  1. It's actually the original Khalsa standard. The modern Khanda one is probably a British introduction. You should've left it on wiki. But this does perfectly illustrate how easily apnay can have their perceptions twisted.
  2. I think there is also strong efforts by the Badal family and their cronies in universities in Punjab (as well as those in western unis) to twist Sikh history along caste lines as well. This can/will have major negative consequences in future too.
  3. I think it is more complex than that. Even people from religious backgrounds can fall prey to kaam, which can trap them. Or some people seem naturally gullible and trusting, which is easily exploited by predator types (this can be especially true of people raised in very closeted conservative backgrounds) When young girls are going through puberty and all the changes going on there (physical and psychological) - they can also susceptible to be exploited by people who know what is going on. The groomers have perfected and refined their techniques over decades.
  4. Do these other faiths even have any concept like dharam within their 'religion'? Maybe our Gurus were trying to introduce things they lacked to them - through language/metaphor that they would be able to comprehend if they applied themselves to it - and had nadar? That goes for Gurbani as a whole too - conveying things to us for our own good in metaphor/languages that human minds can maybe grasp - if they have grace and can make the effort?
  5. @AjeetSingh2019 If you are the artist formerly known as AjeetSinghPunjabi. I just refreshed myself on this book after a good few years. I remember you asking about how Sikhi is different from 'Hinduism'. I think this book does a top class job of highlighting that. You might want to give it a go. Start from chapter 7 onwards.
  6. I think they may be doing this to cover up their true nature, but using the holy man like a ...err...handbag?

  8. Don't knock Bhangu's work. He is a big time Sikh historian. His family credentials are solid, and the work is a masterpiece. It's today's simple minded, dualistic thinking brain (influenced by goray) that can't get their head around true unadulterated Sikh historiography like Bhangu's.
  9. We need to hear and factor in this type of stuff too.
  10. I like that strategic thinking....hehehehe Ain't it a shame that two adults can't just talk it our rationally though.... which I know is neigh on impossible between genders in our community. It's still a shame though. Women...Venus, Men mars and all that.....
  11. Daym Singh! You think fobbing the missus off like that isn't going to create further issues! Then, what happens when Ajeet's big 'secret' comes out too.
  12. ^^^ Bringing the fact of mass grooming and sexual abuse on the streets of England out in the open despite persistent anglo attempts to hide the issue for decades should be somewhere on top of the list Ben.
  13. Get this one done and I'll find some more for you after if you want.
  14. Then why do you still post here all the time? Drama QUEEN.
  15. I don't think you are going wrong. People assume roles here on earth - some are demonic (asuras or daints) and some very rare ones are akin to devtay (gods), most fluctuate somewhere in between with a natural tendency towards succumbing to their egos and self-centredness. Then there are clearly a lot of people out there who are on some sociopathic/psychopathic scale, who seem to be cursed neurobiologically to be incapable of conceiving the world around them outside of their own twisted selfish mental constructs which views other people as simply potential tools to manipulate for their own ends, and sometimes just for their own amusement and twisted self-gratification. This inability for empathy and compassion makes them akin to demons. Akaal Ustat (to me) teaches us about all this diversity in human nature, Sikhi also teaches us to protect ourselves and our community (and even the most vulnerable when we are strong enough). I think people have symbolised the shaster/aster aspect of SIkhi so much now (post annexation and under insidious angrez influence) that they actually can't grasp why Guru ji instructed Singhs to have 5 hathiars going on, on a practical real basis outside of some twisted outside introduced notion of symbolism obviously introduced by goray to weaken Singhs and reduce their chances of throwing off colonial rule in Panjab. Understanding human nature and protecting yourself from the more destructive elements of it is part and parcel of Sikhi from what I understand. This includes forces within us and those generated from other people. Even CP heavily broaches the topic of being aware and not getting caught out by deception and your own ignorance.
  16. It just seems to be going around in circles. First SGPC objected to and demolished or destroyed a lot of Indic artwork in Sikh complexes due to the suggestion that this made SIkhs into 'Hindus' somehow (a notion introduced to them by the brits), now they've introduced Buddhist art. What the heck...??!?!?
  17. The thing that shocks me is that we still get apnay saying all this about Indians like apnay aren't and haven't been doing exactly the same. Let's keep it real. I think our lot are some of THE worse when it comes to that mental slavery you talk about. And I'm sure you know that hordes of apnay/apneean would crawl up a gora's gandh and have contempt for most of his own Sikh brothers/sisters. I mean look at how many apnay fought for blighty when they had other apnay actively trying to free Panjab like the Ghaddarites. I seriously hope apnay don't try and jump on some high horse about Hindus or bahmunhs, and blind themselves to the reality of our own lot. Because if they do, WE are the modern day Hindus. At least them cow-worshippers have built up their country again - our lot are still struggle to mentally break out of some medieval feudal-economy mindset by the looks of it.
  18. Don't you think that was the mental state of most apnay pretty soon after the 'annexation'? I'm still shocked that they helped Brits after Jallianwala Bagh in ww2 - only to be thanked by them with partition.... How off the ball were our lot to let all this happen. This looks like a complete breakdown of ANY sort of adult political astuteness on apnay's part.
