how many times have you attended a gurudwara where after the ardas there are name readings with how much donation some1 has given..." so you are doing wrong IN THE HOUSE OF GOD by attending a gurudwara? am i right LETS ALL BOYCOTT GURUDWARAS now because SYA thinks where being involved involved in the beadbi by attending... LOL a few words of wisdom "hum nei chunge burha nei koi" Think about them. And before you go around trying to SPREAD HATRED against sukhdev singh ji, sort out the GURUDWARA'S. They are the BIGGEST cause of abuse hurled at us because we have no control over the paap that goes on there.!!! Previous to viewing this message i had only heard about THE HYPOCRITICAL VIEWS OF SIKHS but now i have viewed it first hand. It is amazing how our own people, our own gurusikhs are easy to criticise others instead of lookin in the mirror!!! WE MUST LOOK AT OURSELVES BEFORE WE CAN JUDGE OTHERS. As Bhagat Kabir ji has stated in one of his saloks, It is easier to get closer to some1else and realise their bad pointS and what they are doing wrong but very hard to realise our own mistakes. This thread is a typical example of this. I AM IN FULL SUPPORT OF THIS EVENT. I urge ALL to attend this non SIKH EVENT AND MAKE THEIR JUDGEMENTS there. another keypoint that needs to be addressed is the fact THAT SIKHS ON THIS FORUM HAVE DIFFICULTY IN READING ENGLISH!!! PLEASE READ THE FLYER for this event and those with a few braincells left will realise THIS IS NOT A SIKH EVENT, IT IS MERELY A SIKH ORGANISED EVENT. How many of us have attended bhangra gigs organised by sikhs? how many of us attended the imperial chaa and samosa party aka Gol gappa party which was purely bhagra motivated. How many of us have attended gurudwara's where the comitee are full of pakhandi's. Gurudwara comitee have corrupted sikhi more than cpt sukhdev singh ji could do in a lifetime. An issue was raised with a sikh society running a "non-sikh" event. Well why is it that NO-ONE has spoken up to the Laamingtom gurudwara commitee who seem to have a "community hall" where meat and alchohol are served freely and is based on the Gurudwara premisis (infront of it - in the carpark). Also the granthi there helps organise these events. I could go on forever regarding maha paap and beadbi's going on in Gurudwara's and other sikh organised events but that would be defeating the point. Sukhdev singh ji is wanting to do a simple talk ON NON SIKHI issues and about spirituality. Rather than supporting a fellow gursikh we are absing him and going against gurumaharaj's teaching. nO EVIDENCE HAS BEEN PROVIDED FOR ANY STATEMENTS MADE IN THIS FORUM WHICH SUGGEST TO ME THAT THEY ARE CHINESE WHISPERS WITH NO FACTUAL BASE (PHYSICAL PROOF). making money and making a living...isn't that what everyone does?? in the gurudwara, if a member of your family dies, ask how much they charge for a funeral...all they are doing is doing a seva and reading phath to bless the dead along there journey (don't know the details, i'm a mere junior sikh on the path of learning lol), yet they charge ammounts unreasonable (along with all the money they make on top by people giving dhaan and putting money into the box at gurudwara??). Some gurudwara's are so exploited, try looking at the incomes coming into the gurudwara?? singh sabha southal...the the new one - haveloc road... 18 million pounds to make...hmmmm....run out of funds 3 times i think it was...hmmm makes you wonder...the outcome....was it valued at £18,000,000???? and whats the deal with all these people getting there names inserted in golden plaques on the walls of the gurudwara??? isn't that worse?? showing of in the house of god that you inputted so much money into the gurudwara's creation? also i have helped organise a few sikh society meetings along with boss for the young university students.... not mentioning any names, but one person, who is well know. was due to do a talk in london. My friend was organising this event. And this person didn't turn up for about half an hour, they later went and searched for this person and found the person was sitting in his car and unwilling to park his car because it would cost this person £5. The person was already being payed £250 for a 1 hour talk. Is that not unreasonable?? (sorry for saying "this person" all the time, trying to protect identity hee hee as this information is second hand a nd fro the organisers so i have no proof therefore i don't want to say anything bad regarding this matter. but it's an issue worth considering) so any excuses saying people are money oriented...well the whole world is money oriented.. but i must agree about the jatt this and jatt that songs. They are unreasonable...but put sardara de aren't....because at the end of the day, beings sikhs, we should all be put sardara dhe. talking about sardar lol (sorry drifting topic now lol), i have also on a few occations met girls who absolutely refuse to marry a singh with a pug (yeah there sikh girls lol) which i feel is how low sikhi has stooped... this is also another factor why many people are becoming mone, to attract the opposites. i actually know a few people that have done it, because the irl they liked didn't like turban'd men. Was that also bhangra influence?? or is that the teachings of our elders??? i personally think the latter... our surrounding form our views on matters....yes artists form a big part, but i'm a massive fan of jazzy, but i'm a singh with a full dhara, and i've never been influenced to cut and never will...because my parents have brought me up that way... if you saw jazzy b and wanted a hair style like his, n your daddy beat you with a danda lol n said "kesh kathe tha vadh dheya gha" truss me....you wouldn't lol...but if your dad said "jho marjhe khar" then??? who's fault is that...your parents or the artist you are following?? both to a certain extent, but more your parents. as they should have tought u the morals. but back to bhangra lol... if an artist has done a dharmic album, why not take it for face value and listen to the music and the words rather than all the polotics behind it... there's enough hate in the world, lets remember where all waheguru 9;s children and i believe that everything that happens, happens with waheguru's hukam. if jazzy b has decided to do another dharmic album, maybe something sparked inside him that made him want to. why are we looking straight at the negatives??listen to the music, enjoy the words and listen to the depth of the songs? they say when some1 does something good, not many notice but one bad thing...people remmber it for life.. ok thats abit of a mish mash reply lol but all in all in conclusion, the world is full of money oriented people, and we all need money in some way to survive...thats a fact of life.....but why look at the bad side of everything and remember, you are to answer for yourself in waheguru's court, not for the others people saying jazzy is this and that and Daler is this n that for doing x.....ok then...say it to there face and proove it to us, do it yourself...its easier said than done. Artist nowadays have little say in the type of songs that come out... recording studios form more of the collection. They TELL the artists ahow many of each songs they HAVE TO HAVE on the album. what about granthi's isn gurdwara promoting castist beliefs??? i had my shoes stolen from a gurudwara, (i have since been informed by the locals that the giani there is corrupt and he is probably the one that stole them, but i have no right to accuse as i have no proof, so i will leave waheguru to judge)but the fact is, you accuse bhangra artists, but what about those that form comitees in the gurdwara and cause for castist hatred amonst our own brothers... m y friend, she was refused from being allowed to do seva in a gurudwara because she is a jatti by caste, a caste system that she doesn't believe in, yet the gurudwara mmbers looked down at her and made her feel bad for entering a "ramgharia gurudwara" what kind of stuff is that, in the house of waheguru!!!! so bhangra artists aren't the ONLY ones who are corru[ting singhs and destroying sikhi, i feel the gurudwara members are WORSE!!! although some - (the new gurudwara in milton keynes - to be made) is COMPLETELY open to all.... the people helping build it were offered vaste sum's of money to make it into a "ramgharia" or a "singh sabha" but they refused...(they offered to completely fund the whole creation.!!!) >>>what kind of stuff is that??? jazzy b my bhaji lol, he lives in the uk, for 6 months and then lives in india for 4 or 5 months depending on show patterns...and a month or so back home in vancouver with his parents. His dharmic album wicked and well produced. The tadhi sabha u.k done a really good job along with shinda bhaji. he has an accent with his english but his panjabi is desi and wicked hence why is wickedly powerful voice and wicked songs. firstly wjkk wjkf secondly...i don't agree with what any of you have written lol (cause i'm different ) ok so you think jazzy b is in the wrong and the reason for the corruption of singhs??...well ok answer this one for me...what about all those giani's and people that form commities in the gurudwara....they are the ones that spread all this caste stuff more than any else in the world..
