wjkk wjkf , Ok , I am a university student . Due to bad circumstances , I was not able to study well and since its my last year , I am very scared . Because I am not sure whether I will even pass or not . So , I did ardas and took cyber hukamnama .

ਸੂਹੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੧ ॥

सूही महला १ ॥

Sūhī mėhlā 1.

Soohee, First Mehl:

ਭਾਂਡਾ ਹਛਾ ਸੋਇ ਜੋ ਤਿਸੁ ਭਾਵਸੀ ॥

भांडा हछा सोइ जो तिसु भावसी ॥

Bẖāʼndā hacẖẖā so▫e jo ṯis bẖāvsī.

That vessel alone is pure, which is pleasing to Him.

ਭਾਂਡਾ ਅਤਿ ਮਲੀਣੁ ਧੋਤਾ ਹਛਾ ਨ ਹੋਇਸੀ ॥

भांडा अति मलीणु धोता हछा न होइसी ॥

Bẖāʼndā aṯ malīṇ ḏẖoṯā hacẖẖā na ho▫isī.

The filthiest vessel does not become pure, simply by being washed.

ਗੁਰੂ ਦੁਆਰੈ ਹੋਇ ਸੋਝੀ ਪਾਇਸੀ ॥

गुरू दुआरै होइ सोझी पाइसी ॥

Gurū ḏu▫ārai ho▫e sojẖī pā▫isī.

Through the Gurdwara, the Guru's Gate, one obtains understanding.

ਏਤੁ ਦੁਆਰੈ ਧੋਇ ਹਛਾ ਹੋਇਸੀ ॥

एतु दुआरै धोइ हछा होइसी ॥

Ėṯ ḏu▫ārai ḏẖo▫e hacẖẖā ho▫isī.

By being washed through this Gate, it becomes pure.

ਮੈਲੇ ਹਛੇ ਕਾ ਵੀਚਾਰੁ ਆਪਿ ਵਰਤਾਇਸੀ ॥

मैले हछे का वीचारु आपि वरताइसी ॥

Maile hacẖẖe kā vīcẖār āp //ṯā▫isī.

The Lord Himself sets the standards to differentiate between the dirty and the pure.

ਮਤੁ ਕੋ ਜਾਣੈ ਜਾਇ ਅਗੈ ਪਾਇਸੀ ॥

मतु को जाणै जाइ अगै पाइसी ॥

Maṯ ko jāṇai jā▫e agai pā▫isī.

Do not think that you will automatically find a place of rest hereafter.

ਜੇਹੇ ਕਰਮ ਕਮਾਇ ਤੇਹਾ ਹੋਇਸੀ ॥

जेहे करम कमाइ तेहा होइसी ॥

Jehe karam kamā▫e ṯehā ho▫isī.

According to the actions one has committed, so does the mortal become.

ਅੰਮ੍ਰਿਤੁ ਹਰਿ ਕਾ ਨਾਉ ਆਪਿ ਵਰਤਾਇਸੀ ॥

अम्रितु हरि का नाउ आपि वरताइसी ॥

Amriṯ har kā nā▫o āp //ṯā▫isī.

He Himself bestows the Ambrosial Name of the Lord.

ਚਲਿਆ ਪਤਿ ਸਿਉ ਜਨਮੁ ਸਵਾਰਿ ਵਾਜਾ ਵਾਇਸੀ ॥

चलिआ पति सिउ जनमु सवारि वाजा वाइसी ॥

Cẖali▫ā paṯ si▫o janam savār vājā vā▫isī.

Such a mortal departs with honor and renown; his life is embellished and redeemed, and the trumpets resound with his glory.

ਮਾਣਸੁ ਕਿਆ ਵੇਚਾਰਾ ਤਿਹੁ ਲੋਕ ਸੁਣਾਇਸੀ ॥

माणसु किआ वेचारा तिहु लोक सुणाइसी ॥

Māṇas ki▫ā vecẖārā ṯihu lok suṇā▫isī.

Why speak of poor mortals? His glory shall echo throughout the three worlds.

Nānak āp nihāl sabẖ kul ṯārsī. ||1||4||6||

O Nanak, he himself shall be enraptured, and he shall save his entire ancestry. ||1||4||6||

The Way u understand what Guru Sahib is saying, is to personalize Guru Sahibs hukam, That Guru Sahib is Given me this updesh! i must understand and bring it into my life:

This line really hit me hard, How often do u go to the Gurdwara? Guru Sahib is Saying Go to The Gurdwara you wont have any more ?s because you obtain understanding of Guru Sahibs Parm Pavitar Marag Panth!

I Read Arth from Isher Micro Media and It GOes into Detail of How When We go to Guru Sahib we leave our ego aside, If we take our Ego with us to the gurdwara no teaching can go inside, we have to leave our manmat and listen to Guru sahib and walk toward this path by reading bani which when it is heard our ears are purified, our eyes become all-seeing they are no longer covered with the mayl dirt of our vikaars,,

What do we see when we have the dirt of Vikaars on our eyes?

Anger=we get angry when we look at others and this world

Greed= We look at others' material objects and we get the strong desire to obtain MORE Material Wealth then our neighbours, We are greedy we want more,"we want better quality" this & that,, we are never satisfied and our eyes r always looking at other ppls wealth,

Emotional Attachment= We look at our children, friends, our gf/bfs, our family memebrs and we think they belong to us, we look at them thru such immense attachment that we cant bear to be apart for a week, but in the end no ones going with u newhere,,

Sexual Desire=This seems to be basically the worst one, We look at the opposite sex at think sexual thoguhts, we check them out, we can see anyone as a brother/sister, everything is a sex object our eyes are perved out, soo much mayl on them, in kaljug incest occurs becuz of this dirt thinking and dirty tv shows, porn which corrupt our mind,

Ego=We look at evryone like they are a piece of <banned word filter activated> compared to us, becuz Im so Smart, I have the best voice, I am such a Giani, I am so beautiful, We have so much Ego that we cant bear to see anyone better than us, thus we judge them to make our ego feel better

ਮਨਿ ਮੈਲੈ ਸਭੁ ਕਿਛੁ ਮੈਲਾ ਤਨਿ ਧੋਤੈ ਮਨੁ ਹਛਾ ਨ ਹੋਇ ॥

मनि मैलै सभु किछु मैला तनि धोतै मनु हछा न होइ ॥

Man mailai sabẖ kicẖẖ mailā ṯan ḏẖoṯai man hacẖẖā na ho▫e.

When the mind is filthy, everything is filthy; by washing the body, the mind is not cleaned.

How Can this Disgusting Dirt Be Washed from our Eyes?

Going to the Gurdwara and with immense love look upon our Beloved Dhan dhan Guru Granth Sahib ji

ਜਿਨੀ ਡਿਠਾ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਭਾਉ ਕਰਿ ਤਿਨ ਕੇ ਸਭਿ ਪਾਪ ਗਵਾਈ ॥

Jinī diṯẖā merā saṯgur bẖā▫o kar ṯin ke sabẖ pāp gavā▫ī.

Those who have gazed lovingly upon my True Guru - all their sins are taken away.

A technique to memorize bani is to keep repeating 2 lines from a shabad, stare at the bani with so much concentration and memorize every lagh akhar, every onkar, siharee, memorize these 2 lines of bani to the point that you can give a written test and pass 100%

when u close ur eyes picture the bani and akhars inside u as u say the shabd in ur mind our outloud, this is a good technique to concentrate and memorize bani and never 4get it

Guru Sahib is Antarjamee, Maharaj knows how we think feel and act, so are we doing our actions in the purity of intention or thru our vikaars?!

For example Sumone can call me bhenji with the utmost love and i feel they respect me as a sister becus of their sweet words and the vibes they give off, Now theres also another Singh who stutters and awkwardly says bhenji becuz his mind is so filthy he cant project the word bhenji and actually mean it,

only Guru Sahib knows whos acting and whos real

I think we need to balance our school with our spiritual life, Having a Spiritual Practise(NItnem, Simran, Gurdwara Sangat,Seva) will help us deal with our stress calmly and we will be more happy and energetic in general, meditation is rejeuvanating for your mind, like sleeping is rejeuvanating for your body,,

If we plant deeds that are truthful(we dont cheat in exams, we dont pay sumone to do write a essay 4 us) Only then can we expect to reap the benefits of truthful actions, if we plant poison we will not be able to digest the posionous fruit that will come from it, it will cause pain, thats karma thats gonna kik u for all the times we've mistreated ppl, sworn and spoke harshly,

If we Plant karams of Simran, Seva and bani then Gurparsaadh we will reicieve countless fruits and our good karams will multiply, Just thinknig of God with a pure heart for 1 second is a blessing and we get so much laha from it becuz its Kaljug and its so hard to meditate, everything is a blockage in our way to spirituality

When Guru Sahib Gifts that Humble Being with naam then he is saved and his whole family is saved,

ਸਭ ਵਡਿਆਈਆ ਹਰਿ ਨਾਮ ਵਿਚਿ ਹਰਿ ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਧਿਆਈਐ ॥

सभ वडिआईआ हरि नाम विचि हरि गुरमुखि धिआईऐ ॥

Sabẖ vaḏi▫ā▫ī▫ā har nām vicẖ har gurmukẖ ḏẖi▫ā▫ī▫ai.

All glorious greatness is in the Name of the Lord; as Gurmukh, meditate on the Lord.

ਥਿਰੁ ਘਰਿ ਬੈਸਹੁ ਹਰਿ ਜਨ ਪਿਆਰੇ ॥

थिरु घरि बैसहु हरि जन पिआरे ॥

Thir gẖar baishu har jan pi▫āre.

Remain steady in the home of your own self, O beloved servant of the Lord.

ਸਤਿਗੁਰਿ ਤੁਮਰੇ ਕਾਜ ਸਵਾਰੇ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥

सतिगुरि तुमरे काज सवारे ॥१॥ रहाउ ॥

Saṯgur ṯumre kāj savāre. ||1|| rahā▫o.

The True Guru shall resolve all your affairs. ||1||Pause||

Sevā suraṯ na jāṇā kā▫ī ṯum karahu ḏa▫i▫ā kirmā▫iṇā. ||12||

I know nothing about service and awareness; please take pity upon this worm. ||12||
