  1. I was searching igurbani.com which gives correct pronunciation of Gurbani. I can’t remember all of it at once. I guess it relies on more practice, like more Sehaj Paths. The meaning becomes clearer. I have noticed slight variants in it. This could be because it’s written in old Punjabi.
  2. I am a uni student and have to decide my career path . What path should I do to seek guidance from Waheguru and make the right decision .

    Trouble in marriage

Satshriakal ji sareya nu! Im a 27 yr old married woman. Its been 2and a half years of my marriage. And it was against the will of my family. I stay alone cos me and my husband have alot of issues and troubles with each other ever since we got married. We had a 3 year long relationship before we got married and it's been 6 years now that we're together. But due to some past bad experiences and things that took place it seems we have an intensive amount of hatred towards each other now and thus we are thinking of filing a divorce. As much as i want to save this marriage, i also know it isn't a very sane idea. I believe he is seeing another woman out of our wedlock who is driving him crazy and thus, he has lost all love, compassion and humanity towards me. The marriage has also got so abusive both physically and verbally. I still love him though so is there a path i can do to save my marriage and get him back on the right track. I also think someone might have done something to him or brainwashed him. Not sure! It's causing me alot of depression

  10. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Ji. I have a question and I hope someone can guide me to the right way: If I need to read bani from Guru Granth Sahib ji, gutka sahib ji or if I need to touch any holy photos or holy material(example periodically cleaning the worship space), do I need to take complete shower and wear clean clothes and then do the needful? Isn't it sufficient If I just wash my hands properly after using the toilet and then touch gutka sahib, guru granth sahib ji or any holy photo or any holy material.
  11. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Some times when I can't concentrate on Path, I force my self to and then my head starts hurting. Then It gets really hard to carry on. Also I wanted to know that sometimes its difficult for me to recall meanings of banis, and then I start feeling down after I force my self to remember. Does Guru Ji care if on somedays when this happens I just like close my eyes and recite his banis ? Also am i right in thinking I have no power, about concentrating and remembering the meanings of banis. It will all come one day with his grace. Also is it ok if I spread Nitnem through out the day, instead of reciting it all in one sitting? Please forgive me if i said anything wrong offensive or wrong. Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh
  12. Hi, After trying to get an app for Android to show nitnem prayers, I was very dissapointed to see some apps showing advertisements with prayers. This is very distracting for me and most likely other persons. I created apps for Android and Firefox mobile devices which can be found here: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.malton.nitnem&hl=en https://marketplace.firefox.com/app/nitnem-sikh-prayers?src=search Furthermore, because the firefox app is web based, I also deployed the website http://www.nitnem.net with the same texts. All texts are shown in similar format with gurmukhi, then transliteration and then translation. These texts are based on those found on http://fateh.sikhnet.com/s/DownloadBanis and http://www.gurbanifiles.org/pocket_pc/index.htm and required formatting to a text and then coding of java code to make it html based as well as javascript to render correctly with options such as Larger/Smaller Text and Night Reading Mode. Note that there are no advertisements or never will be any advertisements or any cost whatsoever. I am doing this completely for free. The texts included so far are the following: - Japjee Saahib (Japji Sahib) - Shabad Hazaaray (Shabad Hazare) - Jaapu Saahib (Jaap Sahib) - Tav Parsaad Svaye - Kabyo Bach Baynti Chaupai - Anand Saahib (Anand Sahib) - Rehraas Saahib (Rehras Sahib) - Ardas - Sohilaa (Sohila) - Baareh Maahaa - Sukhmani Sahib - Assa Dee Vaar (Asa Ki Vaar) - Sidh Gost - Artee - Lawa Please do advise your opinions on this matter. Also advise if any further texts should be included or any other improvements that could occur.
  13. Few days back.... I got one question in my mind How does a person react if he is growing in spirituality... that is for sure that with reciting the name you are enhancing your spiritual power, but how can you judge it. I feel changes in myself a lot many times and I even feel relaxed and satisfied with my self.. a kind of peace is developing... Is it this, the sign of Spiritual growth? and yes i feel more relaxed while doing simran as compared to doing path.. this happened few days back.. Can anyone help me out to understand this situation?

  15. I can read and write Gurmukhi well, but I have some trouble with understanding certain paths. Do we have to do our path in the original Punjabi? Wouldn't it be better for people who can't read/understand gurbani to read it in a language they understand. So when they do Japji Sahib, they could read it in English. I mean the whole point of doing path is to understand and take on board the message gurbani gives.
