  1. Vaheguroo. So tragic to hear about the loss of two young lives... thoughts and prayers with them and their families... :sady: http://www.sikhsangat.org/news/publish/ame...ens_lives.shtml
  2. Dont compare yourself with Bhai Gurdas Jee and other great fareeds or bhagats. They had much greater avasthaa then all of us. How can we question why they didnt write "ji"? We are NOTHING and NOWHERE as near good or as great as them. And no pyaario, its not down to relations or religion or anything. My family wont go with should i ever attain mukhti.
  3. I see it as a mark of respect... i call my mother, "mata JEE" and its a lot more respectful than calling her just "MATA". I guess thats how ive been brought up as well by my parents and im really glad for teaching me how to respect them and others older than me, wiser than me, better than me... which is everyone. I am sorry you dont see it in the same way. Maybe one day, Guru Jee will bestow His glorious grace upon you.
  4. Guru Nanak Dev Ji Dhan Guroo, Dhan Guroo Pyaare May all forum members promote maximum respect for our Guru like above
  5. My point wasnt that its a solution for everybody, but i would rather crawl (like this kathakaar did) into darbar sahib than sit on a wheelchair higher than everyone else, and possibly even Guru Granth Sahib Jee. Where there is a will... a longing to see Guru Jee with the utmost nimratta, Guru pyaario, there is surely a way because Maharaj will not let His Gursikh down. I am pretty sure that Gurdwaras can come up with a solution to help disabled people a lot better. I think all Gurdwaras should look into it rather than not bothering. To be able to provide such a facility would be such a mahaan seva... to help give someone darshan of Maharaj is such big seva.
  6. A kathakaar is currently in UK still i believe... he had no legs, and was in a wheelchair. However, he left his wheelchair OUTSIDE the darbaar and "crawled" with what he had towards Maharaj. It was so emotional and beautiful to see. Maharaj, take my limbs, but please PLEASE Maharaj... i always want to be able to do your darshan...
  7. Everyone who reads this thread by lookin at the title, are CANIBALS...!
  8. im sorry, i try and only see the good in things around me and be aware of the bad unless i know i can change it. I dont know about the "intimate" details you have described above. But if Hinduism brings people closer to Maharaj and they are happy on that path, then i am no one to put down them or their beliefs.
  9. Hindus... true Hindus... did not kill, rape, murder our brothers n sisters... for a True Hindu would not have done that. Those that did, were not even human so they were far from being a true Hindu. We have respect for other religions and other faiths as Sikhs. We are not to judge people by caste or creed, by faith or religion. There have been good Hindus, good Muslims, good Christians who have done GOOD for humanity. To label them as all oppressors of freedom is an insult to them and a very unfair and unjustified one at that. "If you are going to be a Sikh, be a GOOD Sikh... if you are going to be a Hindu or a Muslim, be a GOOD Hindu or Muslim."... that quote suggests that if there are such thing as GOOD Sikhs... then there will also be BAD Sikhs... so see every person as an individual. We dont like it when we are judged so dont judge others. Mutual respect.
  10. Just to make sure to the person asking for name suggestions, make SURE you get Hukamnama from Guru Sahib before choosing the name. You will then be given the first letter of which the childs name should be kept. I am sure if the child grows older and becomes a Gursikh, she would have liked to have been named according to Guru Jee's hukam...
  11. Well if its their religious belief, you have to respect that though innit, no matter what you believe personally. I can imagine it causing upset to true believers and followers of Hinduism so I hope that something is done for the good of everyone. Its a tricky situation in that it has a disease which could spread to people, but for Hindus its considered as sacred. They could just put it in solidary confinement and let followers have access to it after being warned that the thing has a disease. Up to them to take the risk or not then...?
  12. Read BANI. Speak BANI. Hear BANI. Allow these dharmik, bhangra, hip hop, grime tracks that everyone is getting into ajj kal. Gurbani is our ONLY saviour. The cure for the world. The miracle we do not realise exists within our lives.
  13. Keep it up. I know a lot of youth who go to these divaan and they are really inspired by it.
  14. wicked pics  Need something like this doing in India next time round
  15. Great Post!!!! amen its nice to go towns and cities where theres actual pyaar for sikhi, not fighting, or politics or stories of this n that. not many places left lyk that and coventry is really good, even more so its nice to be in a Gurdwara where the area around it is quite blissful.
  16. K H A L I S T A N Z I N A D A B A D VA VA VAHEGUROOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
  17. I think theres nothing wrong with people leaving opinions. If anyone is judging, then on their own heads be it.
