  1. Maybe I should have said, urban types but if you know anything about India then you would know that I meant Bhappas anyway. Personally I think rural people are less likely to use the Kartarpur corridor for shopping, they go there due to Shardha while urban types go there to shop.
  2. What are your views of these kinds of people who use the Kartarpur corridor to go shopping in Pakistan? You can never change some people especially the Bhappas, they look at everything in money terms.
  3. Muslims also took part in attacks on Sikhs in 1984. Salman Khurshid a top congress leader said that in 1984 Muslims were happy that the Sikhs were being attacked because of what the Sikhs had done to the Muslims in 1947. We should remember this the next the Muslims try the solidarity card with us when they get attacked.
  4. Like Bhai Jagraj Singh used to say that the future of the Hindus in India lies in their embracing Sikhi. We made the mistake of helping the Christians in 1999 when they were being attacked across India by the Hinduvis and we can all see the result. As for Mother Theresa that evil witch took many Sikhs orphans from the 1984 genocide and turned them into Christians. We need to wise up, whatever the Hindutvis do to the Muslims and Christians is none of our business. We should only respond if they Hindutvis pose a danger to us which at this time they have not, apart from the farmers agitation which we have won there is not need for us to be either for or against the Hindutvis. We should not allow ourselves to be stupidly used as cannon fodder which is what the liberals in our community want us to be to protect the Muslims and the Christians. We need to be looking after our own and building up our strength by bringing as many Hindus into Sikhi as possible. North India will have a civil war within the next decade because the Hindutvis want to have a final showdown with the Muslims similar to the way we had our showdown with the Muslims in 1947. They have seen how the Chinese have snuffed out Islam in their country without the world not even batting an eyelid and they also think they can do the same based on the fact that the west needs India to counter China and as a business partner.
  5. There would definitely have been criticism of her in the UK press, the lack of this and Indian media going overboard shows it was a fake tweet.
  6. I'm not saying every Jat from Sahnewal was Arya Samaji. It was just small number and by the time of partition there were probably a few Arya Samaji Jats or Sakhi Sarwaria Jats in Ludhiana district. In 1911 prior to the Akali movement and before the first world war, the Sarwaria Jats were 78,000 but by 1931 Census there were only 2,500 Sarwarias compared to Jat Sikhs who went from 131,000 in 1911 to 211,000 in 1931. In the eastern areas of Ludhiana district, the Sarwaria Jats held sway in many villages and there was open opposition between the Sarwarias and the Sikh Jats. Just as there is Partibaazi in the villages today between the party that supports Congress and the party that supports the Akalis, at that time there was the Party of the Guru and the Party of Sakhi Sarwar. The fact that the Sarwarias could smoke and Sikhs hated tobacco also contributed to this. This opposition even found its way into Western UP where there is a famous poem (told from the Sarwaria side) about how the Sikh Jats tried unsuccessfully to convert after marriage the daughter of a Sarwaria to Sikhi and how she was saved from this fate by Sakhi Sarwar! Back to Eastern Ludhiana district, There were three main reasons why the Sarwarias lost sway there. 1. The first world war. Sikhs were favoured for recruitment in the British Indian army. Sarwarias were actively avoided for recruitment as they in British eyes were seen as degenerated Jats. Sarwarias had a lax attitude to religion. Any Sarwaria who wanted to join the army would have to become a Sikh. While in the army these former Sarwarias would have Sikhi imbued into them by all aspects of their regiment. The Granthi to explain Sikhi, the installation of the Guru Granth Sahib in the regiment also contributed in strengthening Sikhi in these former Sarwarias. When the war ended these new Sikhs would have the zeal of new converts and they would live the Sikh lifestyle in their villages and having served for many years they would be viewed as reliable and trustworthy men in the village. Such was not the case with those Sarwarias who did not join the army and remained Sarwaria in their villages. 2. The Akali movement which in many ways was a movement dominated by ex-Army Sikhs also raised the credibility and respect of the Sikh Jat compared to the Sarwaria Jat. The victory of the Akali Dal against what was perceived as an invincible government raised the status of the Jat Sikh in the eyes of the rural population. 3. The Jat Sikhs would take wives from the Sarwarias but would refuse to marry their daughters to the Sarwarias unless these Sarwarias became Sikhs.
  7. Mojo Story that ultra left wing channel run by Barkha Dutt who in the interview with Deep Sidhu refused to even listen to the context in which Sant Bhindranwale chose to fight the Indian government here the channel interviews Sikh pilgrims at Darbar Sahib about the beadbi incident. There is no doubt that had Mojo Story found any Sikhs or even local Hindus to condemn the killing of the person who did beadbi then they would have presented it to counter the Sikh viewpoint. This is what I have stated in other threads. We are becoming more and more Panthic orientated and the liberal 'sikhs' are on the defensive.
  8. This is something I noted. A lot of Hindus who migrate to the west now are professionals joining multinational companies and vast majority belong to urbans areas outside of Punjab. They are used to Bhappa types who can't even be bothered to wear Turbans and wear Patkas which in rural areas only the young kids wear so they look pretty ridiculous. These Bhappas are also noted to be money grabbing. They have all the negative characteristics that a people can have. Before Bollywood changed some of it stereotypes of Sikhs, it used the Bhappas with their patkas as comedic characters. This is the stereotype that Hindus from cities have of the typical Sikh and this is why they are surprised when outside of India when they come across Gurdwaras with Santji's photos and Sikhs not living of their stereotype of Sikhs.
  9. Looks like he is suffering from mental illness given the statement he made on the video.
  10. Shocking video shows crossbow-wielding man threatening to 'assassinate the Queen' | Daily Mail Online Shocking video shows crossbow-wielding man threatening to ‘assassinate the Queen in revenge for 1919 Amritsar massacre’ – as 19-year-old who scaled Windsor Castle fence is sectioned Footage shows crossbow-wielding figure threatening to 'assassinate the Queen' It is understood to be the 19-year-old male suspect, from Southampton, in video Armed intruder was arrested in the grounds of Windsor Castle on Christmas Day Suspect, who was carrying a crossbow, was sectioned under Mental Health Act Security were alerted to his presence when alarm was triggered around 8:30am By REBECCA ENGLISH and REBECCA CAMBER FOR THE DAILY MAIL and LAUREN LEWIS FOR MAILONLINE PUBLISHED: 22:25, 26 December 2021 | UPDATED: 01:40, 27 December 2021 Shocking video showing a crossbow-wielding man threatening to ‘assassinate the Queen in revenge for 1919 Amritsar massacre’ has emerged - after a 19-year-old who scaled Windsor Castle's spiked fence was sectioned. The footage which was obtained by The Sun shows the man, thought to be the arrested suspect, holding a black crossbow and using a distorted voice as he makes threats down the camera. Jaswant Singh Chail uploaded the pre-recorded video to Snapchat at 8:06am on Christmas Day, 24 minutes before a man was arrested by police inside the grounds of Windsor Castle. Kamala Harris says DEMOCRACY and the climate crisis are the biggest national security threats facing the US: VP also stands by Biden's decision to withdraw from Afghanistan and puts the blame on Trump, and other top stories from December 27, 2 He says: 'I'm sorry. I'm sorry for what I've done and what I will do. I will attempt to assassinate Elizabeth, Queen of the Royal Family. This is revenge for those who have died in the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre. 'It is also revenge for those who have been killed, humiliated and discriminated on because of their race. I'm an Indian Sikh, a Sith. My name was Jaswant Singh Chail, my name is Darth Jones.' Sith may be a reference to the leading villains in Star Wars while Darth Jones may relate to James Earl Jones who voiced Darth Vader. A framed picture of Star Wars character Darth Malgus was visible in the background of the clip. The Jallianwala Bagh massacre, or Massacre of Amritsar, saw 379 protesters killed and 1,200 wounded by British forces in India. Alongside the video a message was also sent on Snapchat which said: ‘I’m sorry to all of those who I have wronged or lied to. ‘If you have received this then my death is near. Please share this with whoever and if possible get it to the news if they’re interested.’ The suspect, who police have not yet named, was arrested shortly after 8.30am yesterday after he was spotted on CCTV roaming the gardens after scaling an outer wall. He was later sectioned under the Mental Health Act. Scotland Yard said detectives were examining the footage which was posted on social media before the Christmas Day incident at the Queen’s Berkshire home.
  11. Such self hatred doesn't bode well for his future. He is the opposite of Chardi Kala. Such negativity. As for Jews here is an interesting table for Pew research. So you can understand the chart. So for Orthodox Jews only 9% think they have a lot in common with Reform Jews (liberals) BUT 79% say they have a lot in common with other Orthodox Jews. So 50% (100 - 9 + 41) of Orthodox Jews say they have nothing in common with Reform Jew.
  12. There's some confusion about the tweet. I doubt she tweeted it and it looks like it was doctored by some bandar in India. The outrage is only in the Indian press and given how much BS passes for news in India is it not surprising that their newspapers have accepted it as a real tweet.
  13. These types are used to urban effeminate Sikhs in the areas where they live and it comes as a surprise to them when they come across rural Sikhs online or if they come and abroad they go to Gurdwaras run by Sikhs from a rural background. Usually these bandars can take the pi$$ out of the urban Sikhs and openly tell Sardar jokes in their own cities but when they try that abroad they usually get their a$$es handed back to them by Punjabi Sikhs. They then rationalise that the rural Sikhs hate Hindus and don't understand that they were created to 'defend' Hindus!
  14. Lala is a title used by Banias who are a caste of shop keepers in Punjab and north India. Nowadays Lala is a term used for any high caste urban Hindu.
  15. That's quite possible and given his hatred of freshies maybe the guy was a freshie who was ambitious and didn't want to end up as a buddah on a building site. Maujan building site diyan
  16. You seem to post this picture every few weeks. Maybe shows us a lot about why you never married!
  17. Just ignore him, if there is anything consistent about this guy it's his hatred of Jats. A psychologist would have a field day with this guy, he would have to give names to the new syndromes that he is suffering from at the moment.
  18. But a start has to be made. I remember a few months ago online a lot of apnay (both male and female) made posts that they would be having at least 4 kids to increase the Sikh population. The liberal backlash was incredible, they lost their heads and one even said such views were a vindication of WHITE SUPREMACY!! Such is the lunacy of our liberals. What we are seeing is a gradual change in attitude among our people from Liberalism to Panthic. Just take the case of the beadbi at Harmandir Sahib, even a year ago the majority opinion online would have been critical of what actions the Sangat took but now the majority opinion was sympathetic to what the Sangat did. The liberal apnay and their supporters from both the Hindu LW and RW were astounded how the Sikhs who they thought were just bhangra dancing, langar dispensing woke warriors had now become so based. The aim of resettling Sikligars should not just be just to provide labour for the fields. Farming will and has to undergo rapid mechanisation and labour intensive and environmental damaging crops such as rice will need to stop being grown. Sikligars should be encouraged to set up workshops where they can retain their traditional metalwork arts. They should be making good quality Kirpans which should command a premium especially among those Sikhs who want to have a Kirpan that is made traditionally and is not a plasticky Chinese made one. The SGPC and Akal Takht Jathedar have at least acknowledged that Christianity is a threat to us in Punjab. This is a change of mindset which should be welcomed as well as whatever parchar they will now do to retain and bring back lost Sikhs back to Sikhi. I remember in 2014 when the RSS reconverted a village of former Sikhs who had become Christian back to Sikhi, the SGPC as well as the Akal Takht Jathedar spoke out against it!! If we cannot have visionary leaders then just make sure that we have visionary Sikhs, make the change in your family, fight the liberalism that has degraded us to this level and bring back the Panthic spirit into your family and your relatives and your friends. If a significant number of Sikhs do this then there is no need to wait for a visionary leader, the bottom up approach should work just as well as a top down approach. Rather than wait for a visionary leader to come, just having visionary Sikhs will by necessity make any person who wants to be our leader a visionary.
  19. CaliforniaFu.dhu is a class 1 self hater. Watch how apnay truck drivers are working hard to improve the financial condition for the next generation while fud.hus like him can only bi.tch that we are not equalling the Jews who have had centuries more than us of living within the western societies. I would venture he probably flips burgers himself.
  20. This was one of the ideas that the British Sikh Council has mooted to help the Sikligars of Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh to reconnect with Sikhi and improve their economic condition by migrating to Punjab. As far as I know many NRP ( non- resident Punjabis) have put up for their locked up properties for use by the Sikligars.
  21. That might be possible but it is highly unusual for Sikh Jat to become an Arya Samaji because by the time of the Singh Sabha and especially the Akali movement it was very much characterised as a movement of urban Lalas and something which any self respecting Sikh Jat would stay away from. It was easier for a Jathera worshipping Jat to become an Arya Samaji as happened in large numbers in South East Punjab now Haryana.
  22. You are right, the family is Arya Samaji but they did not convert to Arya Samaj from Sikhi, they were never Sikhs. They belong to Sahnewal which is in eastern Ludhiana district. Ludhiana is a curious area where the Jats of the western areas of the district (Jagraon -Raikot) became Sikh at the time of Guru Hargobind and later Guru Gobind Singh and the majority of Jats in the eastern areas remained worshippers of Sakhi Sarwar and Jathera well into the late 19th century. The became Sikh during the Singh Sabha movement. The Arya Samaj which although it was a mainly urban movement but there were some rural areas of Punjab where they gained a foothold as well. One of these areas were eastern Ludhiana especially the villages close to Ludhiana city of which Sahnewal was one. A few Jat families of this area went from Jathera worship to Arya Samaj rather than to Sikhi. Sunny Deol's family was one of them.
  23. The Lambadis or Vanjaras have a very long connection with Sikhism. They trace their origin to Rajasthan and they were the main suppliers of the Mughal and other medieval armies and trace their migration to central and south India to the invasion of Aurangzeb of the Dakhan in the late 17th century. Even the British writers in the late 1800s noted that they revered Guru Nanak. The movement of Lambadis towards mainstream Sikhi goes back to the late 70s and early 80s mainly started by individual Sikhs who lived in their areas who set up organisations to do parchar among them.
