  1. Last week the baba wadbhag place was broken into and the hindu idols were smashed up. Thats why the security was beefed up at the wadbhag singh dera. well thats what the sangat in southall singh sabha are saying!!! i agree with what you are saying about the growing nutty attitude of some people who might be dressing their aggression with a beadbi issue. if not controlled, this will prove dangerous. onlt time will tell. we must to ardaas so that our younger brothers think responsibly (like they have been doing so) at these protests and that they dont get mislead by the corrupt peoples!!
  2. Bro, something tells me there are certain people who would love nothing more than to attack Hindus and smash up their mandirs here in England. Sit back and enjoy the spectacle of the Holy War when it happens in London and the Midlands. :TH: Guru Fateh singhs now think that they should be smashing hindu idols!! its not a good sign and does not seem the approach our beloved Gurus taught us. even when banda singh bahudur destroyed sirhind, the singhs did not destory the mosque. Guru Gobind Singh never smashed up murtis and never sent his khalsa to do so. when the singhs broke into baba wadhbag singh temple why did they not just take the pavitar saroops of Guru Granth Sahib Ji rather than smash the hindu idols up. I dont get it!!! Was it becuase they wanted to show a peaceful protest!
  3. wow brother, excellent post! I don't think many of us realise this at all!
  4. I joined because everyone seems to find everything out here first!!
  5. be careful brothers that we dont fall in the trap of attacking anyone because they are hindu and have an affiliation to Guru Nanak Dev Jee. these people actually seem to be doing sewa of the homeless which we as guru jees singhs should be doing!!! think b4 you protest brothers!!!
  6. I pray that all the singhs who attended this protest are keeping amrit vela and rehat. jah maat pitaa sut meet na bhaa-ee. Where there is no mother, father, children, friends or siblings man oohaa naam tayrai sang sahaa-ee. - O my mind, there, only the Naam, the Name of the Lord, shall be with you as your help and support. jah mahaa bha-i-aan doot jam dalai. Where the great and terrible Messenger of Death shall try to crush you, tah kayval naam sang tayrai chalai. there, only the Naam shall go along with you. jah muskal hovai at bhaaree. Where the obstacles are so very heavy, har ko naam khin maahi uDhaaree. the Name of the Lord shall rescue you in an instant. anik punahcharan karat nahee tarai. By performing countless religious deeds, you shall not be saved. har ko naam kot paap parharai. The Name of the Lord washes off millions of sins. gurmukh naam japahu man mayray. As Gurmukh, chant the Naam, O my mind. naanak paavhu sookh ghanayray. ||1|| O Nanak, you shall obtain countless joys. ||1||
  7. This is why a sikh needs to have gyan of Gurbani, because the answers are there!!!. Inexperienced opinions will often mislead you, so it is better to speak to rehatvaan sikhs in person rather than expect some kind of adequete response on an internet forum
  8. here here brother. but are we making sure we are becoming better singhs too. that we are not skanking amrit vela or nit nem. some singhs seem to think that they are rescuing Guru jee, but thats a bad attitude! Remember Guru Ji is complete & above everything. If singhs dont understand and live by Gurshabad but turn up to protest than they too are idol worshippers!! We must to ardaas to Sri Akal Purakh that we stay away from hunkaar, because tommorrow that can destroy the very same singhs who are portesting today!!!
  9. To Protest or Not to Protest. That is now the question! I pray the singhs shut down the drinking dens in the gurdwaras now. Leamington needs a revisit!!!! and Leeds . hey brothers, "Bandi Chhor of Sahib Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji". Suggestion to chage the title how can any human do bandi chhor of Sahib Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji? Think my brothers! Guru Jee is beyond needing rescueing or being captivated!!!
  10. I dont think the term rescue is appropriate. We can't rescue Guru Ji, Guru Ji rescues us! Lets not forget that my brothers!
  11. before singhs go down the swearing route, think about what Guru Amardas Jee tell us. bhagtaa kee chaal niraalee. The lifestyle of the devotees is unique and distinct. chaalaa niraalee bhagtaah kayree bikham maarag chalnaa. The devotees' lifestyle is unique and distinct; they follow the most difficult path. lab lobh ahaNkaar taj tarisnaa bahut naahee bolnaa. They renounce greed, avarice, egotism and desire; they do not talk too much. khanni-ahu tikhee vaalahu nikee ayt maarag jaanaa. The path they take is sharper than a two-edged sword, and finer than a hair. gur parsaadee jinee aap taji-aa har vaasnaa samaanee. By Guru's Grace, they shed their selfishness and conceit; their hopes are merged in the Lord. kahai naanak chaal bhagtaa jugahu jug niraalee. ||14|| Says Nanak, the lifestyle of the devotees, in each and every age, is unique and distinct. ||14||
  12. i think it's KPS Gill, but the picture is of Saheed Bhai Sukhdev Singh Babbar.
  13. i'm confused was it Guru Granth Sahib Jees saroop or senchis in ek niwas?
  14. whats the latest? hows the chota veer doing? anyone still in touch with the edinburgh sangat
  15. We fell far short. Out of all the Sikh Socieities I contacted not one has bothered to reply. I do not know if R4GJ sewadar have done anything but even they have not replied to an email. Looks like no GurSikhs from the London area are concerned about these party halls. you can get a good crowd down if it's a mandir!
  16. speak to them. might be that they have not read the label!
  17. i dont understand this poster. Gill is still alive, when did the khalsa need posters like this?
  18. yeah, but have the singhs not just enforced the ek niwasis to see otherwise? Infact what you have said above also applies to ek niwaas. Was there any education and advise or just straight forward enforcement? There's no difference between what the ek niwasis see and the bbc see, they both see scriptures.
  19. all these weekly protests and we can't even explain to the bbc who our Guru is. singhs should be stressing that pawan pavitar saroop of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee is our living embodiment of the Guru. and singhs should not be ashamed to say that to a journalist.
  20. What do u mean "They got a Musalman jagah there"? I dont think any members of the muslim community go there... or know that... are you thinking what i am thinking i can scratch my chin too
  21. Scriptures is not good enough! Our Guru is not a Scripture! Guru Granth Sahib Ji is our living Guru and we dont even have the balls to tell the bbc that!
  22. What no riot? i got a text message about a riot outside ek niwas, sounds like the text had a bit of masala mixed in. Oh you singhs! lol
  23. Check out the bbc news report. Hang on- holy book?? the book?? have they not learned yet? or is it because Sikhs are still treating the pavitar saroop of sri Guru Granth Sahibjee as a book? Anyone willing to complain to the bbc of their derogotary statement about Sri Guru Granth Sahibjee being called a book? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/west_midlands/6168145.stm Sikhs hold protest over holy book The protest continued for several hours on Sunday Trouble broke out during a protest involving hundreds of people relating to the placing of the Sikh holy book in a multi-faith building. There were reports of minor injuries during the incident, which lasted for several hours on Sunday at the Ek Niwas centre in Blakenhall, Wolverhampton. The incident, in Dudley Road, ended when protesters walked out with the book, it is believed. West Midlands Police said the trouble was quickly contained. Meeting due Community leader, Dr Sadhu Singh, said a number of meetings were held in the summer and an agreement was reached to return the holy scriptures to India. But another volume was then placed in a room. Police said they were called to a protest in the afternoon, which was initially peaceful but minor disorder broke out at about 1600 GMT. A spokesman said: "Officers quickly contained the disorder and a crowd of approximately 400 people remained until 9pm when they began to disperse. "Officers continued to monitor the area through the night but the situation remained peaceful. "Police are speaking to both sides of this dispute and a meeting is due where it is hoped that the situation can be resolved. "West Midlands Police will work with the communities it serves to resolve this situation speedily and amicably, but will not allow disorder of any sort to be used to achieve aims." Dr Singh said: "The temple is just down the road, a couple of hundred yards. "Any believer in (the) Sikh faith could go to the temple. There's a library there and the temple is open virtually around the clock."
