Guru Sahib Is Allways With You!

Recommended Posts

Random FlashBack :6 : When I was 8 I attended a Summer Khalsa School Camp at the Gurdwara.

My parents were Amritdhari so I was used to sitting and doing Rehras every evening and I knew the rule that i have to wash my hands before holding the english/gurmukhi Gutka Sahib,

So one day during the Camp we were having snack time, the camp councellors were telling us(all the kids) to hurry and go and sit in the darbar---> it was time for Rehras sahib.

I stuffed my mouth with ketchup chips and wiped my hands on my suit and ran up the staires to sit in Darbar Sahib.

We were all handed Gutka Sahibs, As you all know Ketchup chips leave a red powder/flavoring all over ur hands, I felt bad and scared at the same time for getting ketchup flavoring all over the gutka sahib,

After Rehras I was relieved when I handed the Gutka Sahib to the person collecting them---> thinking im glad no one saw what I did :umm: .,,,

The next day for Rehras, I washed my Hands and Sat in Darbar--> i tried to ignore the feelings of uneasiness when i thought about what i did yesterday,

I sat waiting to recieve a Gutka Sahib, When i was handed the Gutka Sahib--> i looked at it and it was the same one i had yesterday it had Ketchup Flavoring all over the front cover :o

Omg God KNOWS and sees everything, even if the person next to me doesn't even see my misdeeds!!

What was the possiblity of getting the same Gutka sahib??,, , this was a huge camp the darbar was full of kids!!

Oh Waheguru I am soo sorry for the beadbi and seek forgiveness from the Sangat by placing the dust of their feet to my forehead,

I have Siblings and they have left Sikhi Totally, they were born into it but they did not make it their own, they did not realize that they were blessed to be born into a family which gave them another chance to live this lifestyle, instead they chose to fit in with society,

I get along with my siblings but i dont have a connection with them on the emotional/spiritual level., It doesnt matter tho, becuz!

Guru Sahib has blessed us with the Khalsa Family!

I have countless brothers and sisters!

We share the same love and values for our Beautiful Faith,

They Give me support so that I do not waver on this path,

They give me their shoulder for support,

When i loose my direction in life,

Guru Sahib Speaks to me Through his Sons,

My Khalsa Brothers are Fierce and Strong,

When I feel I dont have the strength anymore,

Their Strong Words Pick me up again,

When I am feeling down,

My Khalsa Sisters lovingly embrace me!

I feel the light vibrating inside them,

I am forever a sacrifice to their Strength,

They walk with such grace,

Their Auras uplift even the lowest beings,

We look up and we see a women with a Dastar

We see Guru Gobind Singh jis Proud Daughter,

We look into her eyes and we see a bright future,

I am forever a sacrifice to their beauty,

Dhan Dhan is Our Dasmesh Father,

Vaaho Vaaho Gobind Singh Ji!

No worldy Father is capable of this Love,

The True Love that stays with us even when our body departs,

My heart is Pierced by Your Sacrifice,

I Place before you, my soul and my life,

Please Save My Honor,

I wish never to fall from the Title as

Your Daughter,

Give me Strength So that I can Fight,

KHALSA soee jo Karay nit jung!

Give me Strength to Slay the 5 demons!

And bless me with ur Heavenly qualities of

Forgivness, Mercy, Contentment, Truth and Love,

    • Net pay after taxes. If you don't agree, think about this: If you were a trader and started off in China with silk that cost 100 rupees and came to India, and you had to pay total 800 rupees taxes at every small kingdom along the way, and then sold your goods for 1000 rupees, you'd have 100 rupees left, right? If your daswandh is on the gross, that's 100 rupees, meaning you have nothing left. Obviously, you owe only 10% of 100, not 10% of 1000. No, it's 10% before bills and other expenses. These expenses are not your expenses to earn money. They are consumption. If you are a business owner, you take out all expenses, including rent, shop electricity, cost of goods sold, advertising, and government taxes. Whatever is left is your profit and you owe 10% of that.  If you are an employee, you are also entitled to deduct the cost of earning money. That would be government taxes. Everything else is consumption.
    • No, bro, it's simply not true that no one talks about Simran. Where did you hear that? Swingdon? The entire Sikh world talks about doing Simran, whether it's Maskeen ji, Giani Pinderpal Singh, Giani Kulwant Singh Jawaddi, or Sants. So what are you talking about? Agreed. Agreed. Well, if every bani were exactly the same, then why would Guru ji even write anything after writing Japji Sahib? We should all enjoy all the banis. No, Gurbani tells you to do Simran, but it's not just "the manual". Gurbani itself also has cleansing powers. I'm not saying not to do Simran. Do it. But Gurbani is not merely "the manual". Reading and singing Gurbani is spiritually helpful: ਪ੍ਰਭ ਬਾਣੀ ਸਬਦੁ ਸੁਭਾਖਿਆ ॥  ਗਾਵਹੁ ਸੁਣਹੁ ਪੜਹੁ ਨਿਤ ਭਾਈ ਗੁਰ ਪੂਰੈ ਤੂ ਰਾਖਿਆ ॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ The Lord's Bani and the words are the best utterances. Ever sing hear and recite them, O brother and the Perfect Guru shall save thee. Pause. p611 Here Guru ji shows the importance of both Bani and Naam: ਆਇਓ ਸੁਨਨ ਪੜਨ ਕਉ ਬਾਣੀ ॥ ਨਾਮੁ ਵਿਸਾਰਿ ਲਗਹਿ ਅਨ ਲਾਲਚਿ ਬਿਰਥਾ ਜਨਮੁ ਪਰਾਣੀ ॥੧॥ ਰਹਾਉ ॥ The mortal has come to hear and utter Bani. Forgetting the Name thou attached thyself to other desires. Vain is thy life, O mortal. Pause. p1219 Are there any house manuals that say to read and sing the house manual?
    • All of these are suppositions, bro. Linguists know that, generally, all the social classes of a physical area speak the same language, though some classes may use more advanced vocabulary. I'm talking about the syntax. That is, unless the King is an invader, which Porus was not. When you say Punjabi wasn't very evolved, what do you mean? The syntax must have been roughly the same. As for vocabulary, do you really think Punjabis at the time did nothing more than grunt to express their thoughts? That they had no shades of meaning? Such as hot/cold, red/yellow/blue, angry/sweet/loving/sad, etc? Why must we always have an inferiority complex?
    • I still think about that incident now and then, just haven't heard any developments regarding what happened, just like so many other things that have happened in Panjab!
