It's a funny topic to talk about. We laugh when others are angry, but self torment when we are.

When we do daily chores, go school, work, etc we look around and judge others.....that voice in our head says 'look at that guy, he/she thinks their the best'.....Straight away jealousy kicks in and before you know it angers staring right at you. It's one of the five powerful vices which continues to entangle our life with violence. Guru sahib explains it nicely:

ਕਠਨ ਕਰੋਧ ਘਟ ਹੀ ਕੇ ਭੀਤਰਿ ਜਿਹ ਸੁਧਿ ਸਭ ਬਿਸਰਾਈ ॥

kathan karodhh ghatt hee kae bheethar jih sudhh sabh bisaraaee ||

The heart is filled with anger and violence, which cause all sense to be forgotten.

So how can we bang 'anger' out?

Well, to put it simply, by remaining calm. A very hard thing to do if your the average angry guy out there like me. There are ways to help reduce anger. This katha is mainly about 'kaam' but bhai sahib mentions alot about khoradh too:

So lets all try to live along with the guru jee's shabad bani:

ਕਾਮ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਅਰੁ ਲੋਭ ਮੋਹ ਬਿਨਸਿ ਜਾਇ ਅਹੰਮੇਵ ॥

Sexual desire, anger, greed and emotional attachment - may these be gone, and egotism as well.

Speaking of anger:: Dhan Dhan Mahapursh Sant Baba Gurbachan singh ji said that in Kaljug theres a whole lot of Augans (Bad Atributes) In ppl for example we kaljugi jeev(being) Swear, Slander, Gossip, Steal ,Cheat etc.

Sant ji said we should stop doing veechar of other ppls bad qualities becaus when we do veechar of their bad qualities like this guy has such a big ego those bad attributes come inside us!

Anger is a disease as If an angry man is yelling at sumone it causes the other person to light on fire and get as angry as him, thus we should stay away from ppl that get angry alot we thinkwe can handle it but slowly the anger builds up inside us, a wise baba said that like how a hot oven causes things to heat up such is what happens when we stand beside an angry human being, thus just make an excuse leave the situation and the angry person will feel stup id that why has my friend left oh damn i said sumthing wrong or spoke to much!

Thus we should Do Gurbani di Veechar only because doing veechar of Gurbani we can pull out concepts from Bani which we can Gurparsaadh use in our day-to-day living such as speaking sweetly, not thinking of yourself as superior to others, seeing God in all, doing seva, simran and reading bani to make our eyes pavitar, listening to bani so that are ears become purified, writing bani so that our hands become blessid,,

Forgiveness cools the fire of Anger that ignites inside us, thus it is an important quality that we should try to obtain from Bani by reading arths of tuks of bani about khima (forgiveness)

ਫਰੀਦਾ ਬੁਰੇ ਦਾ ਭਲਾ ਕਰਿ ਗੁਸਾ ਮਨਿ ਨ ਹਢਾਇ ॥

Farīḏā bure ḏā bẖalā kar gusā man na hadẖā▫e.

Fareed, answer evil with goodness; do not fill your mind with anger.

ਦੇਹੀ ਰੋਗੁ ਨ ਲਗਈ ਪਲੈ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਪਾਇ ॥੭੮॥

Ḏehī rog na lag▫ī palai sabẖ kicẖẖ pā▫e. ||78||

Your body shall not suffer from any disease, and you shall obtain everything. ||78||
