  1. bhai gurdas jis varan The butcher slaughters the goat; salts the meat and strings it on a skewer. While being killed the goat laughingly says: I have come to this condition for grazing only coarse leaves of arid wild plants. What will be the plight of those who cutting the throat with a knife eat the flesh of animals? The perverted taste of the tongue is harmful for the teeth and damages the mouth. The one who eyes another’s wealth or body or slanders becomes a poisonous Amphisbaena. This snake is controlled by the Guru's mantra but the Guru-less manmukh never listens to this glorious mantra. The Manmukh blindly moves ahead, never realizing the approaching deep pit ahead! (note: Amphisbaena is a mythical serpent having a head at each end of its body.) Vaar 37 Pauri 21 Lion catches a goat; As the goat is dying, it begins to laugh. In awe the lion asks, why are you laughing? Humbly the goat says: Our sons are destroyed (castrated). We only eat wild plants and suffer being slayed & skinned alive. Those who cut our throats and eat our flesh, what will be their plight? Proud and arrogant their bodies are a waste; inedible and fruitless. All who come to the world will eventually die. Vaar 25 Pauri 17
  2. Meat is nasty anyway, your basically eating something which pissed, shitted, had sex, carried lice, had illnesses and was a living walking thing
  3. then why does Guru Granth Sahib ji tell us not to eat meat? O human being, whatever you can see with your eyes, shall perish. The world eats dead carcasses, living by neglect and greed. ((Pause)) Like a goblin, or a beast, they kill and eat the forbidden carcasses of meat. So control your urges, or else you will be seized by the Lord, and thrown into the tortures of hell In this Dark Age of Kali Yuga, people have faces like dogs; they eat rotting carcasses for food. They bark and speak, telling only lies; all thought of righteousness has left them.
  4. I give money to Sikligars through the British Sikh council... are they any good or are they just like Khalsa Aid? My sister brought home leaflets from the gurdwara a few months back, one was Khalsa Aid and the other British Sikh council. I remember flicking through the Khalsa Aid and thinking that these Muslims are getting help from Muslims all around the globe so why are Sikhs getting so huffed and puffed and flying over to syria etc. I even know some pakis who live down my road and they flew to Palestine to help them. British Sikh council on the other hand focused more on Sikligars and helping poor sikhs and giving their kids education teaching poor Sikhs girls sewing so they can work in factories etc
  5. I have the amarnama at home in English but I haven't read it. The dhadi singh was an eyewitness of guru ji and Banda singh bahadur
  6. I understand what people are saying concerning Khalsa Aid and how they are giving money to Muslims. The Slough mosque alone raised £126.000 for the rohingya muslim community and sent many volunteers over. Now this is one town (slough) in the UK alone, now imagine how much £££ was raised by Islamic charities in the whole of the UK ? Its so stupid of Sikhs to go over to rohingyas and give them money when Islamic charity is already going over to them from all over the globe. Now who is helping Sikhs though? Sikhs are flying out to islamic countries when their own people are suffering in places like Afghanistan, and then there's our sikhlighar brothers who get treated like trash by brahmins in places like madya pradesh. Its actually very frustrating! makes your blood boil. Who ignores the plight of his own people and decides to help people who millions around the world are already helping.
  7. What is the SGPC and SAD doing right now? Badal, Makkar and other prominent Sikh leaders? All the wealthy Sikh politicians in Punjab where are they now? considering their close proximity to Afghanistan
  8. I don't understand why European countries are letting in floods of muslims when minorities in muslims countries are suffering a lot more. A Pakistani Christian lady who works with my mum said that the biggest mistake her family made was not migrating to india in 1947, She said Pakistan is hell for Christians
  9. Thats great, you've worked hard and got the results, Im skinny and used to eat a lot of rubbish like sweets, chocolate, crisp etc but it never really showed because im just skinny lol, but since the last 3 weeks iv been mostly eating fruit and mango/orange juice, no crisp. sweets etc. i need to cut down on the red bull though, i think im addicted to it, i have a can or two everyday! I have fat relatives and i tell them that they are fat.
  10. I don't know how true it is but this Shia muslim girl at work told me that in the Sikh mohala in lahore they have security/army there in case someone decides to attack them. she said the Sikh are is guarded, if thats true then that is no way of living ...
  11. Yeah there is a painting of her done by some gorah while she was in the UK. Think it was painted a few months before she died. From the painting you can tell that she must of been a very beautiful woman when she was young. Would of been great if we had a photo of her, she was a great personality and the British hated her. I read how the british dragged her across the floor out of the Lahore darbar by her hair while she was screaming for duleep singh. The painting of Maharaja sher singh was painted by some European artist but it was done once he returned to his own country and not while sher singh was sitting in front of him. Sher singh was crap! Got to friendly with the goreh and became addicted to opium. He's hugely responsible for the downfall too
  12. This is very sad, they should leave the country it's not safe for them. In Afghanistan sikhs and Hindus are not even allowed to cremate.
  13. would be a good idea if they make one. There needs to be clear distinction between Punjabi matrimonial and sikh matrimonial, right know its all jumbled up and looks like a mess. I was going through the profiles for my cousin and i saw all sorts of things on these Sikh/Punjabi matrimonial sites haha! profile pics with buddis wearing little skirts, castes, skin colour, wanting someone with particular degrees and qualifications etc apparently lawyers only want to marry lawyers, doctors only want to marry doctors, and dentists only want to marry dentists, i mean what happens if you end up marrying someone from a different profession lol? i never understood this
  14. Im surprised there is no photo of Maharani Jind Kaur. She even lived in the UK for a bit and there are several photos of Maharaja Duleep Singh but no photos of her. Maharaja Sher Singh was friends with the goreh and no photo of him either. The earliest photos of Amrtisar are around 1840 i think.
  15. I have a question about Guru Gobind Singh ji too! i remember listening to katha at the gurdwara and it was about some pathan soldier who got attracted to a young married Brahmin lady and kidnapped her. Her husband then came running to Guru Ji and narrated the incident, Guru ji then told his Singhs to go and find the pathan and bring him, once the pathan was found Guru ji told the Singhs that the punishment for the pathan for kidnapping and going with another persons wife was death so Guru ji ordered the Singhs to tie the pathan to a tree and told his Singhs to fire arrows at him. Im not questioning what Guru ji ordered but im just wondering has anyone else ever heard this story? because that was the first time i ever heard it lol

I don't think theres anything wrong with that, I mean everyone wants to look nice. What about all the young Singhs that wear all those Nike, Adidas hoodies and trainers and branded clothes etc they obviously wear them to look nice. Iv seen some old paintings of nihungs and their wives are wearing jewelry
  17. Kushwant Singh in his book said that some of the Sikh sardars and misls leaders used to drink heavily and also had courtesans and nachan waliya in their courts! Don't know how true that is but i think Sikhs perhaps became a bit to materialist during our raj? especially the rich. The misl period was also apparently harsh towards the muslims. Was the Sikh raj of Punjab really Khalsa raj? I mean Ranjit singh did kill and destroy while taking Punjab over but then again he only killed foreigners and invaders and took back what was ours. But then there was the whole alcohol, opium, nachan waliya, jewels. etc Also the Sikh empire had boundaries while Khalsa obviously has no boundaries but is also a mindset and lifestyle and dedication to guru ji. But he was definitely influenced by Sikhi too, many gurdwareh were constructed by him including Hazur sahib and he did a lot for the poor and was loved by most people in Punjab. I remember reading somwhere that akali nihungs never really liked him though and the feelings were mutual?
  18. Ok i understand, its including guru ji in an important event in your life
  19. Does anyone know what happened to the sarovar at Hazur Sahib? it was there back in 2003 but in 2018 its not there

Can you see the hand with the finger pointing down in the corner of these facades in Amritsar, they were a symbol of keeping your ego low and down

I agree with that, They also are destroying priceless artwork by drilling holes into the wall. Harmandir sahib is one of the few places we have left which is dated back to the Sikh empire and the SGPC are still destroying it. Historical buildings are important as they are part of our heritage and history. The artwork in Harmandir sahib is a reflection of the time when we were kings and ruling the whole of Punjab. Historical buildings are a part of our story and journey as Sikhs. These old buildings have a story to tell...
