Do one thing, When you do your Nitnem. Focus on what you are reading. And when you sit back and close your eyes, don't CHANT waheguru when you don't feel like it, rather relate the baani you read in your NITNEM to your daily life and see if you are actually looking Gurmat life or if you're just pretending like living it. Cuz only doing Nitnem is not Gurmat. Only Applying it to your life is Gurmat. Hope that helps

Amrit is that we take everyday, it cant be taken once and you say now i've taken amrit for whole my life after all guru sahib says BAANI GURU, GURU hai BAANI, vich BAANI amrit SAARE. KHANDE DI PAHUL IS more like OATH TAKING ceramony that Soldiers take before joining army that they'll follow and protect this boundaries NO MATTER WHAT.
