  1. lol.... hindi=hip ...wonder what punjabi =? .......but was she trying to demonstrate how she ran in the actual situation by running in front of the camera? coz that would be so unrealistic of her lol
  2. loads of people would do it ..... may be its just becoming another norm for justifying wrong behavior :umm:
  3. I ve heard that he also used to do kirtan along with katha.... :nishaan_sahib_right:  I ve heard that he also used to do kirtan along with katha.... :nishaan_sahib_right:
  4. dude its common for every sikh to feel that way...... most ppl have been through while most may be still be struggling to maintain an identity... all we can hope and do is ardass .....coz in such situations one need to be motivated and encouraged to become something unique in a positive way which would have positive impression on others as a result of their struggle..... thas wht makes us SIKHS!!
  5. i dont think so because i think it comes after New York in second place with highest sikh population.... most jersey residents like whites have mixed views about sikhism..... with most educated ones being much more supportive of sikhism whereas the rest dont really know much about sikhism and would tend to confuse it with an afghani identity based community ... again this perpetuated after 9/11 attacks .... it wasnt like tht before those attacks .... thas wt i ve experienced so far..... might be different for different areas in jersey.....
  6. i agree with the previous comments.... mostly because these things are not controlled by humans both biologically and spiritually.... i guess gurbani supports the fact that most last birth karams are intertwined in shaping your physical, spiritual and emotional characteristics... so accordingly may be people around us has something to do with those karams.. but still these things might change too...... likewise its hard to determine a plausible explanation behind this process....

    Getting Rid Of...

dude... i ve read about this in one of my classes... it could be due to some hormonal effects.... but yea .... not a bad idea to give a shot to more exercising and trying to lose some weight..... i know thas more like easy saying and hard doing... but i guess thas one of the ways i could think that could avoid such an effect and plus it would be i guess much better if theres no hormonal cause behind it .... atleast i hope not
  8. as i was little i used to be kinda like phobic to its smell since it resembled to powdered dry fruits used in them... thought them to make me sick lol  .....eventually i got myself more into coffee these days ....wired for 24 hrs a day :D
  9. when are we gona see a different future  ......the social injustice still persist.... m in NJ.... i guess the effect flows through to all of us ....hope coalition guys would make some difference ...although they managed to do well in the past in many cases
  10. yeap thas true.... :TH: .... actually had one few times.... first it felt kinda weird but eventually found it pretty interesting beverage
  11. SHARDAI= NIHANG SOUP....... the perfect beverage for those guys..... I bet they have it every single day
  12. i manage to get one ... and besides its just matter of a night show ......thas all tht matters
  13. i have seen this effect especially amongst the high school kids..... coming to the college as freshmen.... and most above of all... sikh students who have been socialized amongst the worst neighborhoods such "ghettos" over here in the city were found to exhibit most segregation..... whereas those are the people that are really required to be more open and interactive so that they could vent through some of the unpleasant stuff inside them........ :umm:
  14. am always on the history channel though..... especially for UFO documentaries.... fascinates me
  15. but still how could u possibly try to look up for a name with last name as singh or kaur when they use their surname as gill, sidhu or wtever instead.....
  16. LOL... most of classes have been amongst 500 people ... as an example i recently discovered name "randeep gill" in one of my psych classes... i thought him to be a dude ..... so i just said hi dude and watever.... turned she got mad .... lol.... how am i supposed to make a better impression than when i get to see bad timings all the time :6
  17. lol... i like to keep a low profile .... .... but am just wondering is it the same outside US?
  18. I saw many but just happened to talk to a few.... and those few were the only conscious enough people who were concerned about the same issue... the rest didnt even bother to make an eye contact...... <_<
  19. yea i understand that.... i had my shares of skepticisms on tht issue and may be i still do because I think many things talked in the gurbani hasn't much been experienced by common sikhs around the world except for some good amount of gursikhs who have devoted to this cause.... i cant wait for myself to see an alien and a UFO
  20. i dont know much about shardaaee's ingredients but i know tht for sure its popular amongst many nihangs especially on holla mohalla day.....
  21. may be or may be not...we should respect in no matter what gurbani talks about...... take as an instance for so many UFOs being sighted.. science still couldnt find plausible explanations for those events.... gurbani talks about countless worlds beyond earth and this galaxy.....
  22. gurbani talks about them at different points.. say like in rehraas ..... guru nanak dev ji talks about different angels and gods (devtas) praising akal purakh ........
  23. aight heres the thing I know that every single one of us is different in many ways but why wont some sikhs just dont bother to say even hi or hello when they come into eye contact with each other at most colleges and univ. in US.... i dunno the pattern about Canada and UK..... but this is so weird over here..... most univ and colleges have so many segregated groups of sikh students that sometimes its even hard to make out the exact size of sikh student population in the school....and most sikhs in colleges dont want to share the issues that are bothering them such as discrimination .....just wanted to know is the same situation everywhere or its just the New York City effect on most jersey schools and colleges?
  24. well.... then I think its basically based on preferences by different religions who basically imply the same thing that someone would appear and stand up to fight against the darkness and end it all the way through.... as an example the second coming of the Jesus pertaining to the revelation chapter of the Bible.........
  25. hey why are you guys forgetting about ELASTOBABA...... hes the MAN!!........lol... he would make up a heck of member for this group....
