Well personally i don't see the reason why anyone would want to - as a sikh! whats the point. maybe when ur little and u want all the presents and stuff. But c'mon.. growing up christmas has become meaningless to me. yes, the atmospheres nice and everything but its only propaganda that leads u to think its such a "special" time of year. i just lyk the snow hehe

Think we should respect it and no associate it with generally immoral things such as drinking and smoking because after all its religion and jesus did bhagtee too! I think its disrespectful that your a associating these things with a religious festival. Its up to u if u wanna celebrate it.. its not like people celebrate christmas for the religious reasons anyway! its more of a materialistic celebration!

Regards to Heera singhs post. Some of us have just started on this wonderful path of sikhi. It takes a lot to fall in love with guru ji therefore we need role models. we need people to copy. when i posted i was thinking ok... when u are unsure about something.. then u shud think to urself.. what wud guru gobind singh ji do.. or what wud guru naanak dev ji do? .. hmm not sure u got what i meant. This obviously shouldn't be the only thing linking us to God. Of course eventually we will fall in love with him without desire for nothing but him. But its better to want to be lyk guru jii than anyone else. What u sed is lyk next level talk... doesnt apply to most people stay in chardikala vaheguroo jee ka khalsa vaheguroo jee kee fateh

Amrit is just the start... you can only fight the 5 evils AFTER amrit. If you take amrit and do plenty of seva simran and bani. you wil NEVER fall! Give your head to guru ji with love and stay in love with him. It takes udam (effort). do ardas that you may never leave this amazing path. Keep guru ji close and u will never fail. :lol: it doesnt matter how old you are - people can commit sins watever ther age. But ive heard that gettin into sikhi as a teenager is probably the hardest as ther is a lot of social peer pressure etc. But i dunno if i agree with that. We shud just take amrit when we feel we are ready... you'll feel it. I agree with rimmel bhenji. A lot of kuriya are lyk that. But maybe people just dont wanna go cus protests really have a bad name in uk now. lyk that behzti one.. and a few others! Ther seen as violent. And to be honest i thikn if i went to one -singhs would tell me to go home.Truth is singhs are to over protective of singhnia.. lyk we shud be at home cooking and looking after kids... when really haha we arent different at all- hmm i duno in my view a lot of them thikn ther superior. It would probably make a different if 100 singhnia got together and did a protest.. singhs almost just get carried away. im surprised u guys want us ther!
