this is a problem within the community of course. the vast majority of you will come up with different ideas to justify this practice but the true reality is...this happens cuz amritdaris are considered primary over non amritdaris simply cuz they are amritdari. Dont worry guys, its not a practice authorized from SGGS, its followers that like to make up their own ideas. i remember when i cudnt get prasad until all the amritdaris recieved it first.

nothing wrong with visiting the mandir...but no one could really force you to bow before the idols or what not. just go...it could be a good learning experince for you. Think of it like this...if guru nanak was invited to the mandir, would he refuse? NO! but im sure he would refuse to bow and do rituals and what not.
