vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!! i dont know this discussion belongs to this topic or not.....but i want to give a feeling of my heart... i went back india few months b4.....and visisted punjab too...my maternal family is from patiala...anywys when i went amritsar...Harmandir Sahib was grrrt... now wht i felt bad was that when i saw the kaar seva video... ppl rushing to do seva for Harmandin Sahib.... hmmm...good thing...excellent...but wht abt the other gurudwaras...especially the one which is alongside the Harmandir Sahib..i forgot the name of that historical gurudwara.... but it was a shame for me.....its soooo near to Harmandir Sahib...not even 10 steps i think its along side Guru Arjan Dev ji niwas...but still if u c the place where u keep ure shoes...horrible....the sarovar in it..black....the walls..all deteriorated...not only this gurudwars...many others too in amritsar...is ths the sewa..where a gurudwara already so lavished ...does it needs to be more lavished.... i know wht ppl think...its Golden Temple....ehich the britishers named...but they forgot that its Harmandir Sahib... i agree the importance of this gurudwara in Sikhi....thus no other gurudwara can take place of Harmandir Sahib...but yes all other gurudwaras can become a Golden temple...!! ppl keep cleaning the floor and walls of darbaar sahib...but never realized there is a gurudwara just alongside.. most of the ppl i saw i saw had fallen .....in the morning for prakash...everyone pushing each other to take the SGGS inside...they even pushed my mother...i even said..is it the way...darshan is more important or touching...but who listens...stepping on each other...huh.... ppl picking up flowers which is being thrown on SGGS....i think its lind faith... in the video...i saw someone giving golden spades..ok ji gud sewa...but it wud have been a better seva if he wud have done for another gurdwara too.... there's soo much sangat in Harmandir Sahib....if everyone contribute even 1 rupee....at night...there wud be thousand rupees....but for other gurudwara...not even 200..... so y to do sooo much seva which is already lavish....do seva for other gurudwaras...make every gurdwara a Golden temple i cant say much more..i dont know its right or wrong .....but this is wht i saw...it hurt me....

vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!! i live in hostel....in canada...and my roommate is a muslim.... we generally chat abt religion......now on Sunday i wanna go to gurudwara...so my other roommate who is a hindu..said to bring the prashad for him...i said ok..he likes the prashad thats all... anywys...then he told to my muslim friend..that u go to mosque too...bring some prashad from there too... he said that there's no serving for prashad in mosque...... so he was questioned that y is it not so.... he told that "we go to mosque ...with ibaadat..to pray and remember Allah...nothing else...y shld there be food serving?" i was listening all this.....like a dumb i was unable to discuss or answer.....? hulp me saadh sangat ji.. vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!! i want anyone of u ...plzz post this reply to mr.tawheed.... well in general wht i feel is that in the very beginning of human life there were many religions , all tribal, everyone started to beleive in sun , stones , water etc, as God, then when it was all at its height maybe then JUDAISM was born(i dont know much about its origin) ...people started worshipping the real God... but after many centuries... when people again lost faith..started idol worship...became cruel..started thinking that their religion should overtake others...CHRISTIANITY was born...again spreAding the SAME message ... to different people in a different way.......by sending a prophet...... everything was well.........then after some time people again lost faith in God....idol worship again started....people lost their senses and forcefully fought for superiority of their religions ..... thus God sent another prophet... and ISLAM...begin...... on the other hand in east...i.e. India.. when Hinduism was too much deeply affected by idol worship... BUDDHISM and after that JAINISM started.... Islam also taught the same message in different manner to different people of those time... and it was immensly successful... all went well..but when islam and christianity both took forceful actions to convert people..known as Holy wars..i guess... and when there was lot of paakhand and rituals.. God sent another prophet..and SIKHISM started and spread the same message again in a different manner to the people of those times.... to date i feel ..since its the newest ...only 5 centuries old...let it grow ..c how it will change todays world like other religions did in past ... and nothing is like FINAL MESSENGER....srry its my feeling.... if people again get blind.. if people again started fighting for making their religion superior... when sikhs also start to do paakhands and rituals... HE will agin send a prophet to teach HIS children ...what is right and what is wrong!!! So what i feel, is that God is one, dont worry about the manner u worhip God, but worry whom u r worshipping, i.e., obviously dont worship stones and do rituals... but think,praise, meditate,worship, HIM!!! no religion which beleives in one god is a matter of true or false... its the way we handleit.... handle it honestly...then its true....handle it faithfully ..then its true... handle it truthfully... then its true... handle it with love..then its true... well i cant go into any texts and research.. lol ..cuz i m just 19 and doin engineering....no time... @ ... anywys...i gave my feeling... hope i didnt do anything wrong!! vwihgurU jI kw Kwlsw! vwihgurU jI kI &iqh!! aaah....not much to say... but last night i was listening to Gurdaas Maan's collection.. i always admire....he is a good singer... but suddenly i just felt like when i listened the song "Apna Punjab Hove , Ghar Di Sharaab Hove"........is this wht our punjabi culture depicts....and to my more amazement this song was and is still a big number of gurdas maan...no wonder rest of the song is beautiful..but still the opening line ugh! moreover there r many many singers and songs which show that alcohol is one of the main ingredient for describing punjabi culture.... for eg.. one more song by Pammi bai..being famous days... "Muchhan Kundiyaan , Te Tor Vaali Pag Hoyee.............. do cheezan jatt mangda, daroo ghar di , te bandook barah bor di..."! but this is not the main reason y i m expressing my grief... i was shocked last saturday...it was my friend's b'day party... and they all brought liquor... when i said ..sorry i dont drink... he said "oye .. sardaar hoke ye baat karta hai...... sardaar nahi peeyenge......to inki[liquor] bikri kaisi hogi!!!" (it means, if sardaar dont drinks, then how would be liquor sold) I was like @ now wht more to say!!! NANAK JEEVTIYAA MAR REHIYE, AISA JOG KAMAIYE||
