You know I have been thinking that as virtually no coverage of Operation Bluestar has been given by the media in the UK, the truth is that we are really considered nobodies here.

Sure, politicians will turn up a Gurdwaras when they feel, and receive siropas for a photo opportunity. But otherwise, they seem to not give a flying fudge about Sikhs and their concerns. This is sad as the UK has the biggest Sikh community outside of the Panjab apparently.

Sometimes I think, that unless youare a threat to these people in some way, be it militarily, terrorist or economic, they don't pay attention. What brought this home to me was how the miners strike is given considerably more attention than the planned genocide in 1984.

Solution: We need to realise what our real position is here politically and who iur reall allies are and who doesn't give a cr4p.
