  1. Yeah I really don't understand why people are getting married if they can't stick with one person. I think their parents pressure them into it. Looking at the way Punjabi marriages turn out these days, marriage obviously isn't for everyone, perhaps people should take cue from that before deciding to get married. People should just stick to dating tbh ... The first divorce in my family was around 15 years back and my cousins ex wife said that "it was better when we were dating" Before considering marriage people should take a look at themselves in the mirror and be honest, is marriage really for them ...
  2. Remember this guy? Juggy D. He's apparently been arrested for domestic violence. He was in Delhi partying and sleeping with women. When he was back in London his wife went through his phone and read the messages, decided to post them on his social media and he then started beating her up. I'm not surprised he always was a bit of a loose cannon. I remember a few years back he was in rehab for drugs, and when he came out everyone was quite supportive. I know he's a mona and not a practicing Sikh but these days every other person is committing adultery, and it is destructive, I don't understand why people even bother getting married these days? considering he's been married for 11 years, his kids are obviously still in primary school, this will scar them for life. Seems like a lot of women were being passed around, involving some other Punjabi singers like Guru Randawa? Not surprising at all, Its part of the package when you are in showbiz and the entertainment industry, not sure why women marry these men https://www.ghaintpunjab.com/GhaintPunjab/Article/38226/punjabi-singer-juggy-d-arrested-by-london-police-in-domestic-violence-case
  3. Yeah I'm actually very surprised with how its worked. Turmeric is good too, I drink turmeric in water everyday. Tastes repulsive, but its good for you ...
  4. Good luck to this Singh. Aamir Khan seems like a decent bloke, down to earth, though it seems like his wife wear the trousers in the relationship! Muslims are always angry with him, last time they sent him death threats because he put up a Christmas tree in his house.
  5. Raj needs to stop, his parents need to sit him down and have a word with him, maybe take his laptop away? We can't have people like him representing Sikhs, causing problems for no reason. A few years back I decided to watch a video of his and I switched it off like 2 mins into it. People like parcharks from BOS are good.
  6. Yeah we really are messing nature up. Introducing species into countries that they should not exist in. Dodos went extinct because Europeans took dogs there, Dodos had no natural predators so they had no need to fly and were land birds. When the dogs were introduced there they ate all the Dodos! Camels were shipped into Australia from India/Middle East, when the camels were no longer a use they were released into the wild where they had no natural predator and they multiplied and their numbers got out of hand. Birds were natural pesticides in Punjab, they ate the pests on the crops, but as Punjabis continued cutting trees down, destroying forests, wetlands etc the numbers of birds fell in Punjab and the number of pests on crops increased. The wetlands in Punjab used to be a spot where migrating birds would stop and feed before continuing their migration. But with the destruction of forests, human encroachment and fishermen taking all the fish, less and less birds starting stopping in Punjab. The Baaj, national bird of Punjab is now almost extinct in Punjab! We now have wild pigs wondering around in pinds and fields! Plastering the ground around the Gurdware with marble is stupid, they are suffocating the earth. Soil absorbs water, marble does not, thats why you have so many horrible wet muddy foot prints in Gurdware. Look at what they did to the beri at Harmandir sahib by plastering it with marble, it almost died. Covering the soil with material which doesn't absorb rain will only contribute towards floods, especially in places like Punjab, Himachal which has a lot of rain and rivers. Trees prevent floods, they break the water into small streams which disperses the water. The White tiger is actually deformed, they are almost blind and deaf, but zoo keepers are breading deformed white tigers with other white tigers which only produces even more deformed white tigers. These animals are actually suffering! A lot of white tigers have breathing problems. God just needs to blow this whole planet up and just get rid of everyone!
  7. Ok so, I started using this when I posted this question, used it for a few weeks and didn't notice anything! and then ordered CBD oil with a higher percentage, and this stuff is pretty good! I'm actually surprised lol I have this thing like eczema on my leg, its only a small small patch just below my knee and since I started taking this oil its stopped! I've been using various different creams, lotions etc for over 10 years and nothing got rid of it, but since I started using cbd oil its stopped! just like that. secondly I've always had this thing where sunlight, tv/phone screens, light bulbs, central heating etc made my eyes sting and I would start sneezing, it would get really bad that I would have to go to bed because nothing else would cure it. Since I started taking the oil it hasn't happened! I've had both these problems for over 10 years and since I started taking cbd oil they just stopped! Apparently it makes your mood better and makes you feel positive. Recently I've been having some personal problems and troubles, and it has not made me feel more positive or better! so not sure about that one lol but maybe it needs more time. Today I got some cbd tea from Savers and the lady at the checkout said her mum has Parkinson's and she's started taking CBD oil and she feels a lot better. I'm not promoting weed or anything like that! I am not! using that stuff just for the sake of using it is not the Sikh way. But products like cbd do have some health benefits.
  8. Most people are just cultural Sikhs or cultural Christians etc They simply call themselves Sikhs or Christians etc because that just happens to be the religious tradition they are born into! Like you come across a lot of Sikhs who have parents from two different faiths saying that they are "half Hindu and half Sikh" or that they are "half Christian and half Sikh" lol This has been going on for some time now. A very very long tome age when I was In primary school there was a girl and her dad was Muslim while her mum was Sikh and the girl used to say she is "half Muslim and half Sikh" lol! both her parents were non-religious and never attended Mosque or Gurdwara or any religious celebrations, but she still called herself "half Muslim and half Sikh" I'm coming across more and more Atheist Sikhs. They are Atheists but still call themselves Sikhs, they still associate themselves with ithiaas, fire works on Diwali, eating samosas at nagar kirtans etc "religious" people are just like any other people, they just carry a religious tag with them.
  9. Watched Indian movie "Bandit Queen" yesterday, that was a really hard movie to watch! It was about the famous female bandit Phoolan Devi. She was a bandit from Chambal back in the 80s. Chambal had a huge problem with bandits/dakkus back in the 70s/80s. She was like the most wanted woman in India. Her fame had even reached as far as Punjab back in those days. I read her autobiography from the library as a kid when I was around 9 or 10 years old, that book definitely was not for kids! but I found her really fascinating and the whole dakku culture! lol If you're interested the movie is on youtube "bandit queen" the channel DRJ Records Live has the full version with English subtitles. But the movie is only for adults not for kids, it has some very bad language, torture and rape scenes, nudity etc Its a true story.
  10. Who remembers this song? they used to play it at nagar kirtans years ago.
  11. Most Sikhs are cultural Sikhs, they are not practicing Sikhs, which means they Sikhs because their grandparents or ancestors were Sikhs. Much like how every other person in the UK is a Christian yet they never go Church or pray and break most of the commandments. I never understand why people are so surprised when they come across people of "faith" being rude or behaving badly, their just people like any other people. Why is anyone surprised?
  12. Give it to a charity shop? donate it to a church? market? ....
  13. This guy is another one, Amandeep Madra.
  14. I think its a very Indian thing, everyone is either a hero or a villain. Just look at how one dimensional the characters in Indian movies and dramas are. While in Western literature and cinema its not the case. So we ended up doing the same with our historical figures. Some Sikh writers used make Ranjit Singh into some sort of saintly figure! I think living in the west has allowed us to explore our history with an open mind, and not pigeonhole people into "good guy" and "bad guy" and it has given these historical figures a lot character and personality, which I think is a good thing.
  15. Well they set up the find Madeline fund in their daughters name and they used the money to pay their mortgage off ?
  16. They're pedos, even when talking about her they can't hide it. In their book they write how when she went missing they thought about "her perfect little genitals torn apart" those are the actual words they used to describe their daughter! Which parents talks about their child like that? Also the town they went on holiday isn't even an tourist attraction, in fact the town is home to Sigmund Freuds son or grandson, who is a pedophile. They even went around his house while on holiday and they were drinking and making jokes about Madelines mother being a s3x addict.
  17. Her own parents abused her and killed her, they're quite influential people.
  18. The reason everyone is keep on going on about her and debating whether if she should return is because she's a woman. Had she been a man then the debate would have ended a long time back and it would have been decided that he can't return. But because she's a woman, and Western society considers criminal women to be lesser evil than criminal men and the belief that women are aren't capable of being as evil as men, is the reason why the media is going on about this hoe. Had she been an attractive woman wearing some slap the media would have been talking about her even more. When a woman commits a crime or an attractive person, Western society sees it as a lesser evil. Remember that Hispanic guy with blue eyes and women were drooling over his mugshot, many American women really upset and in dismay that he was in prison and were demanding his release, he came out of prison and is a celebrity now, lol! Indian culture is great in the sense that a womans crime is considered just as evil as a mans, theres no debate or PC culture around that.
  19. When it comes to historical figures and empires, for many communities, their future aims/goals are inspired by the past or the past is a reminder of what they're aiming for. Like why do Muslims all over the internet constantly remind Hindus/Indians that they ruled them for '1000 years' now and then they even boast about how Sikhs were persecuted by the Mughals. Many of Pakistans missiles are named after Muslim kings, while one of the biggest tv dramas currently in Pakistan is an Urdu dubbed Turkish drama about the Ottoman empire. Why do Muslims still talk about the caliphates 1000 years later? Its because all if this reminds them of the good old glorious days when they were going around jihad-ing. It's the same with Hindus, why do Hindus go on about Shivaji Maratha and the Maratha empire, including the politicians? So many Hindi movies and tv dramas have been made about Hindu kings and empires in the past 10 years. Its because the Maratha empire replaced the Muslims Kings, which is what Hindus are currently aiming to do, get rid of Muslims from India. And it's the same with us. Ranjit Singhs raj was a time when we were a free people in our own country, which is what we are currently aiming for. I was surprised when a Sri Lankan Buddhist woman told me that in Sri Lanka they learn about Emperor Ashoka and that his history is a part of the curriculum in schools, even though Ashoka had nothing to do with Sri Lanka. Notice how Hindus hardy ever boast about Ashoka, even though he probably is Indias greatest king, they even hardly mention ancient Hindu kings who were far greater and wealthier than the Marathas. These ancient kings existed way before Islam, so their history no longer serves a purpose in what the Hindus are currently trying to establish, that's why its the Marathas that they always bang on about. When it comes to historical Sikh figures, many of them obviously were far from being perfect Sikhs. But it's a bit thoughtless of us to overlook their contributions simply because they weren't good enough Sikhs in our eyes. Like Shaheed Kartar Singh Sarabha cut his hair, should we overlook what he did because of that? Shaheed Udham Singh, who is loved by many Sikhs, he cut his hair, drank alcohol and had many "lady friends" on his travels, should we just judge him and then ditch him because of these things? And forget the fact that he was the sher that assassinated the then governor of Punjab. It's the same with Ranjit Singh. For the first time after decades of genocide we were finally living in our own country as a free people without any fear. We can't just narrow him down to an alcoholic fornicating good for nothing whatever. In that case then there's many Sikhs of the past who the Sikhs of today will look down at because they weren't good enough.
  20. Traditionally Sikhs did shastar pooja on Dusherah and then had mock fights.
  21. Ooh ok, I always thought it was his last photo.
