A couple of things:

Get a Punjabi Alphabet book and you can read that in your leisure. Also, a English to Punjabi dictionary, so whenever you want to find about a word, you can look at the meaning, the punjabi spelling, and english spelling. And its' true Practice does make perfect. The more you read, the more you know, the more you know, the better. :TH:

Gurufateh!

do all the above ^^ also try and join a Panjabi class somewhere - the more your around the language the more you'll pick up on it.

OR just spend more time with your Bibi lol - am sure you'll be forced to speak Panjabi - physcially having to use it also helps

if you're looking to learn the basics over the Net then:

http://www.rajkaregakhalsa.net/punjabi.htm

or download the Learn Punjabi Yourself Course from:

http://www.rajkaregakhalsa.net/downloads.htm

practise makes perfect so try having a go at reading Punjabi and try making a habit of speaking to people in Punjabi at GuruGhar or in sangat.
