Sangat jee, I need help in finding this shabd for someone. I only have the translation and this person has requested me to get the gurmukhi version of this shabd. Would be grateful if any of you could help me find.....i've been searching all day and no luck as yet :lol:

Shabd (translated) is as follows:

O Beautiful God, in the forest thou art green

In the mountains thou art high

In the river thou art restless

In the ocean thou art grave

To the serviceful thou art service

To the lover thou art love

To the sorrowful thou art sympathy

To the yogi thou art bliss

I bow at your feet O Beautiful Lord God

I'm about 99% sure that no shabad exists.

I did a search of those translations online and its attributed to Guru Nanak Dev Jee in 2 separate places, both of which lack real reliability.

yeah that's what i suspected japnaam veerjee. this person gave me the translation from a book authored by a yogi(i dunno which one) and because this person does not know much about sikhee, i was asked to help get the gurbani version for them. Thanks millions for your help sangat jee :wub:

it's from Autobiography of Yogi (Paramhansa Yogananda)

That's his translations of "Nanak's song"

although he also refers to it as an "ancient Hindu chant"

i think i used the search tool at srigranth.org (currently down) and was able to find the Shabad a whiles back

i'll see if i can find it again
