alot of mistakes in them. Veer Bikramjit Singh is questioning the fundamentals of Snaatan thought which are fundamentally flawed when compared with basic Gurmat idealogue. Mention of Udasis, is fine, baba Siri Chand was an exceptionally abyassi individual. However his thought was rejected by Guru ji. Sikhi has many fundamental attributes, seva, simran, abyass, humility, the list is endless. Part of that is Hukam. This is very important. Sahib Siri Guru Nanak Dev ji accepted and embraced his sikhs, who followed hukam. That was why Sah ib Siri Guru Anjad Dev Ji was the next Guru and not baba Siri Chand. baba Siri Chand had plenty of opportunity, but did not come up to the required level which Guru Ji wanted. Reference - all the Guru jis sakhees of transfer of Guru doom. This is what it comes down - every sikh should work towards every Virtue. The mool Mantar is a description of God, but if a sikh is truely and sincerely a pujari of God, then the Mool mantar may also be a description of his/her virtues aswell. Similarly a sikh should always be ready for any seva which Guru ji placed before his sikh, whether it is paath, keertan, tabla, joorian de seva, langar, dirty pandee, gathka, lecture, cleaning toilets, helping others, shaheedi, etc. An excellent book, probably the best I have read so far, on sahib Siri Guru Gobind Singh ji is "Sahibe kamal" which was actually written by an Arya samajist, but none the less an excellent book on Dasmesh Pitta and his philosophy. The more you read Guru jis bani, it is clear, he wanted to create a clarity of vision, free of any dogmatic ritualism, divisions, etc, to present a khalsa, a race of pure saint soldiers. To think that Guru Ji created various sampardays, etc, is ludricous, and against his thought and bani. That is exactly what he wanted the humans beings to get away from. Guru ji just created the khalsa, which has every possible virtue in it. Nothing more, nothing less, the khalsa is complete. Snaatan thought is nothing but a re-introduction of another form a castism, under the umbrella of a different name. You ask who knows what sikhi is, this is a strange. Sikhi is bani. " Guru Moorat Guru Shabad Hai", "Bani Guru, Guru Hai bani, vich Bani Amritsare", etc, etc. Both of you seem like intelligent lads, but I get the impression you are taking historical texts, and trying to fit bani around them , when you should be taking Gurbani, and historical texts are only relevant when they do not contradict Gurbani. They Guru would never do anything that contradicts Gurbani. Also yo u conveniently avoid all the bad things that Nirmalas, Udasis, etc, have done against Sikhs and the Guru Khalsa Panth in our history. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!
  14. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Pyare jio, I do not currently have a copy, but if some can scan and send to me, I would be happy to have a go at translating it. I think it is dearly needed now, especially with all the sillyness that goes around called snaatan sikhi. Just to agree with veer gabroo khalistan da, proper nihangs, such as shaheed Bhai Avtar singh Brahma, head of KLF, and Baba Nihal Singh Herian vela wala are accepted by the Panth. The rest seem to choose cannabis, alcohol, Hindu nation, etc, before the Guru khalsa panth. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!
  15. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! pyare jio, Bradford! Enough said. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!
  16. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Pyare jio, you need to be careful here and rightly do not believe everything that is written, especailly from sikhawareness.com. Mainstrean sikhism rejects the notion of nirmalas, udasis, sevapanthis and nihangs. Althougth they do exist, their actions are contrary to sikh thought. Sikhism has a clear sikh rehat maryada. Althougth each jathebandie may have differences upon the finer details, there is a general consensus upon it. This is called the khalsa rehat. It is open to everyone, and anyone who has love for their Guru gives their head to their Guru and accepts his hukam and Amrit. "rehat pyare muj koe, sikh pyare nahin". Udases started from the son of Sahib Siri Guru Nanak dev ji, and similarly the other 3 also has strong historical links to Gurus or Gursikhs in history. There is no denying of this. The concept of these 4 is now becoming known as Snaatan sikhi. They claim they are the original and true. However this is not the case at all. Snaatan sikhi is a concept which is the process of a diluted sikhi drenched in hinduism, and ritualism of the nature that the concept of the khalsa was trying to eradicate. Similar to the caste system, they may call themselves sikhs, but with specific roles, i.e. raksha, or meditation, or seva. The concept of the khalsa rejects this, as it clearly ensures that all virtues, of meditation, seva, and sant siphahi should all be in the khalsa. The khalsa through history has ably demonstrated this. Snaatan sikhi is a concept which Arya samaj also wishes to encourage, as it clearly associated sikhs with hindus, as per their belief that sikhs are h indus. Bhai Kahn Singh nabha then wote the timeless article, "Hum Hindu Nahin" in response to the propoganda of Arya samaj. This broke the back of their propoganda, and set clear lines between sikhism and hinduism. Now new age nakli nihangs in UK are also promoting this in their own delusion state of righteousness. They claim that Khalsa thought was a concept of British, which is nonsense. Khalsa thought had a renaisannce period during the Singh Sabha Movement and Gurdwara Sudar lehar. These movement crushed the false British backed corrupt administration of gurdwaras, run by Mahants, Nirmalas, Udasis, etc. When the Singhs went to the jungles, these groups took over sikh shrines under patronage of Moghuls and British. They will use examples from history to prove their love for the Guru, and create acceptance for their existence. But the reality is anybody who has love for their Guru, does takes Amrit, does wear the kakaars, does keep rehit, does refrain from alcohol, cannabis, intoxicants etc. Many nirmales now want acceptance so they can create their own deras. However they never get time in Gurdwaras because they are rejected by the Panth. If they really search for the Truth, and have love for their Guru, let them accept His Hukam, and enter the Panth, as Gursikhs. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!
  17. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Pyare jio, below is a mail I wrote a year about this. Please check debate below, it has many of the answers that you are searching for. For other questions, let me know there is a website, which answers everything islam has to offer. "Pyare jio, recently I encountered a bibi who was heavily influenced by islam. She wanted to have a debate with me. She seemed quite confident she was going to convince me about the superiority of Islam. I accepted. The angle she used was all about life after death. A few weeks later I was talking to another local Gursikh about this. He said this was so strange. He said in the office he worked, he too was approached, and also asked about life after death. He said not only this, but his brother who studies in a birmingham university was also asked the same questions. So was his sister, who is a teenager in a leeds school. We thought this cannot be a coincidnce that in the matter a two weeks four practicing sikhs are approached by muslims with exactly the same questions. These are just the people we know, how many more? Wondering about this, we came to the conclusion, that there must be some kind of organised approach to this. Quite possibly an egroup, which regularly lists questions which can be asked to all non-muslims, to question their faith, and then interest them in islam. Two weeks ago, I met another sikh who works as a teacher in a school. He said he has alot of muslim kids in his class. He said one of them even came up to him, put his arm around him, and said, "give me half an hour, and I will convince you islam is the only way." He said he w as amazed at the level of confidence in these kids that they could say something like that to their teacher. Cont`d from last mail.. Below is the debate we had about this subject, initiated by the bibi. Bibi: Bhaji, You sikhs believe in reincarnation. This is a completely absurd theory. It does not make sense. How can a human then become a pig? Das: Bhen ji, both sikhs and hindus believe in re-incarnation, but our belief is different in some areas, but the whole concept of re-incarnation is not about what a person becomes in their next life, but about escaping the cycle of life and death and becoming mukht. Bibi : But how do you become a pig from a human? Das: The body is just a vessel, only the soul is what is of value. This soul can be born in any vessel. Bibi: I do not accept this, I think it is absurd. Das: Bhen ji, that is your choice. A person after death is judged according to their thoughts & actions. It is according to this judgement, that they are honoured or dishonoured in the next life. But even this is not so important. The important thing is to be able to break the cycle in life and death, while alive. To be able to attain a spiritual plain and obtain mukhti. Then it does not matter what you will be in the next life, for you are free and merged with God. That is the key to re-incarnation, that one breaks free from this cycle. Bibi: Fine, but is sikhi the way? Judgement day will come upon us all. Das: Yes it will, and it happens everyday. Everyday we are judged, and every action we do has a re-action. But in the end to Judgement day will come, we call it the Dharam Raj, you call it different. Bibi: No, judgement day will come to everyone on this earth. The day will be beckoning, when Allah judges all, and the muslims will rise. Das: You mean the muslims will rise, ie. all the ones buried in coffins will rise again and you will have an army of zombies fighting against non-muslims. You find re-incarnation absurd, but you find this acceptable? Bibi: Islam is the truth, it is the only way. All those who are non-muslims will become muslims. Das: Judgement day as a concept is complete nonsense. It does not make sense. Bibi: How can you say that? Das: Bhen ji, relax and listen. Firstly you believe in a day. Why? God, Allah, Waheguru, does not believe in day and night, God is timeless. Day and night is a concept of man, and the result of the earth circling the sun. Why would God wait for a day to judge everyone. God is beyond that. It is a continuous process as in sikhi has with the Dharam raj. Do you believe God is not capable of judging people continuously. Why wait for a day? Them muslims who died centuries ago are then unlucky for they have had to stay in coffins all this time, decomposing, waiting for this day to come when they can be judged. Does this not seem an ineffective way, surely continuous judgement via dhram raj is more sensible, and God`s way is Truth. I see more truth in continuous judgement. Bibi: yes, but your way, turns a human into a pig? Das: Bhen ji, You are stuck on one silly point. God gives his beloved souls many many chances, it is they who choose whether to take this chance or not. If they do not then they come back in some form or another. Just because muslims do not like pigs, does not mean they are bad. A pig is part of Allah`s creation aswell, just like everything else. A person who is a friend of God, is also a friend on his creation. That person learns to love and appreciate everything God has created. Bibi: No, in islam there is only one chance, there is only one way, and you are judged according to it. Das: How can this be the way of God? Even a mother with a child. The child as it grows up makes thousands of mistakes, the mother sometimes gets frustrated, but never stops loving the child. The mother always forgives and has that compassionate nature. And we are talking of God. It is God who put that compassionate nature into the mother. How can we say God is not compasionate at all? The human will make thousands of mistakes in their life, no matter how holy they are, but God will always love them, help them, and be compassionate towards them. he gives them thousands of chances. Bibi: Yes, true a mother is compassonate and so must be God. l have to read deeper, maybe in islam you do get another chance. Das: Then if you do get another chance, then that chance has a form. Whether or not you accept it, then that is a form of re-incarnation, and non-acceptance of Judgement day theory. (Bibi goes quiet, revelation suddenly dawns upon her) Bibi: No, No, I will have to get back to you ... We will talk about this again.. Bibi left. waheguru ji ke khalsa, waheguru ji ke fateh
  18. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Pyare jio, the original email was written by me almost 5 years ago when I first moved to yorkshire. Since then it has been doing the rounds on websites, messages boards and egroups. I noticed people have even changed the text. No muslim I know has gone out with a dastaar wale bibi. People have been changing it, but generally it is the same message. Since that time, we have set up leeds and bradford sikh youth group, done plenty of youth programs, sikh youth camps, khalsa camps, rainsbhais, keertan darbaars. Now L&B is one the most active areas of sikhi parchaar in UK. The youth group has 70+ sevadaars, and plenty of weekly programmes. The bibian sections is also very strong with some very good role models. So with Guru maharajs kirpa, things are now very good here. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!
  19. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Pyare jio, below is a link of a website in Uk of sikh lawyers. It contains all the cases for these situations and many others. althougth mainly Uk based, it does have alot of USA stuff aswell. http://www.british-sikh-fed.org.uk Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!
  20. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Pyare jio, the Guru and waheguru are the same. It is like the ocean and the wave. Althougth they are different with different roles. The ocean is the mass body, and the wave moves up the beach picking up the sand particles ( our souls), and merging them back with Akal. So they are different, but also they are the same. This is because both are made of water. Similarly Guru ji had a different role to Waheguru, but both are of the same light. However who is our Guru. Sahib Siri Gobind Singh ji is right, he is not the Guru as such, neither Guru Nanak dev Ji. It was the shabad that was the Guru, and as that shabad resided within them they became Gurus, or as Guru says in todays hukamama - " jaases mai aavae kasam ki bani" - as the bani comes from above, I sing. Hence the Guru is "Guru morat Guru Shabad hai" - the face or vision of the Guru is the Shabad. We are Pujares of Shabad Guru, we always have been, even before the Add Guru Granth sahib ji. It is just most of the Panth, even after 400 years has not realised this. Instead the go searching for sants, or pilgrimages, or pictures, or personalities. The reality is that guru ji is the Shabad, we should read it, do abyass of it, and follow it as Hukam. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! P.S. khalistani - you said read you ending. I did. It said Akal Akal damdami taksal. Surely that should be Akal Akal Guru Khalsa Panth?
  21. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! pyare jio, there is alot of reverse psychology here. He is twisting everything you say, in a sort emotional blackmail. The sort of " you know we are right and in time you will realise." I spent years debating with these guys and girls in uni. Use Sheik Farid ji, and Bhagat Kabir ji to put them straight. Although do not like to many senseless debates. But if you need a hand let me know. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!
  22. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Pyare jio, Bhai sahib was not married, purely as part of destiny not choice. He was very active in arranging marriages of youth in UK. He wanted to ensure young amritdharee youth found suitable matches who would continue them on their journey of naam. He was very pro-Gristi jeevan. Once when trying to convince me to get married, he told me, you will face many barriers and limitations without marriage and gristi jeevan. When I asked him about his situation and why he did not get married. He simply replied, when it was his age to be married, he travelled, and was not stablely settled in Uk. Then when he was, he had become too old, and forgot about the idea. He had such a funny smile on his face, and just flicked his hand, and said forget it for me now. By the way, his book is available in India aswell. There is a huge demand for it. Obviously the Indian Government are not happy, as the book mentions how Khalsa raj will come, and how proper Gurmat parchaar for youth should be done. books are available in english and punjabi in Uk. I will try and get an email adress as a contact for those who want it. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!
  23. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Pyare jio, many years ago, at a bangor khalsa camp, during a late night keertan programme. The keertan was very Chardi kala, was many spiritual things were happening. I was right at the back of the hall. Bhai Rama singh ji was sitting next to me, both doing simran with the keertan. There was a bibi in the sangat who was experiencing high bliss, and when into a mild bhairaag. Suddenly a gust blew some side doors open. I was a windy night. I went a shut the doors. The bibi who as in bhairaag suddenly started matta tekking to Guru Maharaj, and fell into a sort of samadhee. The keertan went on in even higher chardi kala. The next day Bhai sahib and myself and I think one other youth were sitting in the langar hall. We began talking about the keertan the night before and how spiritual it was. I asked bhai sahib about the bibi, and why she was matta tekking to the sangat and Guru maharaj and not just Guru Maharaj. Bhai sahib asked, "did you not see them?" I replied, "see who?" he said "the Shaheed faujan". This totally amazed me, I had heard of them before, but did not take them seriously. I enquired Bhai sahib to tell me more. He laughed," if you did not see them, then forget about it". But I did not relent, and after alot of harrassment, Bhai sahib gave up. He said, "The faujan contains Singhs and Singhnian. Both are dressed in Khalsa baana, both wearing blue cholas. Both adorn Dumallas, with khandas, chakras, and wear shasters at their waists. Their faces shine of light, and their eyes sparkle. Both are bare foot with no pyjamas. They are the pe rfect saroop of sons and daughters of Guru Gobind Singh ji.". Bhai sahib said, " they came and listened to the keertan, and sat and held Peradaar in the diwan. The bibi saw them for the first time and did control herself." I continued to pester Bhai sahib to tell me more, and how they look. He said, do abyass and you will witness everything. Then he said they look such and such a singh in Uk. I cannot reveal his name, and he is still doing seva in UK, but it is not had to guess. Usually i do not tell these stories. But as Bhai sahib Rama singh ji, is now beyond, they are just to be helpful. Everyone one of us who spent time with Bhai sahib knew what he was ,and had achieved. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! 24. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Pyare jio, Bibi amarjeet kaur is definately wearing a keski. Generally a keski should be long enough to adequately cover your head and protect it. I have seen generally bibian in India wear small keskis. Young bibian in UK wear proper dastaars and look magnificent. Generally i have seen when young bibian come from canada and India to Uk, they usually adopt the larger style. It is far more secure, safe, and signifies pride in the crown. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!
  25. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! Pyare jio, a few years ago, I had a book which was the life story of Baba Ram singh ji Namdahree. It was a fantastic book. Unfortunately a Gursikh borrowed it from me, and typically I never saw him, and that book again. So forgive me for not giving you an ISBN number. In the back of this book it had copies of Baba Ram Singh ji letters from jail where he was exiled. In his letters he clearly states that the calls for making him a Guru is completely wrong. He wanted the namdarees to be Panthik as he was. It was the British that co-erced its remaining leadership to become a Gurudoom sect. The majority of the proper namdarees was shaheed or exiled. It is a great shame that a fantastic gursikh like Baba Ram Singh jis name is associated with the modern government sponsored Guru doom sect. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!
