  1. Leave or Remain, it genuinely makes no difference. A fast death vs a slightly drawn out one. End result will be the same. They just want people at each other's throats. Left vs Right, Whites vs non-Whites, Religion vs Non-Religious, etc.
  2. The same Sweden that's on course to be a Muslim majority country in the next 50 years? Say it ain't so...
  3. Another post designed to create doubts about Guru Sahib's hukams. A few days ago he was extolling the virtues of wanking off, and today it's cutting kesh. I've observed these trolls for a while now, but I refuse to bite my tongue any longer. Those who gave genuine queries and concerns about Gurbani are easily discernible from those who are attempting to sow seeds of doubt.
  4. It is. And one they refuse to see through a self-imposed haze of misguided morality and self-righteousness. The middle classes will be the end of us all, lol.
  5. I wonder if these goreh (or their descendants) will be begging for the same 100 years into the future when the Shariah Police is beheading civilians in Trafalgar Square, lol?
  6. As I said, most if not all Sikhs function according to their biological and psychological functions. It is a compulsion as well as a choice of sorts (the choice arising from the battle with the 5 thieves). Those who are capable of resisting their "programming" have understood the true lessons imparted to us by Guru Sahibs, yet those voices are not heard as much as they ought to be heard. They're drowned out by individuals with loud voices who've allowed Sikh philosophy to be influenced by non-Sikh thought for various reasons. Some of it is malicious rewriting of history, other times it's a lack of intelligence and a form of moral cowardice not to question those who've distorted teachings through their egos, allowing the times to influence the timeless. In response to your earlier observations, men and women have unique functions that CANNOT be replicated by the other. No amount of wishing or hoping will ever change that. Btw, sikhstudent99 is an undercover Muslim. He's a troll. Most of you are reeled in and taken for fools far too easily. There's a couple more who masquerade as Sikhs on this site, too.
  7. There's a huge disparity between the theory and the actual practiced reality in our faith; you know that. Besides, gender equality is a term that is questionable, because it promotes the idea that erring towards one or the other end of the spectrum is in itself discriminatory, when in fact acknowledging those differences shouldn't be a crime. We know that biologically and psychologically there are huge contrasts between the genders. To live in denial of those differences is foolish IMO. Spiritually, yes, the soul is genderless, but we aren't floating around in our non-corporeal forms.
  8. I was watching a documentary on TV a few years ago about the close ties between Israel and the U.S. (so it wasn't a nutty YouTube video), and it was quite disturbing to see how many American senators believe in the old Biblical prophecies about Israel ushering in the End Days, the destruction of the Middle East, etc. I don't doubt most of the support for Israel from Capitol Hill stems from a cynically strategic and geo-political angle, but underneath the surface a sizeable number of your lawmakers are really joshing for it all to kick off. That's disturbing.
  9. I know I'm quite harsh on them, but I think they're being played big time. I don't for one moment believe they're innocent, or they're victims of a conspiracy, but they're being used as useful idiots to cause mayhem around the world. But they refuse to see it, and they're trying to usher in Islamic Raaj, lol. They are a weapon, but one that cannot be controlled. That is the fundamental mistake that's been made: the assumption that once they've served their purpose they can be sheathed and pushed aside. No, that will not happen.
  10. Lol, that was probably a huge contributor to him not being taken seriously as a potential PM. He could've said no (the Kosher thing), but that just shows you how far politicians will go to get elected. Can you imagine - God forbid - a potential Muslim PM candidate getting co-erced into munching on a bacon sarnie? He'd tell them to eff off.
  11. In response to OP's question, I imagine Punjabi boys don't want a face full of acid from a Muslim girl's male cousins / prospective husbands. It's quite understandable. I hear it's tough to wash out of your hair.
  12. Nah, come election time in the UK, religious credentials are barely mentioned aside from the vague sentiment from a prospective Prime Minister about his Christian values in order to placate the old Church-going biddies down South in the leafy suburbs. Your American politicians really go hell for leather with all that apocalyptic, second-coming stuff.
  13. What I don't get is why Poles (Caucasians, i.e. white) get it in the neck from English racists, too? I'd assume they'd be cool with Poles on account of their white skin, but there's been a few reports about Poles being verbally abused since Brexit. What hope non-Whites, lol? I guess it's the same attitude that use to make the Irish popular targets back in the day.
  14. As a Sikh - male or female - I don't know how anyone say the above. We're supposed to be in a perpetual state of battle readiness. That's not hollow rhetoric, but an essential part of what makes us who we are. Nobody wants to be caught up in nonsense, but if you're walking around with your head in the clouds, then think again.
  15. Goes without saying. We were referring to Muslim hard-men like Hussein, not religious figures.
  16. A lot of this was perfectly understood without being explicitly stated when I was a child. An unspoken etiquette that was just known to all. It didn't need expressing or explaining. A solemn, respectful demeanour in Darbar Sahib. Simple. Another example of the continual erosion of standards and just a complete lack of respect on the part of people these days, which is a reflection of their own lackadaisical approach to their own lives.
  17. Probably as wicked as other men in history with shades of grey who fall foul of those who end up writing the history books, i.e. the victors. Morality is a murky, murky game. Nobody comes up smelling of roses. Nobody.
  18. The upside is, if I may call it that, if some racist does have a go in a physical sense, just fight back. The social and political climate is so incredibly PC that you won't get blamed for it. You can say you feared for your life, etc., and you didn't want to be a victim of a racist attack. The SJW's will jump to your defence, the largely liberal media will champion your cause, job done.
  19. It would depend on what they stood for as Sikhs, and how that intersected with living in this country.
  20. I feel some sympathy for him. Labour want to return to their neo-liberal, New Labour style created by Blair. Corbyn is surrounded by wolves who want to win elections instead of serve the people. Basically career politicians.
  21. I think it'll be embarrassing for Sikhs if it emerges he's actually from a Sikh background. Singhs on social media do tend to get over-excited at times. Then we end up looking a bit foolish when the truth emerges.
  22. It's a tough one. Loyalty to ones cultural and religious group vs loyalty to the community and area that you were born into. Of course, Muslims have no such qualms. There's tonnes of YouTube videos where UK-born Muslims are saying they have no sentimental feelings for their local community and host country; it's all straight-up fealty to Islam. I wish life was as clear cut as that. Must be easier when you don't have a fully functional conscience after years of brainwashing. Obviously, you don't want to go too "Uncle Tom" like, but still, y'know, have a word.
