  1. k well i my hand sliped and i my finger caught the balde, and i got a deep cut, really hurt aswell. trust me lol, its sharp. i think it depends on the quality of sarbloh, and the content of steel in it.
  2. no, i have a sarbloh shaster, and had it sharpened, and it hasnt become blunt again.
  3. you could sharpen it with a coarse file, or get it professionally sharpened. if you shaster is sarbloh, becareful, as it may chip if not sharpened properly. To clean it, you could use sand paper or steel wool. depends what your shasters like.
  4. lol. ive also made minor mistakes but im a completely different person now n would never go back to my old sinful ways. i think u realise how forgivving god is when u get into sikhi cuz u just feel so blessed to have been given this oppertunity to start again! n i truly do blieve that all the naam japping u do counts, however even iif it doesnt, im just glad its makin me a better person. i was told by a very religious and spiritual sant that it is the hair on the haid that should be kept- as this also retains the divine energy and heat that u get when u naam japp- not the facial hair which is unnatural on women- i was talking to a sikh from india recently and he told me he knew not a single amritdhari woman with facial hair in india- our western water is definilty different and it helps the hair products sell! lol. many many amritdhari women old and young in the uk and abroad do not keep their facial hair, im sure the gurus wouldnt ahve wanted their daughters to face such humiliation as waking around looking like an ape, as well as the fact that because the gurus got married it is our duty to also do so, and that may nbot be possible if ur growing a beard!!!! lol. but some people keep it out of choice and resepct to them for showing such committment and dedication against odds.anyways its all a matter of what u believe and think. goodluck on ur journey. penji you seem to be extremely confused. removing hair is a bujjar kurehit, full stop. it doesnt matter where the hair is from whether from the face or the head, hair is hair. and all hair must be kept in tact on the body.To abstain from the four Bajjar Kurehits, is the basic foundation of Sikhism. If you commit any of the Bajjar Kurehits you cannot be called a Sikh. <<<<<im sure the gurus wouldnt ahve wanted their daughters to face such humiliation as waking around looking like an ape>>>>>> errm nah, mahraj said without rehit we cannot be called his sikhs, how can you say mahraj would want his daughters to remove their beloved kes!!! rom rom mih bsih murwir || On each and every hair, the Lord abides. gurmuiK roim roim hir iDAwvY || The Gurmukh meditates on the Lord with every hair of his body. mahraj himself resides on each and evry hair, when we japp naam, naam vibrates on evry hair. we cannot remove just one hair. If you think it is ok for women to remove their facial hair, then us bibia always say we want equality, we should say the singh can remove their dhara too. Penji, dont worry about appearances, and getting married. I know singhnia wiv kes on their face who are happily married, we cannot control anything, mahraj will sort evrything out. Just because their a few bibia who do remove their kes, doesnt make it right. Of course bodily hair is natural, we have it on our arms and legs obviously we are gonna have a bit on our face. Outwardly appearances are nothing, this body is false and will be reduced to dust in the end, we shouldnt get so caught up in looks. Im sorry if i came across as harsh, but what you said really hurt me. All them bibia who are so strong out their, and againt all odds keep their hair, and japp naam........you are sayin their guru's would want them to remove their kes!!no way!!! ok im really sorry if i sed nefink wrong, im not tryin 2 judge or belittle you, i just dont want other bibia on the forum reading your post and agreeing with it. gurfateh jee
  5. the answer is most probably cant, or if not cant, then shouldnt.
  6. hu cares wether some1 dont wanna marry you or not. if you are following gurus hukam what can possibly go wrong. if you are trying to please other people, what can possibly go rite. Why are we wasting our time worrying about marriage so much, leave everything to mahraj, and lets try and all help each other and improve our jeevans. :TH:

the only way to do simran is swaas swaas?? this i must disagree with. simran on the vaja is fine. altho i agree tht nowadays wen eva the tabla gets fast and loud or the keertanee discovers a tuk with "naam" in it, they start "smashing" the simran this is not so gr8
  10. hmm there from the pind ratoval near ludhiaana, in punjab. quite alot of singhs have got them from there, these singhs r from bham, uk. errrm, if ur really desperate for one, and will respect it properly, i have got 6, and i dont wear all of them, so u can have one if you want. where are you from and tht? r u goin cov smgam, i cud bring it there..... t.kaur
  11. .... tattos will not effect u as a sikh but yes it will enhance your soldier part of sikhism .... hmm i wasnt going to comment on this post, but i feel you are giving the sangat wrong information. Tatoos, are a big NO NO in sikhi. in what way will a tatoo enhance ''your soldier part of sikhism'' @ There is no point to it, you have your panj kakars, they give the identity of khalsa, you dont need some mark on your hand to show everyone who you are? Why would you get a tatoo? It is a permenant mark on your body. Our bodies are false its the soul what counts. WE need to write the naam of mahraj on our hearts. We need to japp naam with every breath, our body is simply a house for our soul. Mahraj knows everything, he knows all about you, why have a mark on your hand to show others. We need injections, to prevent us from gettin ill, it has a purpose, unlike tatoos. Paaji, i understand you have a tatoo, on your hand, and thats your decision, but please dont justify your actions by sayin it help in your sikhi, as you are giving out the wrong message. Forget all these useless activites!! japp naam!!! vahiguroooo forgive me if i have said anythink wrong
  12. yup i will do. as long as ur singhni picks us up from station :TH:
  13. ye i agree with harwinder84. we can say things but its alot harder to act upon it. If we call ourselves the slave of the gursikhs, do we really, i mean really consider ourselves as the slaves of the gursikhs. do we really see ourselves, lower than EVERYone else, no matter what stage they are at?? If there are gurmukhs out there who can actually see themselves as a servant/slave of mahraj, then :TH: to them please do ardas for us moorakhs vahigurooo
  14. put my name down pleaseeee :TH:
  15. it starts at 6.30  @ i thought it started at 8 or summit, no wonder im always one of the last ones to turn up
  16. raagmala is NOT gurus bani and you dont need to have 5 baniaa kanth or to have read each of maharaaj's 1429 angs to know this "who knows what they will have to endure if they die doubting the authenticity of Ragmala." oh really, so what about bhai shaib randhir singh? he left his physical body in complete bliss
  17. teekhya dont read my opinions, just read the gurbani from my last post
  18. asking what to wear does not mean ur not ready to take amrit KFI or anybody else has no authority to say whether some1 is ready to take amrit only the panj pyare have tht authority
  19. gurfateh jee. I assure you, you will regret it sooo much if you turn your back on mahraj and cut ur precious kes. jy ko gur qy vymuKu hovY ibnu siqgur mukiq n pwvY ] pwvY mukiq n hor QY koeI puChu ibbykIAw jwey ] Anyk jUnI Brim AwvY ivxu siqgur mukiq n pwey ] iPir mukiq pwey lwig crxI siqgurU sbdu suxwey ] khY nwnku vIcwir dyKhu ivxu siqgur mukiq n pwey ]22] One who turns away from the Guru, and becomes baymukh - without the True Guru, he shall not find liberation. He shall not find liberation anywhere else either; go and ask the wise ones about this. He shall wander through countless incarnations; without the True Guru, he shall not find liberation. But liberation is attained, when one is attached to the feet of the True Guru, chanting the Word of the Shabad. Says Nanak, contemplate this and see, that without the True Guru, there is no liberation. ||22|| Life is tough we all have our ups and lows, but we have to see it as a test from mahraj, do ardas and try to get through it. I know, i know it is alot easier said than done. But mahraj is your father, he will help you. You are going through some tough times, and your faith is probably at a low point, but how is cutting ur kes the answer to this? How would it make you feel, what will you get from it. I really think you need sangat, find some snagat in your local area, get together talk about sikhi, try and read some posts from here, on what inspired others to get into sikhi. Im sure there are plenty of gursikhs who will show you lots of piaar. If everyone just gave up when the goings got tough, we wouldnt have many gursikhs here today!! Paaji start today, with just a few mool mantars, go onto www.sikhitothemax.com and read some of the random shabads. Download and listen to as much kirtan as you can , and do a hearfelt ardas and im sure mahraj will bless you with kirpa. You are only here to japp naam!! dont get attached to anything else, just concentrate on your relationship with mahraj!
