you are right, but i could argue with you now, and forever and we cud even fight and knock each other out. but what we should do is put our differences aside for now, and do naam simrin, do more japji sahib paath and read more bani, then when we do that we will realise who is right as guru ji shows us both the path. if i dont even do naam simran or nitnem and dont go to the guruwdata, whats the point of me arguing with you whether its kesh or keshki, because im not worth to represent anyones veiw.............we could be doing more rather than staying at one point and not progressing, see where im going? hope i didnt confuse you loll Well said!

phaji i understand when u talk of shaarda......but regardless of that one way way is still right and all the others are rong when Bhagat Dhanna Ji prayed day and nite to a stone thinking that God was only in that stone.....the stone spoke back to him and told him that "u are rite, i am God in this stone but everything els u see is also me" his undoubted shaarda in that stone being God paid off and then God told him of the right way what im trying to get at is even though u can have full faith...ther is still only one tru way! ther is stil only one tru rehit, one tru mool mantar etc ......hopefully one day we can all have enough faith that God and Guru will put us right and tell us the truth!

i dont understand this "accept what others think" philosophy within sikhi i understand we need to respect other faiths etc.......but we shouldnt accept it when people change our relgion. like i said one way is right and one way is wrong......i.e kesh as kakkar or keski only one can be THE REAL rehit....not both!

1st things 1st .......theres shouldnt be any comprimise when it comes to rehit/amrit/bani etc but unfortunatley in this day and age ther is.........thers the right way or the highway the obvious fact - One way is right and One way is wrong ........if u feel your way is right i think u shud have the right to fight it out and oppose the others as there should never be any comprimise when it comes to these sorts of things........because one day all the little things that change will lead to a big change. people say keep ekta in the panth.....dont get me rong - which is a good thing.......but what sacrifces and comprimises are we willing to make....... the next thing u know - one khalsa will belive something totally different to the next but yet will still be called a khalsa.....wheres the ekta in that??? bhul chuk maaf

just a few of my opinions on bibek...... we shoud try and keep bibek IF we can there isnt one person out there that fully keeps every rehit so we shouldnt look down on those that dont keep bibek and hurt the feelings of those who are trying to do our seva by giving us food its tru that the food we cook from was probly originally prepared by next people in factories or farms unless u grew it urself which is doubtful!! are ur hands better than the hands of the other people who cook ur food??? Isnt the food in the langar still not guru ka langar.....rejection of guru ka langer??? why sit in the langar hall and allow chances to reject langar if your not gna eat it anyway? a tru bibekee wouldnt have anyone know that he/she is bibekee and wouldnt even allow for a chance to reject food and hurt sum1s feelings and if they did have to reject food they would never say its becoz im bibek.....out of pure humbleness! try to keep bibek if u can as it is rehit.......and if u do dont let it create ego - coz thats what i always tend to see in bibekees, the tru bibekees dnt let any1 know they out of nimrata! bhul chuk maaf

i no this guy.....who said hes gonna take amrit in december at akj smagam, i asked him if he was ready to take it now and he sed yeah......so i said to him what if u die before december??!?? he was lost 4 words!!! amrit is amrit, which ever jatha organise it....its stil from the same guru and panj pyare! but sum people dont realise that!!!

without dhaya u dont get dharam, himmat, mokham or sahib dhaya (humbleness) is the first step to everything in sikhi and i dont see any of that here! u need to see my point and not see me trying to criticise! dont get me rong - there are sum wanabee sants out there that do abuse the name "sant" but there are sum out there that do so much for the panth but everyone puts them in the same category and tries there upmost to tarnish thier names! - which is so sad!

iv realised one thing in my life as a sikh......and that is that we will never fully understand sants unless we are sants ourselves.....due to the main fact that they are on another level to the rest of us........thers so many things we just assume about sants......most of the time "bad assumptions" ...... and iv realised this happens because we can never comprehend the power and kamaee these souls have! how can we understand those who have done countless years of naam simran.....without doing it ourselves.

im afriad your right.....whether any1 wants to admint it or not.........belonging to any jatha leads to many sikhs having clouded, onsided views on a lot of aspects within sikhi! we tend to look at the jatha or group that the sikh belongs to 1st rather than just seeing them as a brother or sister. its a shame....coz i think we all doit one way or another......maybe theres somethin we can all learn from this thread. fateh

waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki fateh i am currently trying to get a meeting sorted out with jathedar vedanti...hopefully if all goes well, we hope to ask some questions to jathedar ji. i wondering if there are specific questions that anybody has. but please remeber that, even though jathedar has a number of things to answer for, he is still our jathedar. and he still holds the position, so we should question him, but question him with a litlle bit of respect. so pleease can the question be worded in such a way that he feels insulted, and refuses to answer. i remember a few years back, when the youth questioned him at smethick, but he soon disapeard. we need answers, and answers dont come by throwing insults. these people are politicans, and however much we dispise them, we must still try and get certain things done through them. the main issue i wanted to raise with him was guru granth sahib ji's beadbi. in particular chattar singh jeevan singh. any resposes will be gratefully appreciated. waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji ki faeh!!

was speaking to some elderly singhs from Afganistan a while back and they were telling me that to this day people in afganistan still fear the name of Sardar Hari Singh Nalwa he said afgani women still use the name of Hari Singh Nalwa - "Haria" to scare their children when they are doing something wrong!!!
