Veer I think the pag makes no difference. But the person does. Majority of young people tie a pag and then shave their dhaari, I have more of a issue with that because either keep kesh and wear the pag and grow within your faith, or just cut your kesh (and dhaari) and don't wear the pag.

Agree with everything you say, but surely the dastar makes a difference, from a practical view if not anything else. One of my relatives wears one and in the evening he plonks it on to the sideboard and the satkar is missing in this case right?

plus I can never imagine a bibi wearing one, not that I've witnessed at least.....

Lol Pra, might just happen sooner rather later. You can need say never.

Your right aswell, the pag with starch on it does lose it's satkar, but I think the satkar can only be present if the sikh (male or female) has satkar for the gurus pyaari roop in the first place.

I find some Nihang Singh what tie HUGE dumalla out of satkar alil misguided. If something so big is gonna affect your physical fighting, it's just unpractical and like in sheikh farids bani, we shouldn't be afraid if getting dirt on our pag, because we will all be dirt very soon.

To sum up what I think: Khalsa roop satkar first has to begin with satkar of Maryada within the insaan male/female.

Hopefully the sikh who ties the starched turban may understand why it may be deemed as inappropriate to the guru roop.

I'm guilty of wearing a patka, it's hard wearing a pag when in the gym but I guess this is just an excuse right. I guess a dumalla would be better suited, but I have yet to master the dumalla tying technique.

I'm sorry satkar is highly important for dastar , siropa given to Guru Amar Das ji by Guru Angad Dev was tied on his head as he wanted to maintain utmost satkar. Guru Gobind Singh ji removed his shoes to walk through Chamkaur di madaan because he did not want his shoes to tread on any kesh or dastar ...do you not think they got dusty then ? please realise Guru ji's hukham is to do satkar always. If we started wearing starched turbans and took them off and on like hats then they have become topis however if like my Dad tied a fresh starched dastar everyday, washing and extracting starch from rice to ensure neat finish to his dastar and untied it maintaining satkar always surely this is different? Dad used to wear a starched one back in the early sixties-seventies and even put fixo in his dhardi to set it neat for the office but once he had amrit in 1975 he stopped starching his dastar and beard . Then when he had amrit again in Jatha reinsbhai as there were questionable instructions given by panj piarey (can wear makeup, jewellery(including earrings) can eat fish/maas) he started wearing two dastars small gol under soft nok vali pagg . people change with more information about Sikhi

Make-up and jewelry aren't Bhujer Kurehits,(though both are not recommended).

    • 2) They were physically retarded... Come to think of it. Their facial features did resemble yours so they must have been some fellow inbred retarded relatives of yours. So ask your family, Find out who kera kera from your family got a ktapa from a Singh six years back.    I don't need to lie nor do I need to lie to try impress a knob like you.  I'm quite happy tbh, that's why you should never ever start trouble with someone, you never know what will happen. There are many factors on how to to fight against multiple people....how to take on multiple at once. I'll give you one example which helped me that day ,an obstacle in the way so they have to be forced to engage where it will be weak for them to strike from and you have the advantage.  they will have to go around the obstacle to engage you by that time...you have the advantage and they played right into your trap ie Engaging from the sides. Having an obstacle right between you and your opponents..so they have to go around if they want to come within range to strike you.  . Strategy. Your mindset. Intelligence..jeeeet..something your mind will never be able to comprehend. Moreover understanding striking range...once someone comes within range you don't wait for them to strike first....whoever comes into that range will be put to the floor in an instant .  Lastly  There was talk of such a science of archery and stick fighting only a few years ago in the Punjab that listening of it the English-educated young men will consider it astonishing. In sincerity I believe present day young men might just consider these skills and Shastar Vidiya most likely impossible, because they have not even seen those bows nevermind stringing them. Like this, many sciences and skills after attaining their heights have declined. Before 1857 many quivers full of arrows, matchlocks, flintlock guns, swords, lances, spears, Sang, Katar, Pesh Kabz, pistols, shields etc., weapons, armour and many types of chainmail was found house to house, and all the people in their homes learned and taught Shastar Vidiya and became complete soldiers. Now no one even speaks of these skills the sons of brave warriors are becoming engrossed in making money, even to us who have employed Shastar Vidiya, it is becoming a dream. In another fifty years or so, this Vidiya would have dried up and people will say it (past skills) were but, all lies' Akaal
    • 🤣🤣🤣😂Carry on. I said my piece. If you don't want to believe the vidiya works  That's Upto you. Like I said. Shastar Vidiya has saved my life many many times. From facing a knife attack and getting sliced by it however the guy received a broken face. Moreover from getting a broken bottle attempted to be put into my body by a prick. I survived without a scratch also that day but him? He's got a massive scar on his face to remember me every time he looks in the mirror 😂 Re 8 people : First guy went for headbutt and he got punched right in his face them His degenerate friends came running out to help him 😂😂😂😂 good times.   "I'm not arguing Paaji i respect you I just want to learn and share my views ji sorry If i offended anybody :)"      Nice one
    • Lies.  Listen carefully: if 8 men attacked you and failed then one of three things happened: 1) They weren't trying to hurt you - They probably wanted to intimidate you but not get charged for something serious like GBH or murder 2) They were physically retarded. The only way you could actually beat 8 people unarmed like you said is if they were seriously disadvantaged even 8-1 number advantage. Unless these boys were severely disabled or like 5 years old each there's no way they were tried to hurt you and failed 3) They beat you so hard that you're hallucinating right now. As in they gave you brain damage from the katappa and you genuinely believe that you beat them. tldr: If these "8 people" were able-bodied adult men and were actually trying to hurt you, there is no way in hell you made it out unscathed, let alone actually beat them. You're either lying/seriously deluded or these mans were blue badge holders.
