  1. Why don't u guys post ur responses on you tube itself?
  2. That's true but i m talking abt entering gurdwara sahib. Is topi a symbol of respect?
  3. Hats off to Sardar Mann who at this old age is still no short of enthusiasm determination and guts. And how shameful of badal that for his own vendetta his is meting out such harsh treatement at sikhs especially not even caring about old or young...... if this aint mental and physical torture then what it is??? It's so hot in panjab and these ppl have been put in filthy cells when badal rests in his chandigarh mansion or chills at his balasar farmhouse . And more shameful for us that we can't do anything in this matter. How will people come forward and join the sikh movements if they are not gonna be cared and supported by their own people. We have already badly failed the families of the shaheeds of khalistani movement and now we can't even stand up for those who are continuing this movement when there is very little support. Shame for everyone who calls himself/herself a panthic sikh. I am really disgusted at my inabilty to do nothing. All of u Plz do an ardas We really need our own media at least our own paper. What's the use of so much money that sikhs have earned in foreign lands if they can't use it properly for panthic causes at the time when brahmanical govt is committing an ideological genocide of sikh nation. Can't we youth stand up and collect donations for starting a press in panjab for a panthic daily or maybe in collaboration with panthic weekly online paper and convert it into a daily which i'm sure will wake up panjabis from a never ending slumber.
  4. I m not sure if wearing topis to cover heads in the gurdwara sahib is ok. We as teenagers were never allowed to go in gurughars wiv topis or hoodies.
  5. I was also gonna go yest wiv ma mate buh cancelled at the last moment and postponed it till saturday. Did u watch the Henman match or some other one? BTW these days there is turban presence in wimbledon as well i've seen it in two matches where there were turbaned sikh spectators. Who knows tommorow we might see turban presence on courts as well. Anyways, on to the topic, a very well done for taking a stand and dealing with the situation amicably. At least u taught that ignorant lady about sikhs and their right to wear kirpan. One thing that u particularly in ur complaint and we all generally can do is to write a letter or an email to authorities telling them to address their staff as well as their security firm which is G4S (group 4 securicor) about the law regarding the kirpan so that sikhs are not harrased in future. Their security has been tightened after a journalist in 2005 wimbledon exposed the security lapse and went into players area and other high profile areas wiv a fake id. It was made a big issue after the organisers were taken a dig at in the papers.
  6. BULLDOZERWARGASINGH not only you are right but you also have been proved so in regards to your above statement as some brahminacal brother of jealous nature who might have infilitrated this forum has read this article and has very nicely placed those words back terming sikhs of loose character after SARPACH veer edited them and i also did a lot of editing by palcing guru arjan devji's connection wiv lahore and also adding shaheed bhaagat singh's hanging etc. And in addition to that the bra-man also gave proof of his identity by terming sikhs as hindu and also adding some somnath mandir shyt and also a lot of false crap dat when maharaja ranjit singh died he had bhagvad gita placed on his chest. Apart from being false how foolish that satement is....how can a dead person command someone to place a book on his chest? For the meantime i m not editing it coz u guys can have a look and i'll edit it later but sorry for dat bra-man dude better luck next time. And also a bad news for u i m making an account on wikipedia so i'll be monitoring sikhi related articles regularly to keep them clean of your filth and lies. For he moment go drink your divine cow pi$$ u loser.
  7. Done edited it :TH: was easy you just click edit, you don't even have to join Wikipedia I've done my bit as well. Added a bit of info as well, trying to fit in Guru arjan devji's shaheedi as well.
  8. I know........i've had conversations wiv muslims many time over mughal rule etc and they say "your ranjit singh did so much destruction of lahore, killed ppl, destroyed forts and buildings etc". Its surprising how easily they reject the tyrannical era of mughals especially aurangzeb and say "oh he was so pious and he even use to sew caps and teach islam to his grandchildren blah blah".
  9. What are the contents of those leaflets? Are they agressive or inciting hatred? or are they like "come to islam- the religion of peace" blah blah
  10. The saudis have a bigger agenda. They preach the extreme form of islam "wahhabi" islam. Most of the extremist preachers who advocate killing non muslims are a product of the university in saudi (cant remember the name). I think the documentaries have done enough work to expose the saudi link with extremism. And why should fascists take it for guaranted to build lavish mosques and that also for preaching the filth that they believe in when they don't let other religious places to exist on their land, having no respect whatsoever for other faiths and want to eliminate all non muslims labelling them as 'kuffar' or 'kafirs'.
  11. Can our sikh leaders plz wake up and take time to condemn and fight the evils creeping into the sikh comunity. Here's a new low that we have just touched. A matter of shame for all of us. http://www.punjabnewsline.com/content/view/4606/38/ Punjab has its first Sikh lesbian marriage Punjab Newsline Network Tuesday, 19 June 2007 AMRITSAR: Two Sikh girls of a border town of Punjab have repeated the history of two lesbian girls Raju and Mala of Amritsar, infamous for soleminising Punjab's first lesbian marriage. Baljit Kaur and Rajwinder Kaur of Batala town of Gurdaspur distirct have however became first Sikh girls of Punjab to eprform the lesbian marraige. They on Tuesday came to Golden Temple here to seek blessings. They had no regrets and no worry of the social stigma on they will carry for rest of their life. " we do not care. We love each other and will die for each other'', they told media. The Raju-Mala marriage had broken after few months when Mala fell in love with a boy few months after their marriage. Baljit and Rajwinder are running for shelter since families of both of them are aafter their blood. They belonged to Jat Sikh families where honour killings are common. Interestingly, the female sex ratio in Punjab is falling over the years due to foeticide and lesbian marriage has stirred anew controversy. Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Joginder Singh Vedanti has condemned lesbian marriages in Sikh religion. Baljit appeard before meida dressed as boy with black goggles and Rajwinder, wearing salwar-kameez and `churrah' (wedding bangles) rubbed shoulders with her sould mate. They were frank to tell that both of them do not like boys. ``Boys are cheaters and we girls trust each other''. They said that they had see anought of male dominated world and now want to live their own life. Baljit, 21, and Rajwinder, 20, are educated till 10+2 had eloped from home two week ago. ``We stayed at a friend's house at Morinda and then went to Katra in Jammu and Kashmir and Vaishno Devi where, after paying obeisance, we married with help of an Army officer Kuldeep Raj'', Baljit explained. ``We have demanded security as our family members have threatened to kill us'', said Baljit. She said that it was second time that she had fallen in love with a girl. The first love remained unsuccessful, she added. She said that they would soon approach court for security. Baljit said Rajwinder met at job placement office where later had come to search for the job. ``We are distant relatives also. When I saw her first I felt like touching her'', said Baljit. When reminded of Akal Takht `Hukamnama' (edict) denouncing the single sex marriages, they said they do not care and just want the religious leaders and society to let them live together and live their life. ``We have visited Golden Temple and prayed to God for our well-being and successful marriage. They would like to adopt a child, if law permitted, they added.
  12. I wanted some information abt Lahore so checked wikipedia and found these lines objectionable, offensive and misleading : "The 1740s were years of chaos and between 1745 and 1756 there were nine changes of governors.[citation needed] Invasions and chaos in local government allowed bands of warring Sikhs to gain control in some areas. Lahore ended up being ruled by a triumvirate of Sikhs of loose character and the population of the city invited Ranjit Singh to invade.[citation needed] He took the city in 1799 and became the ruler of Lahore." Can someone plz edit the topic and also put some more information about sikhs' links with lahore like shaheedi of Guru Arjan Dev Sahib Ji and kingdom of Sher-e-panjab Maharaja Ranjit Singh Ji. Here's the link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lahore Bhul Chuk Muaff Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh
  13. You know honestly I can tell you have no idea what she is about or have much of a clue what her intentions are and nor have you truly heard her speak. But you are free to and are more than welcome to place her in your money making, fake, brahmanwaad spreading, having no right to speak on Sikhi, who have nothing better to do but go hunting for Chelas, making Deras, so they can get some High from praise and money basket. That is your God given freedom of thought and opinion. God bless my veer ji, may He bless us both with greater understanding and wisdom. Honestly i have no idea of her intentions but i have heard her speak numerous times. Her discourses, japji sahib vyakha is played on punjabi radio and her hindi discourses are played on astha channel. I find her a different person on radio from what i see her on t.v. She seems totally sikh while doing japji sahib vyakhya and a hindu sadhvi or propogating brahmanism while addressing hindus. And that's why i have problem. Why cant she be 'Herself' rather than changing gears like ashutosh did: sporting a turban while meeting sikhs and being his usual self while giving 'darshan' to hindus. Do true sants or mahapursh pay attention toward such tactics? Anyway if i am wrong or misguided may waheguru bless me.
  14. Aren't u being selfish by saying "weather they build a mega mosque or not... i dont see how it effects us sikhs". Should we only raise voice or contribute when things should only affect us.....well by that logic u might have proved Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji wrong. I'd better judge things on balance and form my opinion. Did that guy in the video not mention Gurdwara, temple, synagogue along with the church. I think we can learn a thing from him. Even he was speaking for sikhs hindus and jews apart from christians.
  15. then you are going to say your are not anti muslim and your best friend is a muslim. Correction: my best friend aint muslim but i have lots of muslim mates. I am not anti muslim by nature or by birth but i try to judge things on merit and for some reason i find myself most of the times pitted against islam and muslims just coz in my views they(both islam and muslims) dont do things the humane way but impose their decisions on others.
  16. Veer sarpanch has been doing a good job by posting many videos from you tube on various issues so i thought let me do my bit as well to educate all of us a bit more on various issues. Here's a video about proposed mega mosue to be built in london funded by saudis . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XUjePsrUEWw&NR=1
  17. The reason i have problem with such 'holy' people is coz they use gurbani for their purposes. We are already struggling to make our point that we are seperate and have nothing to do with hinduism and then these people do their parchaar of brahmanism and at the same time using gurbani which links sikhi to hinduism as it's got a lot to do wiv brahmanwaad. Why don't these people do viakhya of quran and hadiths or bible??? Coz they know there aren't many takers of it in the deras.
  18. These hindu goona are nothing. They are cowards, they can only fight either by attacking from behind or when they outnumber the opponent five or six times. Delhi pogroms, gujrat riots are examples. Otherwise either they run away or hide when they confront the enemy. Bhaiyyas owing allegience to shiv sena or bajrang dal create terror in the minds of ordinary ppl by wielding trishuls etc but they ran away all the way back to bihar when sikhs were outraged by dera sauda and there was tension in panjab. There were news that bhaiyas have fled punjab in fear and industry is suffering, although there was no threat to civilians.
  19. Can sumone plz make a video reply stating sant bhindranwale's stance on khalistan and his views about hindus.
  20. This song's from Punjabi Virsa 2005 held at london wembley conference centre sung by kamal heer. After listening to this song i was disgusted. Kamal heer in this song has compared kara with challas and mundis and has really degraded the gift of our beloved kalgidhar patshah. To me it sounds as he has labelled kara as an accessory and has called kara as "pehchaan punjabi di". Kara's an essential and unseperable part of sikh rehat and is not a cultural item or accessory and is not a symbol of punjabiat. Anyway you listen the song and judge it in the light of gursikhi. Here's the link http://www.musicindiaonline.com/p/x/Ys3tP1s83S.As1NMvHdW/
  21. Fateh, Listen to this description about physique and personality of Kalgidhar patshah Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Though i'm surprised know how yogi knows so much, about the source. It's on the main page of http://www.sikhnet.com under the heading jaap sahib course. The audio's named "Being in the court of guru gobind singh ji"
  22. Arrest warrant against dera chief Chander Parkash Tribune News Service Bathinda, June 20 In a significant development that could give a new twist to the standoff between Dera Sacha Sauda and Sikh organisations, additional chief judicial magistrate A.L. Kitchi today issued arrest warrant against Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, head, Dera Sacha Sauda, in connection with a criminal case registered against him under Section 295-A of the IPC on May 20 in Bathinda. Sources said the magistrate directed the police to seek permission from the state government before arresting him. A formal application was moved in the court by the police for securing his arrest warrant on June 18. However, the court took up the application yesterday and later adjourned the case. The case was registered on the complaint of Rajinder Singh Sidhu, president, Khalsa Diwan. The dera head was charged with hurting the religious sentiments of Sikhs through his blasphemous act of imitating Guru Gobind Singh and enacting the religious baptism ceremony. The police has also registered two criminal cases against dera followers for their alleged involvement in violence on May 14 and 15. Nearly 20 followers have been arrested so far. Nau Nihal Singh, SSP, said the police would get the copy of arrest warrants tomorrow. UNI adds: While referring to the plea of the prosecution, the court questioned the motive behind registering the case at a police station in Bathinda instead of at the Bhagta police station as the dera head had enacted the baptism ceremony at Salabatpura village. The prosecution contended that the case was registered at a local police station after the complaint of a local resident and, moreover, Bathinda, too, had been affected by the violence that followed the Salabatpura incident. As the police had not sought the permission of the state government while registering the case, the court directed the prosecution to get the permission. The court pointed out that for registering a case under Section 295-A, the permission had to be first sought from the government. After the prosecution assured the court that the permission would be formally sought from the government, the magistrate issued non-bailable warrants that are returnable by July 1. During the arguments yesterday, the prosecution told the court that the police had raided the dera at Sirsa twice in the recent past to arrest Ram Rahim. However, on both occasions due to the presence of a large number of followers, the police could not arrest him. Fresh apology, this time to Sikhs Tribune News Service Chandigarh/Mohali, June 20 In what could defuse tension and soothe frayed nerves in the North India, especially Punjab, chief of Dera Sacha Sauda Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh today issued a fresh apology. Now, he has apologised for his actions to the entire Sikh community. It comes on a day when a court issued an arrest warrant against the dera chief for allegedly hurting the Sikh community's sentiments. A copy of the letter was delivered by a special emissary of the Dera Sacha Sauda to chief of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee P.S. Sarna, who, in turn, has handed it over to SGPC chief Avtar Singh Makkar here today for acceptance of the Sikh high priests. Makkar said the letter had been received, however, he refused to comment, saying that only jathedar of the Akal Takht Joginder Singh Vedanti would comment on it. Makkar and Sarna addressed a joint press conference at Mohali here tonight. It had been decided that a 10-member committee would be formed to iron out differences between the sect and the Sikh community, said Sarna. It would have five members each from among the Sikhs and followers of the sect. The choice of five members of the Sikhs had been left to Sikh high priests. Sources said an MLA from Punjab, a dera emissary and a senior intelligence official were present when Sarna provided the information about the breakthrough in the deadlock. Sarna told The Tribune that the apology letter was signed by the dera and it should not have any problems in being accepted. He revealed that the DSGMC was working behind the scene to persuade the dera chief to see reason. A meeting of the Khalsa Action Committee was held tonight to decide on the further course of action. Various Sikh organisations was mounting pressure on the Punjab government asking it to arrest the dera chief and a case was registered against him on May 20 for "hurting the religious sentiments" of the Sikhs.
  23. I was also same as u sumtime back (though i've just improved a litile) but it's not as tough as it seems in the beginning. I asked one of my amritdhari relative sumtime back " i don't understand gurbani even a bit, how can i learn it?" and reply was "u just try Guru maharaj will do kirpa" and it did happen. I read ranslation of japji sahib and got the idea, and can now understand a lot of gurbani even without translation.Maybe for u it might be coz as u said ur panjabi's not too good but still today we have almost A to Z of sikhi one click away in english. Just make an effort and things will fall into place. Try talking to religious minded ppl even if it's on msn etc. If u develop it into an interest it's much more useful.
  24. Channel panjab airs some good programmes buh it put me to shame wen one morning i turned on the tv and found out some matas bhetas goin on. It was so embarrasing in front of ma mates and to make matters worse the guy singing those bhetas was a pagri was 'sikh'. I had to quickly clarify to ma mates tht we don't believe in this shyt and stuff. Sikhs desperately need a panthic channel otherwise these ppl are gonna soon claim to be the voice of sikhs and create more confusion among masses. Major Sandhu's song was a brilliant effort. Respect to him . It's not esy to spk up if u are frm punjab coz u never know wats gonna happen wen u land on airport in india next time. Daring effort by major. Keep it up. Can sumone plz provide details if panjab radio refused to play this song???
