Yeah a lot of Islamic countries were becoming secular but then i think saudia arabia started sending money to muslim countries. One should not marry women whose names are similar to constellations, trees, rivers, those from a low caste, mountains, birds, snakes, slaves or those whose names inspires terror. 6. “Yasto na bhavet ….. …..” – 3/10. Wise men should not marry women who do not have a brother and whose parents are not socially well known. 7. “Uchayangh…………….” – 3/11. Men may be lacking virtue, be sexual perverts, immoral and devoid of any good qualities, and yet women must constantly worship and serve their husbands. 20. “Na ast strinam………..” – 5/158. Women have no divine right to perform any religious ritual, nor make vows or observe a fast. Her only duty is to obey and please her husband and she will for that reason alone be exalted in heaven. 21. “Kamam to………………” – 5/160. At her pleasure [after the death of her husband], let her emaciate her body by living only on pure flowers, roots of vegetables and fruits. She must not even mention the name of any other men after her husband has died. 22. “Vyabhacharay…………” – 5/167. Any women violating duty and code of conduct towards her husband, is disgraced and becomes a patient of leprosy. After death, she enters womb of Jackal. 23. “Kanyam bhajanti……..” – 8/364. In case women enjoy sex with a man from a higher caste, the act is not punishable. But on the contrary, if women enjoy sex with lower caste men, she is to be punished and kept in isolation. 24. “Utmam sevmansto…….” – 8/365. In case a man from a lower caste enjoys sex with a woman from a higher caste, the person in question is to be awarded the death sentence. He who is appointed to cohabit with a widow shall approach her at night, be anointed with clarified butter and silently beget one son, but by no means a second one. 36. “Yatha vidy……………..” – 9/70. But at least Christians have changed, Muslims can learn from them ... Sikhs in India have no interest sadly. Gurdwareh are empty! no sangat at all! yet places like Dargahs are buzzing with crowds. I remember when i went India in December every Sunday this local "jaggah" dedicated so some hindu holly man used to have 100s of people within the complex, at least 50 people standing in the que to get inside at all times, musicians singing, stalls selling popcorn etc.yet the local gurdwareh on every Sunday at Rehras Sahib time used to have like 2 people sitting there! You really do feel hurt when you see things like that. Its like people have no faith in Guru ji at all but have faith in Shrines dedicated to dead people. Another trend i noticed was is getting a kara made with your own name carved in it! Thats how far people have got from Sikhi there

Well according to the genesis some of the prophets were related, like Abraham had two sons Isaac and Ismael, isaacs son was jacob and jacobs son was joseph etc also mohammed was a descendant of abrahams second son Ishmael. I agree that the torah comes across like a story book, in fact none of the Abrahamic texts were ever written by any of the Abrahamic prophets. But isn't the Abrahamic god the same as the "Indian" god ? Guru Granth sahib says Ram and Raheem are the same. The abrahamic prophets were not perfect, far from it if we read the bible, but Sikhi does not deny them being messengers of god. If i remember correctly the muslim prophet is mentioned in sri dasam granth ji in bachittar natak as gods beloved but he ended up making people chant his name along with gods. I think he is also mentioned in bhai gurdas jis vaarns. So Sikhi acknowledges that these prophets did exist and were sent by god. But obviously they were far from perfect as they were just humans. Also remember that Jews do not believe that non jews go to hell like Muslims and Christians do. Some rabbis even say god is everywhere and many jews believe in reincarnation too. They must only believe this if all this was revealed to them through god ...

But at the same time i have come across many Hindus in Doaba who do paath and go gurdwara. My nanke in India are family friends with this Arora family and they always keep paath at their house before any big event, also the lady who works for my nanke is also a hindu from a arora family and she told me she does japji sahib in the morning, her son recently went to Hazur Sahib too. so many People in Punjab are close to Sikhi but we have corrupt leaders who are just not letting it blossom ?

Most Sikhs have got nothing against Hindus! us Sikhs and Hindus have had a beautiful brotherly relationship throughout the centuries. Yes there have been a few Hindus in history who have betrayed us, but that was mostly out of greed, like the hill rajas who sided with the mughals or gangu etc these Hindus did what they did for extra £££ and a pat on the back from their Mughal masters. The mass common Hindus have remained kind to us. In fact Sikhs and Hindus have been more close than any other two religions ever have. If there is one religion which has never threatened Hindus then that is Sikhs. Mughal muslims and the Christian British Empire tried to completely destroy Hindus and Hindu culture, the Sikh empire on the other hand embraced Hindus and gave them high ranking positions but then obviously power and greed got to their heads and they betrayed Sikhs for a bit of cash and land.
