  1. Even Maharaja Ranjit Singhs palace in Amritsar is under ASI yet it is completely neglected, work has been on standstill for years, neglect and damp in the building has destroyed the frescoes/wall paintings dating back to the Sikh period Banda Singh Bahdur blew most of the city up apart from some mosques and dargahs, There is nothing historical about Sirhind. They never considered themselves Hindustani plus most of them married foreign persian/afghan women. If you read their memoirs they considered their subjects different to themselves. Babur even wrote how Indians are very ugly in his memoirs. Saying their decendents are Indian because they were born in India is like me saying I'm white English because i was born in the UK.
  2. @Not2Cool2Argue Thats some interesting points, i am non amritdhari and come from a non amritdhari family and growing up i got the impression that we don't have to be religious and that religious stuff is only for amritdharis, Its a shame but i think that how a lot pf Punjabi kids are raised many Punjabi parents don'r cut their sons hair and tie patkas from a small age but why don't they do the same with their daughters? why does your average Punjabi parent only reserve uncut hair and head covered for their sons... i live near a khalsa primary school and you see countless little boys with guttis and patkas but not a single little girl. Parents deny their daughters any sort of identity from birth
  3. umm, I think i would tell them to go and get on with their own life! but keep some contact. I asked my Mum what she would do if i come home with a gori and she said she would just tell me to leave and get on with my life and do what i want, she said she wouldn't want anything to do with me then lol If my sister told me she wanted to marry a non Sikh, honestly i wouldn't talk to her anymore! i would be very disappointed, I'm very sure my parents would do the same
  4. haha i guess thats one way of looking at it
  5. What if they still don't listen after you try clearing their doubts on sikhi and what if they keep saying they in love with a non sikh then what are you supposed to do? Disown?
  6. doesn't guru granth sahib ji say that you should dress in a way so that no one looks at you in a wrong way or attract wrong attention? Why is covering your head only reserved for the gurdwara? whats the point flinging it off the second you walk out? what religious identity does the average Punjabi girl have? nothing arent Sikhs supposed to respect their hair/identity and always keep it in a joora ? why don't we see this in your average Punjabi females anymore? isnt this basic stuff
  7. Well that's the thing if you behave like a slapper then your gnna get treated like a slapper! but obviously in todays politically correct society you can't say things like that, but its the truth. Obviously many innocent girls who are ignorant to what guys are capable of doing end up getting taken advantage off, thats different. If you dress like a tart, get drunk, have casual sex, then why are you surprised when someone treats you like crap and takes advantage! why do they do this in the first place? and then people wounder why punjabi women are considered "easy going" Some self respect and discipline can take you a long way

yes your right! i just googled ringed doves lol yeah we have a couple that recently started visiting. wow i really didn't think we would get doves visiting. We don't get much apart from the usual little black birds, pigeons, magpies, crows, sometimes seagulls, basically the usual stuff you would find in a run down town lol. we also have had some unwelcome visitors too! not far from my house is a old dirty canal which is infested with these "unwelcome visitors" lol at night iv seen things like foxes and hedgehogs, not in my garden though obviously. we have A LOT of stray cats on our street, iv fed them a few times but my mum doesn't like them haha! we once had a stray cat give kittens in the back room in our garden.

haha yes my bedroom faces the garden so first thing in the morning i can hear is chirping/tweeting and their feet tapping on this plastic/glass veranda thing we have in our garden. Recently we have this pair maybe a couple? visiting our garden, they look like pigeons but are smaller and prettier lol! they are a greyish brownish colour and have a black ring pattern around their necks. We don't get robins i guess its because we live in a old run down town lol but we do get a squirrel running around on the roofs, once it came down to our garden plucked a flower and ran off with it lol! Im actually happy that i don't eat meat/eggs regardless of what anyone says

We feed birds in our garden lol! because we have been doing it for such a long time sometimes the birds are waiting in our garden in the morning haha
  11. Well the question is why are Sikh women easy targets? If we try to get into the groomers mind, what do they think of Sikh women? what makes them think Sikh women are easy targets? and why are they such easy targets. They say the groomers give them money, clothes, jewelry, well why do Sikh women get easily infatuated with some cash thrown at them? Many Sikh women have their drinks spiked in clubs and then end up getting raped, question is What is a semi naked Sikh woman doing in a club with drinks in the first place? obviously in todays time in this country there is absolutely nothing wrong with women being semi naked and getting drunk in clubs but is that Ok for someone who calls herself a Sikh? In same cases Sikh women end up getting black mailed after having one night stands. They have casual sex and then next minute guys start black mailing them, there have been many of these cases at universities. At my school Sikhs were a tiny minority but the few Sikh females there were they used to smoke out side school gates, sneak alcohol into school etc one Punjabi girl made a video of herself sticking a toilet brush up her private parts in the school toilets, and then sent it to Paki boys from another school, she then was bullied. There was another case of a Punjabi girl in our school who was going out with a paki, he then started saying to her that if she doesn't send him a selfie of her breast he's then gnna tell her parents that shes with a paki, so she took a pic of her breast and sent it to him and then next minute everyone had it on their phones, even i saw it! She didn't learn and few years later was engaged to a Pakistani If you take these things into perspective then you can get an idea of why people from other communities see Punjabi women as "easy" Yes many innocent girls get groomed but many get groomed because they behave like trash in the first place and become easier to take advantage off ... I feel sorry for them, its terrible what they go through, but i aint gnna defend trashy behavior ...
  12. http://www.gurmatveechar.com/books/Puratan.Sarbloh.Granth.Saroop.(GurmatVeechar.com).pdf I found this online, don't know if its what your looking for ...
  13. I'm sure guru ji was upset when the sahibzade and other singhs were killed, he was their father so why would he be emotionless! The gurus themselves were love! So why wouldn't they feel hurt when a loved one was killed? Zafarnamah imo is full of a lot of emotion! Maybe I'm wrong ...
  14. Islamaphobia is a fake made up word that doesn't make sense. Being critical of something doesnt mean you have a phobia of it! If I criticize the hindu caste system does that mean I am a hindu phobia? If I find the azaan, muslim call to prayer, annoying and nasal does that mean I'm a Islam phobe? I find it very annoying when jehovah's witnesses are banging on my door first thing in the morning but that doesn't mean I have a phobia! Muslims label anyone who criticizes or dislikes Islam as a islamaphobia
  15. Yeah, i think its a issue deeply routed in their culture! i went to a school which was predominately Pakistani and the paki guys would use very derogatory Punabi words when talking about their own girls. In fact when i started that school we all were 10/11 years old and already the paki boys would use disgusting Punjabi slang words! i had no idea what any of them meant and i would come home and ask my mum what this word ....... means! and my mum would just say that its a very rude word and don't ever say it again. Why 10/11 years old boys even knew those words i dont know! clearly their dads/mums use those words thats how they learnt them. Many of the guys also used to watch Pakistani mujras as well. so i think it just stems off from their culture. This mirpuri girl i knew told me her dad watches mujras
  16. I'm surprised they do that to their own women as well, because they are from the same community not many people probably see it as grooming.
  17. These Mughal buildings, how many Indian slaves were used to build them? how many of them had their hands cut off? How many Indians were harassed by Mughal tax collectors? disgusting. their very buildings represent the blood and slaughter of million of Indians, and what does the government decide to do? protect them and give them special heritage titles
  18. Well thats the thing why are buildings built by foreigners, who invaded our land and slaughtered our people for centuries, why is their heritage prioritized over our own heritage. Why is their heritage even celebrated and protected? Absolutely disgusting. Their buildings should be demolished, the Mughals lost power centuries ago and their buildings should of gone with them centuries back as well. The British had built a ugly gothic clock tower on the parikarama of Harmandir sahib, when given the chance the first thing Sikhs did was demolish that tower, the same should of been done with the Mughals buildings. Mughals were no different to the British. Both were foreign invaders who took our land and wealth and made the indigenous people of India into slaves. Banda Singh Bahadur blew up all their buildings in Sirhind.
  19. well you said i have a unhealthy and skewed understanding of history so i thought there is something wrong in what i posted about the Mughals and destruction of Hindu structures. I am fully aware of Sikh heritage being destroyed by Sikhs, thats what happens when you get uneducated village babeh and appoint them to "restore" old heritage buildings, they demolish them and replace them with massive marble forts.
  20. Though most of it has been destroyed(I'm thinking of doing a post on that) there is still some mostly from the Sikh empire period that still remains. Much of Amritsar was developed during the Sikh empire and old Amritsar is full of old havelis, gurdwareh and other structures Here is a image of a baradari constructed by Guru Angad Dev ji at Khadur sahib, isn't that amazing ... plus according to the article its been repaired as well
  21. I'm surprised how one of the guys said how they have saved countless Muslims girls too!
  22. I live in the UK and British media here doesn't promote Ganesh pooja
