Regarding Sikhsangat.com, It always helps not to worry about financials and sometime we just pay for whatever is needed out of our own pockets. There have been times when we received donations and they pretty much covered most of the costs. We took off goggle adsense because members felt strongly against it as it was difficult to control the ads. Now, some money is being raised through the top banner adverts which goes toward hosting costs, software upgrades etc.

But, money isn't always the best way to support sikh sites, I think what is more important is quality contributions from the members. Right now, forums are pretty much like gurdwaras where we dont discuss sikhi and just fight amongst ourselves. Other are silent spectators who just read and see what goes on but dont chip in.

As a sewadar, I think my request to everyone reading this topic would be that if you want to support Sikhsangat.com then please become a member, log in and take part in discussions. The forum shouldnt just be about topics that need discussing, one can always post sikhi related articles, sakhis, information that would benefit non sikhs etc on the forum as well.

Just my do paises.
