  7. Thats wrong stop talking to her your breaking your own rules Anyways- So you basically classified any girl talking to a boy or vice versa at a kirtan or on msn as someone who is looking for a relationship. Thats stereotypical. I have lots of friends or veerjee's that are guys in sangat and at school. When i talk to them am i thinking "Oh hes would be a good marriage option"- NO. Yes, some people do but you cant stop the world from what they do. I dont understand when people get so caught up with everything around them. FOCUS on your OWN sikhi- If people talk about others; let them. Focus on your own life, your own problems, etc. If you dont want to talk to boys than dont but why do you have to go around preaching to everyone else? Let people live there lives they want too and your your way.. Bull chaak maaph Vjkk Vjkf
  8. Guys, Halloween is and has always been meant for kids. Do you see how happy kids are when they put on their costumes and run outside to get free candy? Its adorable.. :D Anyways, the point is its for kids, they smile, they love it- its all worth it
  9. Vaheguru ji ka khalsa, Vaheguru ji ki fateh Veerjee, coming from a family where sikhi rehit or living a gursikh lifestyle is not preached i know how you feel. Whether you being christian and i being a sikh (who grew up going to the gurdwara, etc) we're fighting the same battle. Some people would say "who cares, just do it"; But then theres a whole other side to just doing it. Your parents are your parents no matter what and its our duty to respect them. So i would say since your starting out try your best to educate them. When they ask you to take off your kara or any other kakaars tell them who Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji was and who were the Panj Piyarey. Its your job to do your homework also which is reading gurbani and contemplating and also researching the history of our ten masters. Love is something highly recognized in the Sikh religion. Always talk to your parents with love and compassion. Dont yell, dont show them your frustrated or feel trapped. If they ask why you do something explain why you do it in the first place. This paath is not an easy one my friend but its a possible one. Have faith in the almighty, stay strong. We're all here for you. Bull chaak maaph. Vaheguru ji ka khalsa, Vaheguru ji ki fateh

  14. Ive been told that wearing all your kakaars and practising doing your baani before you take amrit is a good thing. Not only are you practising to take a big commitment in your life but you are giving yourself an idea of what it will be like when you take amrit I know quite a few people who wear all their kakaars who are practising to take amrit in the future. As said above, being a true amritdhari is no easy job it takes alot of practising and commitment. Bull chaak Maaph Vahegurujikakhalsa Vahegurujikifateh

    Two Kareh

Some people say they were two as if they are handcuffs to their guru-- A reminder. This is what i have heard from others and why they do it.
  20. Gurfateh-- I sat at the corner of my bed with tears gracefully running down my cheek These tears brought a sensation of tranquility to my soul Just as the swan drinks only the sweetness of the drink Where has my companion flown away too? Is it hibernation time? You told me it would not matter. “Come back!” I shriek under my flow of tears “I need you! How will I survive this?” There is no answer I sat at the corner of my bed with tears uneasily running down my cheek The tears brought numbness to my soul “My world has collapsed under this debris of sorrow” I murmur “Only you are causing such wreckage in your life my child” I hear through the soft breeze “For have I left you or have you left me? I have nor destroyed you but only created you. From the time you drank peacefully from your mother’s bosom I was embracing you; did you embrace me? You have only indulged yourself in the world of corruption. For why have you not taken sanctuary in my world, where only greatness resides?” I only felt enough shame to look down into my lap “Well?” he asked... I only felt enough promise to say “Im sorry, please grant me with your grace” He left with a small but sweet smirk on his face “Wait!!!” I shouted He turned around and whispered “no time for waiting, you’ve got to come with me now” “Now?!” “No better time than the present my child” ”Wait; I have to pack my things!” “My child, don’t be a fool the only thing you need is your love.” I sat with him with tears gracefully running down my cheek These tears brought a sensation of tranquility to my soul “How does it feel my child?” He asked ”Never felt better” I said Gurfateh--
  21. Vaheguroo- He is only gone to a much better place than here.
