  1. i dont think any of us can answer such a question because we are not ones to judge who should suffer and who should be shown compassion, that is left to vaheguru gurbani tells us how important our human life is, and how hard we got it, we should treasure such a gift, all i can say is from a sikhi point of view suicide is wrong
  2. ive always felt a bit wierd talking about this kind of subject, maybe because it isnt as simple as when you look at it from face value most gays are naturally that way, and some may be even deeply ashamed by this, the fact that they feel society will shun them, the poeple on this board who are slandering them need to step back and step into the shoes of someone who is different from society this person is born different, do we have the right to shun and slander them? no, it was in such a persons karma that they was born different, we should show love towards all people whoever they are. the reason why i sympathise with homosexuals is because most of them will endure endless hatred in their life over soemthign they have no control over i agree that probably all gay relationships are driven by <admin-profanity filter activated> desire and lust, but how many straight relationships are the same? are we trying to say that straight people do not lust either?
  3. The following is a short story translated from "Gurmukh Darshan" Author : Giani Kirpal Singh Jee This took place ~1927, when Sant Baba Gurbachan Singh jee Khalsa was ~25years old. "In those days there werern't many sevadaars that could recite GurbaNee in Sri Akhand Paath Sahib correctly; these sevaadaars were rare. Due to this reason, our village's Nihung Singh Bhai Taara Singh jee, Sant Baba Gurbachan Singh Jee and myself would be asked to fulfill the seva of Sri Akhand Paath sahib. Also worth noting, Sant Baba Gurbachan Singh jee were always found to be in a tranquil and worriless state of mood. Furthermore, Sant Baba Gurbachan Singh jee would never accept any monetary donations for fulfilling his duties as an Akhand Paath sevadaar. One time in Doaba, there was a Sri Akhand Paath sahib that had already commenced, Baba jee had completed the duty of Sri Akhand Paath seva at 4am and went to a nearby room and started reciting his Nitnem dee banee, while reading he fell asleep. From a nearby room, we heard a voice reciting Gurbanee out loud, out of curiosity myself and other singh's went to the voice. We found it was Baba Jee reciting Gurbanee in his sleep. We went and sat around him and we had listened to him do paath for a half hour in which time we noticed that he had started reading Gurbanee from Sri Akhand Paath sahib. He had left his sevaa for Sri Akhand Paath Sahib at "sorath raag" that is exactly where he had continued reciting from in his sleep. The other sevaadaars that were sitting there listening to him noticed that he had not made a single error in his recitation, we were all left amazed."

  5. makes u think so much!!! just a bit off topic, i was watching a program just now about some samoan islands near new zealand, and it showed how these people lived and survived from everything in the forests and jungles, the way they made their houses, to how they caught food, made fire, and so so much more!!! waheguru has made "intazaam" for their every need...

  9. khalsa ji, you should wear what makes you closer to guru ji, sri guru gobind singh ji maharaj gave us the khalsa roop and you should wear it with pride which im sure you did. people will look, let them, at least you will know that when dasmesh pita made the khalsa panth to stand out, it still works today :e:

  13. im sorry but i find this rediculous!! Everyone deserves some right of privacy whether its personal or on the internet. What you gonna start doing now? post a picture of every sikh to narrow down their background, who they are, who their sangat is, if they support AKJ or are they nangs? and then continue to start to slur bad words at them if they dont seem right to you? This is not the right way for anyone to act, biniman has his own website and if you wanna know his views or who he is then i suggest you email him and find out yourself where he stands. To talk about someone behind their back where they cannot defend themselves is not right! Im suprised the admin hasnt taken any action against this, im hoping they will intervene soon

  17. vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!! comb your kesh so its free of any knots.. then lean ur head forward so ur kesh is hanging infront of u - then gather ur kesh together, and twist anti clockwise...when ur kesh is nice n tight then tie ur joora the normal way .. (bringing it around clockwise, tuck and over, pull tight, then remaining tied around the bottom) this way ur kesh are not under the tight tension as when ur kesh is platted.... use oil on ur kesh and often massage ur scalp to keep ur roots healthy as previously mentioned, hairloss can often be acredited to genetics and u may get alopechiya, IF u do have that u will know cos ull be losing hair in massive chunks lol someone mentioned they have "aray jay" knots in their hair, obviously when u remove these ur kesh will be in less volume
  18. paakha(n)dd bhagath n hovee dhubidhhaa bol khuaar || Hypocrisy is not devotion-speaking words of duality leads only to misery. so jan ralaaeiaa naa ralai jis a(n)thar bibaek beechaar ||2|| Those humble beings who are filled with keen understanding and meditative contemplation-even though they intermingle with others, they remain distinct. ||2|| so saevak har aakheeai jo har raakhai our dhhaar || Those who keep the Lord enshrined within their hearts are said to be the servants of the Lord. man than soupae aagai dhharae houmai vichahu maar || Placing mind and body in offering before the Lord, they conquer and eradicate egotism from within. dhhan guramukh so paravaan hai j kadhae n aavai haar ||3|| Blessed and acclaimed is that Gurmukh, who shall never be defeated. ||3|| karam milai thaa paaeeai vin karamai paaeiaa n jaae || Those who receive His Grace find Him. Without His Grace, He cannot be found. lakh chouraaseeh tharasadhae jis maelae so milai har aae || The 8.4 million species of beings all yearn for the Lord. Those whom He unites, come to be united with the Lord. naanak guramukh har paaeiaa sadhaa har naam samaae ||4||6||39|| O Nanak, the Gurmukh finds the Lord, and remains forever absorbed in the Lord's Name. ||4||6||39|| >keep your company with your friends at work, if u wish not to go to the pub then dont, if u wish not to eat with them then dont, but just because they dont understand then why should u change yourself? we walk this path for ourselfs, not for no one else, if they ask why u do a certain thing then tell them, they might find it interesting and ask more, end of the day the reason why your gettin asked is because lack of knowledge. its not easy to do what you have done so you definitly are a kismet wala :e: all my friends who i grew up with are druggies and do all sorts of stuff i keep my company with them but i dont let them affect me and we have a mutual understandin between each other..
  19. vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!! get 2 alarm clocks, set the time so that one goes off say 5/10 minutes after the other put the clock with the earlier alarm faaaaaar away from your bed, so you MUST get out of bed to switch it off, and when your up straight into the bath for your ishnaan :e: however IF you fall back into bed ( ) then the 2nd alarm should soon wake u up, and if u still dont get up... then i guess get 3 alarm clocks :T: lol obviously make sure u go to bed at a decent time to allow you rest, after about 2 weeks of this your body will automatically adjust to your new wakin up times and then u can get rid of the alarms and appey jaag aah jani
  20. vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!! I dont know about anyone else here, but i aint part of AKJ, Nihang or Taksal, im part of the Khalsa Panth, if people wanna say "im AKJ", "im a Taksali", "im a Nihang" and forget about being a united khalsa which is not segregated then thats up to them. When Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj created the Khalsa Panth to create unity and abolish any caste ties, why have we started putting ourselfs into jathebandi/samparda boxes? im a Sikh of Sri Guru Nanak Sahib Ji Maharaj thats it, not akj, not taksal, not nihang Gurfateh
