SUNDAY 26TH APRIL 2009

WJKK WJKF

This years Vaisakhi Celebrations are going ahead in Birmingham, this includes;

Procession (Nagar Kirtan( A: from Ramgarhia Sikh Gurdwara, Graham Street, Hockley - 10AM

Procession (Nagar Kirtan) B: from Guru Nanak Gurwara, High Street, Smethwick - 10AM

Both Processions (Nagar Kirtans) will finish at Handsworth Park, Birmingham.

The colourful celebrations in Handsworth Park will start at 11am with live music, entertainment, a children’s stage, Sikh arts and sporting displays.

With the arrival of the processions (between 12:30 and 1:15pm) the traditional ceremonies will take place, and a free vegetarian feast (Langar) will be on offer and also the Darbar would be in the centre of the park!

Open Air Celebration - Handsworth Park will start when Nagar Kirtans arrive and finish @ 6PM

More Info regarding Seva on the day will be posted sortly!

will there be anything dedicated to the attack on 11 saroops of our beloved Satguru Ji - or not?

Do you mean during the vaisakhi "celebrations"??? Arent you a spoil sport :rolleyes: Dont bring up that topic.....its time to forget and party. I mean the time to 'remember' is in june when we walk around london "never forgetting 84".

on a serious note.....Less than a month after the attack on Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, and with the culprit still not caught....we will celebrate as a panth...fantastic.
